I've got a couple VPS subscriptions. I can setup a vanilla Abe block explorer if you guys want, or if icanprogram still has the css for the older block explorer I can set that up.

Hey, it's a custom install, running on fedoracha.in. The problem right now is that the database doesn't handle the large amount of transactions. I'll try to upgrade to a different database system, see what happens. Your offer is of course much appreciated, but I understand if you have all coins in a single Abe.

our voting process looks good, also noticed that the new thread is bringing us new attention (read 360 times already)! After we settle on the plan we can start building, meanwhile still looking for devs.
kebwesi, I'm loving your ideas and enthusiasm! will respond tomorrow, gotta go to bed now.

My offer stands, let me know how the upgrade goes. I'll setup a rpc-ace type block explorer in the mean time.

Hi icanprogram and MystPhysX, would it be possible to create an app where TiPS users can trade discounts/offers for TiPS in a dedicated market?
MystPhysX, will you enable the richlist?

Should be possible, but logistics is not my area of expertise. I've got a lot of work piling up so I'll get on the richlist over the weekend.

What is the current roster?
edit: (sorry didn't know the word roster ) Brain Of TiPS. It's on the gdrive. I'm adding all those who want to help to the volunteer list, and then we can as a community agree on the final list above. I suggested the members on the list would be voted for by the community and can be voted out, this way we can guarantee that those who take on the responsibilities will be doing a good job otherwise voted out. would you like to be also on the dev team to help TiPS on the coming journey?

How can I get my wallet working again? I updated to latest version, still no connections. I tried to add the node lines to my config file, but it isnt even there at C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\FedoraCoin\FedoraCoin.conf you need to create a new file and call it FedoraCoin.conf, do that by creating a new txt file with the right click, from the new file create another new text file from the menu, add the lines, then when you click "save as" you should chose the type of file from the drop down list to be "any file" instead of txt. you can delete the first one you created. you need then to close the program and restart. it might take a while to establish connection at first.

Hi
About the Tipping, do we have a strategy? Or is it inspired by the moment?
I'd prefer a clear cut strategy, with a target/deliverables. An example would be to identify people in whichever industry, my pet is Hospitality, so I would select 10 or 20 medium to small players in this industry and tip them a sizeable amount, say 1Mil TiPS, accompanied with an introduction letter outlining how TiPS would add value to their customer service and retention. Meanwhile, I'd negotiate with a few of them to tie down an offer/reward for redeeming TiPS at their establishment. If done right, the offer's/rewards from one service provider can be set up to trade against/with the rewards from another service provider. The end game would be to set out TiPS as the medium of exchange for Tips, Offers, Discounts etc within the Hospitality Industry.
What do you think? Do we have real good copy writers among us?
Edit: I have set aside 50M TiPS (EYQdzmdY22BZpM4tWjqptN8EgvrpZMyoUn) to start this off. 5M TiPS to the best cover letter to go to major Players in the Hospitalism/Tourism Industry that explains the use cases for the 1M TiPS that will be sent to them. The community will decide on the best. A time limit should be imposed so as to move this project forward at a steady clip. The remaining 45M TiPS will be sent out to 45 Firms in the hospitality industry as an introduction to TiPS.
this is a great idea and I like how you put it into a workable project. I suggest we create a small team to work out the details and create it. We might be also able to merge it with the idea of helping small merchants start accepting TiPS for their tipping jar and expanding to start accepting it as a payment method since we can also replace their coupons systems with this (eg. small imbiss, hairdressers, pharmacies etc). the idea was expanded upon by orinoco and I think he might be interested in participating. project is described here: 1. Use of TiPS by Merchants - Project Proposition I added your idea to the projects files : Coupons - Hospitality IndustryI propose we create a team of the members interested in this project who can devote a little of their time to it, with a new trello project so we can distribute tasks and get those things done. If anybody is interested please comment and I'll add you to the project, I would also like to participate. sounds good? Hi icanprogram and MystPhysX, would it be possible to create an app where TiPS users can trade discounts/offers for TiPS in a dedicated market?
Should be possible, but logistics is not my area of expertise. how would you go about creating that? are we talking about colored coins or how would you represent the discounts/offers? Also would colored coins be doable? might actually be the killer app for this kind of business.

I'm suggesting a total coin supply of 500M, please see the voting thread to know the reasoning behind it and let me know if you agree!

How and when can we meet online so as to discuss and thrash out these ideas?
Lets not worry too much about the coin quantities... there must have been a very good reason the initial crew decided on that number. Trading and making a profit off the coin should be the last thing to tackle. Otherwise, if all we are going to do is to cater for altcoin speculators, we could as well let the coin be.
The foremost issue is: What value does TiPS offer to the people at large? What space, in the big picture of the world economy can TiPS offer real value and thus gain its value?

Uhh We actually decided on just x5 Doge's coin supply and coin reward. This was a joke coin that we didn't expect to have any value, that changed pretty fast but we never changed the coin supply. I hacked together a richlist with some php. You can check it out at chainexplorer.info/richlist.php
