mini pump action by those who can manipulate this.  chinese exchange addition will change nothing.  even if it would it won't be for another year LOL.

Of course it's manipulated. Whether you love of hate Maid, a chinese exchange is an excellent excuse for manipulation... generally such manipulations lead to a higher price (at least logically).

Test 4 has concluded.

There is no indication of a release date, an alpha or MVP or anything.

The spokesperson for updates has left.

The CEO notes there can be as many as 5 team meetings daily - that's a lot of admin time rather than coding.

Good luck for test 5, 6 etc?

Who knows.

People really don't get it. We are talking here about a total new private network. Something which can become huge and usable for countries with lower freedom of speech. This is something you just CAN'T roll out and hope for it that it stays working. This should be carefully tested and tuned until it is ready to go public.

These test phases are needed to ensure the quality of the network, to find bugs and problems and to check how the network is running with the lowest amount of resources. So it is pretty normal this is still in test phase and that the devs are still working on some problems.

How many games comes out with bugs and glitches? How many times Apple/Microsoft/Linux comes out with patches? People really don't understand how difficult this is to build and to ensure security and privacy. No, people really want to scream that it is still ongoing. Face this, how many coins are failed already? How many devs have abandoned their projects? How many pump and dump coins were there the last 3 years which left many people with nothing then worthless coins?

These devs are open about their project, trying to face and fix any difficulty which pops up in the test phases. This project is already ten years old, so give them some credit instead of whining if this thing ever comes live. Because it will, but not for the daytraders...they don't like this project anymore...and to be honest, just leave and put your money in eth or the doa.

If only slock.it had tested their project more thoroughly...

I want Maid to work and when it does there will be no other project like it.  Worth making sure that it is done well the first time.

Follow Maidsafe on twitter to always be informed

Hope we'll see TEST 5 with the dev-update on Tuesday. This one is meant to keep your data safe while TEST 4 was
focused on keeping connections alive and lower CPU usage with MIO.

For those interested, here's a great read about consensus without a blockchain.

You can create a wallet at https://www.omniwallet.org and send them there.

Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

We might see TEST 6 this week, which is indeed test n+1. Most of these tests are focused on getting the lower layers like routing and crust (IP-level) right. As they run a number of nodes
on their droplet servers, they see exactly where the network does right and wrong. They can't de-crypt people's data, but as their nodes are up to 20% or even 50% of the nodes in the network
they do see where the pain is. I'm running a vault right now and I'm connected to 42 other nodes.

I can see chunks come in and out etc. The CPU-usage is below 1% which is very very low. The data for
routing and keeping the network alive is about 5KB/sec. up- and down which is very low as well. This shows that the idea of SAFE is very feasible. Uploading some data works as well, same for creating an account and browsing some websites on the network. We're still limited to about 30 tot 40 MB's of data per user, but at this level the network is doing great. They thought this test was just several days as they removed some safety code to try to kill the network. But so far it's still up and running. That's a very good sign. Hopefully we'll see the next version of the launcher as well this week. Here's the mock up they provided a week ago:
