Nice!!!! no CNY <-> XEM but much closer I'm surprised that Bter is still in business. Lee is a known fraud and most likely stole the "hacked" BTC. The fact that people still use BTER shows the stupidity flowing through the crypto community. Such accusations are baseless. BTER is trying to pay back to users every loss. think about before you draw People into fud. Is that you Lee? Bter is either a bunch of crooks, or stupid enough to suffer two major hacks in 6 months. Either way, why would anyone want to continue trading there?

Centralized exchanges can and will run with your money whenever they want. So sitting here defending them isn't time well spent for you.

Nice!!!! no CNY <-> XEM but much closer I should write this for my friend ciappa! He chatted last week 3 times with bter team in order to adding NEM on their market directly. He promised to advertise in bitcointalk for bter market! Bter is a very serious exchange where was traded mostly 2.0 cryptocurrencies, and was the biggest market for Next. Therefore we should give them a chance and help bter with a bit of volume. We transfer now some bitcoin and NEM to bter, to support them. I would be grateful to you all, if you were do it too... so that ciappas work not was in vain! Thank you all Sounds great that ciappa talked to them also. Actually, we made a deal with bter to get NEM listed a long time ago(before the last hack), back when Crypty and Node were listed there. In fact, we've been in contact with bter, along with some other exchanges but we did not want to spread news until things were really ready. I think people know they have been hacked several times, but it seems they are trying to get their things in order. In any case, people are free to choose for themselves but everyone should trade with caution.

A brief clarification and overviewI think it's very important to understand and clarify some things here as some people are unsatisfied with our current situation and this may well be due to some unrealistic expectations. While I make this point, do note that we read everything and appreciate every bit of thoughtful criticism we can receive. After so much time and energy invested, NEM has finally launched. As you have seen, we have had a fairly smooth launch and our platform seems to be behaving as expected until now. A lot of work has been put into this, and our dev team has done everything to ensure NEM is an innovative and solid platform to build upon. Thus, our launch is a major step forward in proving that NEM is real and that our dev team can really deliver valuable innovation. But while we have launched, NEM is far from complete. In fact, all the work leading to our launch has only been our first major step in taking NEM from concept to reality. We have a great team and a solid technological foundation to build upon, so on the one hand that's everything one can wish for, but on the other, there is still a lot of work to be done. Although we are already ahead of most crypto projects, you must understand that NEM's features, killer apps and ease of use are not here yet, but are expected to be implemented until V1. This is why the price discussion, though seemingly justified now, will probably look at best negligible in the long run. We are planning to hit the masses, but not with the current version. The real journey has just begun. There will probably be a lot of hurdles and unexpected events along the road, but this will no doubt be one hell of a ride judging by all the great people we have on the team and passionate community members. What I am really saying, is that the real value of NEM lays in the future. Both dev team and marketing team have been and are still working hard because this is not the point when NEM is complete and we can relax, quite the contrary. There's still a long way to go and one year from now, NEM will probably be a lot closer to what we want. Once our we will have those things implemented, then we will be ready to offer real value and utility. That will be the point where we will hype things and everyone will hear about NEM. Right now, well, we're not there and we have work to do, but this goes one step at a time. Bottom line: The bad news is there is no guarantee in this game, despite best intentions we could fail. The good news is we have a great and passionate team which is still here and even bigger after one year, we have not run away with your money(big plus for this since it's very rare in crypto-land ) and we have delivered a solid, viable, though not yet complete product. This are the valuable things NEM has to offer now and the things with which it sets out on this journey. As it stands, chances are in our favor but there's still a long way to go, so we'd better start working smart and working together. See you later. This is a personal note and does not necessarily reflect the views of anyone else in the NEM Team. Cheers, xtester NEM marketers are a solid team and NEM devs are amazing. There is a lot of negativity and I know a lot of people wanted to wake up on launch day with a full blown ecosystem and be millionaires. That didn't happen and people are let down. Instead what we have is a very solidly built NIS with a lot of great APIs and not hardly any third party ecosystem. As time goes by NEM devs will continue to make the platform even more robust and agile and NEM marketers will help to promote an ecosystem. Life at NEM had been very busy, and is very different now after launch than before launch and again will be very different after V1 as we will have had more time to get an ecosystem going and additional features and APIs that are not and will continue to not be found elsewhere. "NEM marketers are a solid team" You can show one step from nem marketers since launch or shortly prelaunch? Nem marketing dies not exist If you want to know our recent activity, I'll try to list some. NEM marketers have a budget of exactly $0 but with that budget run Website ( http://www.nem.io/) Forum ( https://forum.ournem.com/) Facebook ( https://www.facebook.com/ourNEM) Almost 2,000 followers Twitter ( https://twitter.com/nemofficial) Almost 500 followers Reddit ( https://www.reddit.com/r/ournem) (Just starting out) Weibo ( http://weibo.com/nemchina) BTC38 ( http://www.btc38.com/altcoin/xem/) Contacted and got deals for the following exchanges and payment processor for XEM. Poloniex ( https://poloniex.com/exchange#btc_xem) Bittrex ( https://bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=BTC-XEM) Coingateway ( https://coingateway.net/) And talks have been in the works for two more Chinese exchanges as well as another payment processor. The NEM marketing team makes special efforts to answer questions as soon as possible when they come up here on this thread, Telegram, forum, and Facebook too. Wrote everything on http://blog.nem.io/nem-tutorial-list/ to make sure that all the community can work NEM. Wrote a press release last week: https://finance.yahoo.com/news/more-under-development-next-generation-205200639.html?soc_src=mediacontentstory&soc_trk=fb&fb_ref=DefaultWorking with different news outlets to get stories published about NEM Article: http://allcoinsnews.com/2015/04/07/nem-qa/Article: http://cointelegraph.com/news/113839/nem-launches-targets-old-economy-with-proof-of-importanceArticle: http://cointelegraph.com/news/113698/proof-of-importance-nem-is-going-to-add-reputations-to-the-blockchainArticle: http://8btc.com/thread-15618-1-2.htmlArticle: http://www.8btc.com/nem_interview_about_poiArticle: http://www.8btc.com/nempressreleaseand more coming later. Helped to get these apps listing NEM as coin tickers: Apple: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/coinfeed-bitcoin-dogecoin/id781662999 Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobnetic.coinguardian&hl=enGetting listed on CMC https://coinmarketcap.com/#BTCAnd getting listed on Cryptocoin Charts https://www.cryptocoincharts.info/coins/infoGetting listed on Coin Gecko http://www.coingecko.com/Made a video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ClzvI5EFssAgain, all right now with a budget of $0. Actually worse than a budget of $0. We have been spending our own money. In my case over $600, and others have spent a lot more than me. So yes, marketing has been busy and hard at work and is still hard at work trying to make things happen in the future. Hopefully soon we will get a real budget and start to really make a movement. What a lot of people wanted was to wake up one day at launch and become millionaires with a full ecosystem up and running built on NEM. That is not realistic even in the best case scenario, but with a lot more hard work and time, it might just be possible. I know it is my intention. That´s advertising not marketing. Marketing means you define your target group and build some use-cases. After that you can advertise your use-cases. What I am missing is a strategy and defined goals/milestones. At the moment it feels like NXT. Build something you don´t know what to do with and nobody wants. And like you see, no company wants to use NXT, and the price is falling to nowhere. If you have a community full of bagholders you have a problem. In NEm at the moment everybody who bought a stake on Nxt ae is already a bagholder. So Houston we have a problem! A couple of pages back makoto said he doesn´t know where Ethereum is heading. If you informyourself about them you will see a direction and you see use-cases, a strategy and well done marketing. NEM has nothing of that at the moment. So I would suggest that all the devs come to a round table and fix a strategy. Work it out, set milestones and features and inform the community. The mess is already done, time for action, guys.

