I use it, yeah, the coin switching is great and there is a lot of customizability. I mainly got it for remote access monitoring. I wouldn't recommend paying for it unless you have enough rigs to make it worthwhile. And yeah you can dual mine, it uses claymores or w/e you select.

@patrike

I've noticed a lot of people trying AM due to nicehash issue. These users are looking for a super simple 1 click solution to mining.

Have you thought about a simple version. It could also be a free version which mined for you at 1-2%. Still much better than NH.

Just a thought.

I know you have a LOT of things you want to do with the software, is there a list users can vote or share ideas? Are you on the zpool discord channel?

Does this software has unlimited lifetime updates per licence ?

I see: A one time cost, including free upgrades to the latest software version.

But if now for example is 1.0 and next updates is 1.1 , 1.2, 1.9... is ok, but when big update is coming like 2.0  ... will get the update ? Some softwares trick by asking new licence when change version.

I appreciate your suggestions here.

I agree that there are concepts that can be simplified. However, it shouldn't be super difficult for to get started if you follow a wizard flow like this one:
http://www.awesomeminer.com/help/profitswitching.aspx#profitsingle
However, what Nicehash do better is having more predefined parameters and easier to get started when using mixed systems like nVidia + AMD + CPU and so on. If there are any specific changes that could simplify, please let me know.

I like the idea of having feature voting. I was thinking of finding something similar to User Voice for it, but I've not really had the time yet.

You always get the latest version of the software for free. A customer who payed for Awesome Miner 1.0 more than 3 years ago can run the latest Awesome Miner 4.3.1 with the same license with no additional license/upgrade cost.

Awesome miner not dual mining sia after changing settings.

I initially an amd profit switching profile only mining eth using miningpoolhub. I then changed it to dual mine eth+sia and added -dcri 1 to cli in amd profile. For some reason when I start the miner it refuses to dual mine say, but when benchmarking it dual mines perfectly. I've tried restarting multiple times and also tried deleting the claymore folder so it repopulates but no luck.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

I've attached screenshots showing this.

If you right click on the miner and select View Details you will find the profit calculations. What does this one show on the Profit Switching tab?

Hello Patrike,
I would have a suggestion regarding profit switching and online services.  Whatever i set in switching interval time, would it be possible that awesome miner update online services stats at a frequency of %timeset% minus 30 seconds ?
For example if i set a switching time of 5 minutes, i want stats to be updated after 4mn and 30 seconds. When AM switch algorithm after 5mn of mining, the "update stat time stopwatch" of 4mn 30sec should start again...
This way we would be sure it will pick the most profitable algorithm at the switching time specified !

This is my third time asking for assistance, any help is appreciated...

When I run a benchmark, none of my results are saved.  It used to save the results about 3 or 4 versions ago normally, but now it doesn't.  I have ensured that I have the proper profile selected and benchmarks checked, and I click "Save to Profile" and the "Configured Hardware" column updates with the values that were received during the benchmark....but when I close the benchmark and examine the profile in the options dialogue none of the benchmark results were actually saved.

I can run the benchmark, record the results manually, and edit the values in the profile under the options dialogue, so I'm not entirely sure why my results aren't saving.  I can provide logs, but I don't really see any errors - but I also don't know what I'm looking for.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software, and this is occurring on two systems now and I'm entirely unsure why.

Also - I threw this in initially a while back, but I don't think anyone saw it (or maybe no one cared? does anyone else think this would be useful?), but I would really like a "sustained" benchmark option so that I can selectively run an algorithm until I decide to stop it.  I want to be able to get up and check my watt meter during the benchmark, but I don't really have a way to look at both at the same time - especially if i'm doing a remote benchmark on a headless unit.  It would also be nice if I could edit wattage values in the benchmark section.
I've identified a problem with Benchmark save. I will release version 4.3.1 soon with a correction for this.

I've been away for a minute and I'm sorry I wasn't able to assist in answering too many questions even though I was practically begging for help (irl emergency, etc.), but I want to chime in and say thank you for fixing this.  It seems to be working great now!

Hi, does anybody have good ideas for matching miner IPs and miner names?  Huh

Sometimes, my router resets the IPs of miners when I restart the router. Once it happens, it courses a problem that names of each machines on Awsome miner and IPs for each machine don't match.  It is really time consuming to re-match the names of each machines and IPs.  There should be better way than re-matching manually, but I am not smart enough to figure out.

Give your rigs static ips.  Or else configure the router to give them the same ip every time.

Is there ways to set static IP to Antminer?

My preferred method for setting static IPs is always through my router instead of directly on devices. It can prevent weird issues with DHCP if you do it at the router level instead of trying to set static IPs directly on devices in a DHCP enabled network.

There should be or was when I owned a few S5, the UI looks about the same look under network on antminer in the gui ... I don't own any now but from what I've seen there UI hasn't changed much sense the S5 days or lay out ...just the mining soft ware on there built in PI.

I just learned some thing new I knew you could a sign static IP at the router level but never thought it was better that way. do you use the Mac address, I may give it a shot ...

Yep, and a lot of newer routers can also provide the device name/ host name along with the MAC so you can easily differentiate without hunting the MACs down.

Patrike,

A question... when we upgrade the Awesome Miner application, we can use the GUI to update the remote agent.  Where is this agent located?  Are the agents pulling the updates from the web?  Or is there an MSI on the computer running AM that is buried somewhere?

The reason I ask, is that if I were to bring a new rig online, I'd like a convenient place to grab the current remote agent that matches the version of AM I'm running.  I don't always update to the latest version of AM, and while it's never been a problem using a newer version of the remote agent with an older version of AM... you never know.

Hi guys

Anyone else getting this on 4.3.1 remote agent?

Yes, I did. So I sent it to Microsoft two days ago, where they manually analyze the file and determine if it's a threat or not. The result was of course that it was a false positive and not a threat. Here is the report:
http://www.awesomeminer.com/img/link/defender1.png

Hopefully the updated definition files for Windows Defender will correct this problem.

What is a it strange is that this is just a helper library used by Awesome Miner, but it's not at all related to mining which often is the main trigger for security software.

Right now the Upgrade Remote Agent button in the toolbar will tell the Remote Agent application to download and install the latest software version from the web site. Your point here is good, because if you don't want to use the very latest version, it may not work.

The only tested and officially supported installation is to run the same version of Awesome Miner and Remote Agent.

I will have to think of an improved concept here.
