Hi guys. I've been pretty tied up and actually at a funeral right now but Doug mentioned that jl777 (dev4 hopefully) stopped by.

I'm behind him 100%. Let's get this done and with James' help, take VRC to the next level. When I get home today, 75k coins are moving from me to the supernet fund.

I've taken a close look at James' work and it seems to be the real deal. Let's rally and push to get this done and show James that our community isn't just a bunch of people who argue here and call names.

The vrc are in escrow and backing supernet itself.
There is no chance of lost funds, theft or dump at all.
Tbh my opinion is if we cant trust james theres no one else in crypto world that you can trust.
He is one of the most straight forward and honest people i know.

It's not a donation, it's a sale.  If this goes through you will get  0.00010000 BTC for each VeriCoin, paid in VeriCoin bought at market prices at that time and sent back to sending address.  This is the only way to do it clean.  

If it falls through the amount you sent to escrow will be sent back to the address it was sent from.

P.S. If you send from an exchange there is no way to send you back your coins as they use different send and receive addresses.

Uhh...fine, I guess. But why not? There will still be 90% of the coins in VRC's holders' hands. That 10% will be off the market. And the VRC developers can still go about their business to bring all of their promised features etc.

I'm trying to see the naysayers' point of view, but I really don't understand what they are saying.

Another way to look at the exact post above is that for a 10% commitment, VRC will be part of a new project. If it is successful -- excellent! If it is not, then the shares will be returned in 3 years (if I understand correctly) and in the meantime, those coins are off the market resulting in a smaller float. What is so awful about that risk/reward ratio?

Now, saying that I am still a bit confused about the "donation" part of the equation. Will those coin holders be compensated for their VRC once SuperNet's ICO is finished? Or is it more like a loan? Or is it a flat-out donation? All of those scenarios have different risk/reward ratios, of course.

EDIT:* I see that effectsToCause has cleared this up. This is NOT a donation. It is a sale for a fair price (above what it has been trading at lately). In that case, this risk/reward ratio seems to good to ignore!

I am really surprised our devs sleep right now instead of working on this deal ... but whatever ... that's how vericoin has been progressing lately.

The delusional vocal community members like Jay Jay must understand, vericoin has nothing, no innovation, it is a stagnating and slowly dying coin, there is no future without association with third party technologies like superNET. Very much what I have been arguing here for weeks in our debate abut block-chain 2 technologies (though superNET is not a strictly speaking blockchain 2 tech, but it is besides the point).

I like James' work, I follow him at the superNET thread since day one and while I am not fully agree with him software engineering approach and how he implements superNET, one thing is sure, one way or other he will get done superNET ... he is the guy who can deliver, he is what vericoin doesn't have and therefore that's what we need here.

We need to see the commitment from the devs and I suggest working with James and superNET.

If the community willing to come up with the 10% 2.6 million VRC I am willing to contribute more than my share and I will put 100k into the deal.

Now I go to play golf  ... lets hope the community and the devs will do the sensible thing and will make the deal with James.