After some discussion with a coleague of mine we came to the conclusion that this took a year + to develope, and the launch was 6 moths late. Taken these facts into consideration, do not expect anything groundbreaking for at least, AT L E A S T another 12 months. Prepare for 40 sats in the next 12 months of discussion and no results. There will be talk and talk and more talk. Look at this realistically. The crypto world second hand moves fast, and this coin will be the next reddcoin, syscoin, vert, etc... These developers lack marketing skillset. They also have nothing innovative but talk about innovation. Talk gets us no where in this game.
Hello dandruff1138, Have you built something similar? Do you really know what it takes? Are you a dev? I very much doubt that. Anyway, I think it would be best if you would sell your stake in NEM and just move to your other projects. There's no point in further wasting your time and ours. In fact I want to repeat where we stand with NEM today; people who understand and want to bet on this project are very welcome but must see this is a long term project, not a pump and dump scheme. People who do not believe in NEM are also free to leave and would do us a favor in doing that. There will not be much of a price increase with all the people who have payed or done almost nothing for their XEM and are just waiting for the right moment to dump. The sooner the filtering happens and uninterested people leave, the faster we move forward beyond the initial confusing phase. If you somehow missed this post, please make sure you read it. It might give you and your colleague some thoughts regarding what your next moves should be. If you guys would walk the walk and not blame the community for your flaws you might actually make a name for yourself. But it is nothing but lip service and quieting any criticism, sticking to the status quo I see. "Movement" my behind.

dandruff1138, We are not blaming the community for anything. The above was a clear explanation of where NEM stands, and what we have to offer now. It is also there so that people can see and understand that something has been done, but more importantly, it is there to signal that this is not a pump and dump scheme. We have just launched, are working on things, but this is just the beginning and there's still a lot to be done. We will talk about the future, but that is another story. As for the criticism, everyone can play the role of the critic, especially on bitcointalk. But it's quite something to be able to offer some thoughtful criticism, that is the tricky part and the part we are actually looking for yet mostly fail to see in your posts.

I agree with you. I came to a similar conclustion. The price will increase mid- and long-term along with new features. And I believe that the NEM developers have some good features into their pipeline.

Critics on this forum are a satoshi a dozen. NEM was never positioned or promoted as a pump & dump scheme. Those who feel holding onto XEM is a bad investment really should just sell out and leave. But they won't. They'll keep trolling and FUDing the thread. So thankful the forum doesn't put a cap on how many you can ignore. My ignore button just might save this thread for me.

I have a Suggestion:
Due this is a movement, we should discute about if we should create a NEM Club or something similiar! Everyone can join paying a small fee every month (as example 0.04 BTC), or every year... For that he should get more Informations than the public part of Forums, and maybe to grant a say for this People. With the fees NEM can Support aktive Marketing or distribute bounties...
I'm not sure if it is right way, but so any critic would have a opportunity to making something self.
