Sorry for this question but I'm not familiar with CLAM. What is the purpose for this coin? Any plans/roadmap or is the only made for gambling on JD?

SuperCLAM will no doubt tell you about the roadmap, but I can tell you it wasn't made for JD. I know this because CLAM was launched quite some time before I even heard about it.

Hello dooglas and Superclam. Can you or anyone please tell me the formula for figuring how many clams have to be in an address for it to mature correctly? I could have sworn I saw it among the posts but cant find it now.

Like superclam said, we need to start building services for it. CLAM is a great altcoin, there's no reason it can't be used for other applications outside of gambling. It's staking capability with a high reward, exchange support, and ~1 minute block time makes it a good candidate for lots of uses. Personally, I'm in the process of building a game (strategy/rpg) that will include both clam and bitcoin (launching Dec/Jan). This way, players that are familiar with bitcoin will also get exposed to clam as well.

But I think his point was clear enough. You can clear the clap up with one round of meds anyways . There are a wealth of features: - An extremely wide and reasonably fair(comparatively) distribution.
- A conservative money supply with less inflation than BTC for atleast two more halvings.
- A continuous reward to prevent long-term deflation.
- CLAMspeech, which enables distributed applications, proof-of-existence, or simple data storage.
- CLAMspeech has seeded the entire chain with political and religious speech - possibly giving those in the community a leg to stand on in upcoming challenges to Bitlicense-esque legislation.
- First to run Peter Todd's checklocktimeverify functionality live on chain.
- Highly customized PoWS system which more properly aligns incentives.
- A wealth of staking and other powerful custom RPC/console commands.
- Customized GUI with user customizable CSS-esque GUI.
- There are likely more; hard to keep track at this point.
If I can get a proposal together that satisfies everyone, hopefully soon: An update that simultaneously solves the blocksize, marginal network cost, investment uncertainty due to large claimers, and DDoS/Bloat protection. Additionally, sometime in the future, a fleshed out CLAMspeech protocol and examples to standardize the usage of CLAMspeech for applications.

I noticed that the technical details about clamcoin isn't on the clamclient site any longer. They're on clamcoin.org but there's no link from this thread on 1st post to that site. Any chance you can add the details: Block time, stake age, total distribution, etc?

(Against my better judgement) I decided to hold onto my 9.6(?) clams from my 2 claims and trade with them rather than cash out. I've almost doubled my clams, but I've still lost money, as the price has plummeted from .013 per to .005 per. Is there any reason for me to continue to hold?
