I see Mintpal have made it tougher to vote now.

NLG is 3rd on swisscex now, so if the coin retains this position it will be added next Sunday.

They will ask us, believe me Wink They say it themselves: "We reserve the right to add new markets outside of the voting system where we feel necessary."

And else we go to Swissex. We do need only 1 other save exchange besides bittrex, so they have to be fast if they want us  Cheesy

Edit: By the way is https://www.kraken.com/ mentioned already?

Digital Currencies

    XBT - Bitcoin
    LTC - Litecoin
    XDG - Dogecoin
    NMC - Namecoin
    XRP - Ripple Currency
    XVN - Ven

National Currencies

    EUR - Euro
    USD - US Dollar
    KRW - South Korean Won

Good to see NLG in that list.... maybe?
Someone experience with it?

I would like to know how their system on adding coins works.
The reason why they have so less coins, are they a new exchange?

Anyways, hope someone has experience with them, and can answer these questions.

The Lamassu ATMs are from a Portuguese company (where I'm from) and they have pointed me out to www.flycoin.net

They have shown their interest in NLG.. do you guys think we could source funds for a first experimental machine?

dimensions and price?

Hi,

Dimensions are quite small actually. 35cmx40cmx30cm.. about the same size as an old 14" CRT screen.

As for the price, I have a special price available for a test machine but I would like to talk with NLG team first to know what they want to do... unfortunately not as small as the US$1800 (as claimed in other threads) but also not as steep as US$6000.

The terminal would serve both as a payment terminal (POS) and to exchange real money by NLGs.

Have you already been in contact with them? Otherwise you could send them an email support@guldencoin.com

Private key implementation is used in the Verso Cards mobile wallet.
Most of the code is open source. Maybe key implementation code is on their githubpage? -> https://github.com/VersoSolutions/

Otherwise one could contact them.

About the private key integration, I understand it'll be quite difficult. At the moment the only mobile apps that include it are the ones from blockchain and Verso Cards.
But I think we should really try to do it. Imagine if we could use this https://www.giftcoins.me/ but than for guldencoin!

Some time ago I sent an email to Verso Cards about adding support for another coin. I have pasted it below (name of coin changed into guldencoin):

'Thank you for your interest.
We don't have plans to support altcoin in the short term.
It is worth noting that our libraries are open-source. It would be relatively straightforward for a developer to add support for guldencoin, especially if JavaScript libraries are already available.

Should you have an interest in this, I will put you in contact with our devs to discuss it further.

Best regards,
Verso support team'

Unfortunately, as I am not a coder, I have no idea how much time it would take to implement.

Hi icebear,

Yes, I have contacted them and the contact was forwarded to Guldencoin team.

As for the private keys import.. I don't know how easy it would be to do it. The app right now already allows private keys to be imported when they were generated by the app. So perhaps a different approach could be made without the need to modify the app code.

Let's imagine that you want to hand out 1000NLG on an android wallet.

1 - Clean install of Android Wallet in mobile
2 - Transfer 1000 NLG to new wallet address
3 - Save wallet private keys and set a password
4 - Distribute the file (together with the password) to whomever you want.

On the user side:
1 - Receive the file and store it somewhere in the phone
2 - Install the Guldencoin Mobile Wallet
3 - Import private key from file
4 - Reset blockchain and voilá!

I know it seems to be extra steps, but in the end, if you list step by step what is required to do using VersoCards, it is not much different.

I see Mintpal have made it tougher to vote now, I find it a bit unfair on the newer coins being added like NLG. Now you have to do about 5 trades in order to vote once every hour.

What a stupid move by Mintpal to change the voting. Very unfair and they could have attracted a lot of new traders.

Stupid move of them to want to make money out of it. Nobody is voting anymore also within the BCTcommunity, which was also a rising star in the voting. BCT was about to reach no. 1 in 8 days or so. Have send them an email as well, that it was a stupid move of them.

I Agree, it has put me off trading there somewhat. This is the second time in as many months they have changed the voting, the fee went up to 0.0002 now thats back to 0.0001 again grrrrrrr

It's actually a lot worse now, it didn't go back to 0.0001 it's gone to 0.001. I also misread that myself the first time.

Personally,  i fail to see where the fuss is with mintpal's change to the voting.
All they've done is change everything by a factor of five.
The ONLY difference now, is you can't split your hourly votes between a number of coins. That's all.
Each vote still counts the same
Each paid vote costs effectively the same amount
It's as simple as that. So, get back voting and move us up the list again! :-)

Hope they will see they made a wrong move. But if you want us to vote, it is okay with me, go ahead.

I personally don't like the idea of changing rules suddenly, but most of all, 1 vote to buy is now 0.001 BTC and that was 0.0005 BTC.
They changed that by a factor 50 instead of 5. So coins that bought votes earlier a lot, are in advantage, because payment for votes has become suddenly 10 times higher. Also people with not that much tradingvolume could support a coin, not anymore.

They should be happy with the previous situation that so much people were voting, they would become traders of Mintpal later on. Now they want you to trade more on other coins first and then you may vote for your own coin. Strange rules. They say it is about bots on voting? I say it is about making more money right now, instead of later on, when traders will come by themselves.

Hope they will see they made a wrong move. It is not just here that people dont like the changing voting riules.

Thank you dev for the 10,000 Guldencoins, that's like 10 whole blocks. Going to fly to the netherlands and buy a footlong just to test them out  Cool

I will be keeping my eye on this coin, I think it's going places. No reason this shouldn't be worth 1000 satoshis in a month.

Thanks for making awareness, I'll post it here: (I'm not dev by the way  Grin)

http://www.usacryptocoins.com/thecryptocurrencytimes/uncategorized/gulden-coin-the-only-cryptocurrency-accepted-at-subway/

When people contribute on press exposure, there are giveaway's given. (see page 1 of this ANN)

Edit:

Who can make a video of how to use the mobile wallet (the app itself and functions in it), simply explaining how to make addresses in it and how to deposit on the mobile wallet and how to pay and some other options in the app. All in one video and simply put examples in there. Should be good I think, because it is new to most of newcomers.

There is a video http://vimeo.com/94350098 already on http://guldenbeurs.nl/uitleg/ (Marketplace will open this afternoon  Cool) and at Subway of course http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r3wBJWTKJ6M&hd=1 , but the app itself could be explained as well. Making addresses in the app is done by longpress on a walletaddress by the way Wink Good to see who it was you paid for and also incoming payments. Addressbook is important to explain.

Mobile wallet download is for android in the playstore (Guldencoin Portemonnee):
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.guldencoin.androidwallet.nlg

@dev: in the playstore within the examples maybe names instead of walletaddresses?

Would be nice Wink. Please promote a bit more on the South of the Netherlands, and South-East in particular ^^.

Would be great if I someday pay a sandwich with some Guldencoins over here.

Just back from Leeuwarden, where I tested a new sandwich at Subway! Tasted delicious and I paid with the Gulden(coin) since a long time ago!
My first payment, yeah, feels good!  Cheesy
