Is there anyway to see which/how many miner(s) mined which coin for how long in the last say 24h? Sometimes it swiches a few times between coins during a day and I was wondering if I could see the stats and profitability of what it mined.

If you right-click the profit miner and select view details, you can see timestamps related to the switching interval, and the most profitable coins at that time.

The true profitability comes from your pool.  AM can only estimate based upon your hashrate, the difficulty of the coin, and exchange rate at that time.

I do see what you’re saying though, I bet both nanopool & zpool have API’s that allow it to read the profitability and since Yiimp doesn’t it can’t. And since AM doesn’t have any specific coins listed for the X17 algo it can’t assign any kind of profitability to it using the generic x17 coin option?

Any kind of workaround for that if that’s the case?

You can do a brute force method.  Make individual pools for all the coins from yiimp, specifying the coin for each pool.  If AM doesn't have the coin built in, then you'll have to manually add them.  Then put all those pools in a pool group and use the profit miner to mine the custom pool group.

It's a bit of work, but it would work.  I did it for all the Suprnova pools so I could profit switch between all the coins they offer.

How is mining speed and profitability vs other Genoil, CCminer, BFGminer, CGminer...  hidden fee?  or lover profitability or side mining...?  Huh

No hidden fees.  It's only if you use a mining program that has fees, and of course your pool's fee.

I installed the latest version (4.3.1) and Windows is coming about Trojan:Win32/Azden.A!cl in file: C:\Program Files (x86)\Awesome Miner\PE.Infrastructure.dll.

Any thoughts?

It's a false positive.  It has already been reported a couple of pages back.

Is there anything I have to enable on an Avalon 741 to get Awesome Miner to access it to monitor it like the Bitmain units? I can get all my Antminers to work, but this Avalon 741 I am not having much luck.

Thanks!

What mining software does the Avalon 741 use?  Have you looked at this page for some clues?  http://awesomeminer.com/help/minerapi.aspx

I had looked at that, but I just checked it again and that helped. I got it working thanks!

Awesome! This could be great idea of having a powerful miner.

Do most people use 24 hour profitability under statistics or current profitability for deciding when to switch?

Do most people use 24 hour profitability under statistics or current profitability for deciding when to switch?

It's totally up to you to decide, it really depends on your own mining strategy.  Some people will say you should mine the current hottest coin, as you stand to gain the most if you can get it exchanged fast enough.  If you have a very large amount of hashrate, then this may work.  But if you think about it... it's probably not going to work.

Let's say you switch to mine a coin that has a 2 minute block time on say Zpool.  You mine your share, and you get a percentage of the reward for that block.  But now, you have to wait for say 10 confirmations to mature before it's sent to the exchange.  That's now 20 minutes you are waiting for the coin to mature before it gets sent to the exchange.  Now, let's say it's a mildly popular coin, and it's gets sent to the exchange... minimum 2 minutes of that coin's block time if Zpool has enough of that coin built up to make it worth their while to send to the exchange.  We are up to 22 minutes.  That transaction is going to take another 10 confirmations before the exchange makes it available to trade.  We are now up to 42 minutes.

What are the chances that your coin is worth the same amount when you started mining it until it reaches the point where it can be traded on the exchange 42 minutes later?  Not very likely.  There are thousands and thousands of miners that use auto-switching algorithms and were mining the same coin you thought was hot in that moment.  That shoots up the difficulty, and the massive dump on the exchange(s) sends the value of the coin down.

A 24 hour profitability evens out those nuances, and I would even argue that a longer period is necessary.  You want to be mining a coin that is consistently in the top spot... not in the moment.

But, this is my opinion... there are other perspectives.

Is there a way to set the initial difficulty in managed profit miner? Some pools accept this value in the password but there is no password entry in managed profit miner.

You know I rather like this product so far, but one thing that bothers me is that as a pay product, I would expect that the algorithms would be fairly up to date.  Someone shouldn't be buying the product and then having to go through multiple pools and adding in algorithms in 3 different places.  I also think there should be a database built into the product to specify the card or cards you are using so you don't have to go to each algorithm and put in a power figure.

Finally and maybe I just can't figure it out, but why does the dashboard not show profit after power costs like the miner screen does? and it would also be nice if it could calculate how much you might make per day between the different algorithms it has mined instead of just showing whatever is currently being mined.

Just my suggestions.

Thanks

Can someone specify how to add mining software for awesome miner to use?  I downloaded version of ccminer that uses Xevan,  I put in appdata/local/awesomeminer and I added a user defined managed software, but nowhere can I find where you specify the path to the software so it knows to use it.

I agree with the above suggestion. Perhaps to enhance the dashboard with more pertinent information.

- include 30 minute / 1 hour running hash rate average in both the dashboard and miners view (place it below the 5 second average). Could also have it as an option that users can choose a selected interval
- option to save algorithm hash rate every X minutes based on a current running average. With 10+ miners it gets busy trying to save average hash rates manually.

List miners view

--option to add the pool name directly under the miner name/local (as someone who mines multiple pools it is the only reason I select the miner pool tab)
--option to add windows uptime directly under the status where the algorithm uptime is displayed (only reason I select the miner summary tab)

Yiimp pools
any way to automatically pull in each fee per algorithm for profit switching

Naming workers: How can identify separate miners in Yiimp dashboards that use the same bitcoin address for a worker name? I assume I have to adjust the stratum configuration so it would display the text under the extra column in the worker dashboard yiimp uses.

Keep up the good work. After 1.5 weeks of using the program, I paid for the professional version.

Edit profit profile, scroll down and you should see the new miner. Click configure, add the path. You also have to place the miner up in priority using the arrows above any other miner that has that same algorithm enabled.

Is there a way to add a custom .bat for a miner?

I'm using profit switching via miningpoolhub and using claymore for eth.

My original start.bat file will be something like this

(custom program).exe EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool (pool address) -ewal (wallet address) -epsw x

I would like to know how would I implement the (custom program).exe in awesome miner?
When I add (custom program).exe to cli option it just says it doesn't recognise the command. The (custom program).exe file is in the claymore folder so when I start claymore using the usual start.bat file it starts the (custom program).exe file along with EthDcrMiner64.exe

Thanks

Yes, go to the Command Line tab in your managed miner settings and there is a section to run a batch file before starting the miner.

You could try to add the -p d=64 or whatever difficulty parameter you wanted in the Command Line tab of your managed Profit Miner settings.

I"m sorry, but that isn't helping,  I have ccminer for Xevan and I just want it to work with managed profit switching.

I see.  You need to setup ccminer for Xevan on the Managed Software tab in the Options.  There is a section for User Managed software.  Then you need to disable the Xevan algo for any of the built-in ccminers above, and make sure that Xevan is only enabled for your user managed version of ccminer.

Today is 1/4/2018, I got a problem since 1/3/2018.
The problem is, AM was mining Blake2s, which gives about 1.2USD per GTX 1060, but with another algo, like Skein, it gives about 4~5USD per card. But AM didn't switch from Blake2s into better algos, is that a thing or maybe what reason is it?
I can switch manually by turning off the algo Blake2s, but I can't do it manually forever, because I would not know which is the best algo to mine at a time.
Please fix that.

I'm assuming you are using a profit miner and not a regular managed miner?  You haven't disabled Skein as an algo in the options?  Did you benchmark your cards so that AM has some numbers to work with to make the decision to switch between Blake2s and other algos?
