Patrike,

I sent you a PM on the Avalon 8 ASIC miner.  In this release you are working on, if you don't have enough information to enable the stuff in my PM can you please add an ASIC type AV8 enabled the same as the AV7 so that at least it shows correctly in the ASIC listing?

I got it i didn't add "stratum+ssl://" i just added "ssl://" like you can with claymore miners after I looked at the Bminer read me, sorry for the user error report .. as for the dstm miner, I don't really care, i don't use it any more or stopped using it a while back, i have moral issue with the Dev...

Thanks for the Answer  back ...

ok this should be an easy one...

the delay settings under options tab/advanced    for the ones dealing with time.. do the settings represent minutes or seconds

ie... delay autostart of miners after reboot   60      so 1 hour or 60s

and are they the same for each delay setting (time delay ones) which would be 3 of the 4 settings there

BMiner seems to be misreporting the worker name, if that's where it comes from.  This is particular to MPH so far.  It seems that when I switch to Excavator, the worker name appears correctly in the Pools tab.

Did you download Visual C++ 2013 & 2015?  I remember having to install those before the ccminer had to work.

Is it currently possible to add any sort of profit weighting to pools to account for fees, or is that already done, and if not can I suggest it.

I will use scrypt and a couple of pools to explain what I mean.

litecoinpool.org : this is a pps pool that pays 102% : Profit value 102
ahashpool.com : current fees are 1% : Profit Value 99
zpool : current fees 1.25% + 5% : Profit Value 93.75
Nicehash : current fees 3-4% : Profit Value 96.5

This would allow the profit switcher to take into account the actual returns before deciding if/when to switch

So for example litecoinpool is paying 0.002050 and I have it set to only change on a 5% difference, the current profit switcher may see zpool at 0.002173 which is 6% more, but the reality is that's a losing pool switch.

TIA

I am going in and modifying my install based off your question and the following answer. I see zpool lists fees from 1.25-2, where is the 5% coming from?

edit - is the 5% the transfer fee?

any know the fees for hashrefinery and MPH? I believe its 1.25% and 1.10% (.9 for the fee and .2 for the auto-exchange)

For yiimp based pools, exchange and mining fees are already factored into the rates provided by the API.

Exchange fee is deducted from the exchange price here:

https://github.com/tpruvot/yiimp/blob/e569b5774903b6eaaeb36ac28b0a4d3b1716b794/web/yaamp/core/backend/markets.php#L71

Pool feel is deducted when the API calculates prices here:

https://github.com/tpruvot/yiimp/blob/e569b5774903b6eaaeb36ac28b0a4d3b1716b794/web/yaamp/modules/api/ApiController.php#L50

Obviously this only applies to yiimp pools. I don't know the behaviour of other pool software.

Yiimp pools have the following fees defined and not all of them are reducing the profitability from statistics.

It is mandatory for all pool users to benchmark pools with 2 identical rigs with 2 different payment addresses and disable the pools that have misleading statistics and that have high fees.

What are the values for the constants below for your pool ?
define('"'"'YAAMP_FEES_MINING'"'"', 0.5);
define('"'"'YAAMP_FEES_EXCHANGE'"'"', 2);
define('"'"'YAAMP_FEES_RENTING'"'"', 2);
define('"'"'YAAMP_TXFEE_RENTING_WD'"'"', 0.002);

Will be good that everybody sees all the fees, because some pools have 10% exchange fee and others have also renting fee with high values, besides mininf fee. So, for some pools you have fees of 20% - 30% without any information.

It is a must that everyone will benchmark and disable pools with the lowest real income in BTC because it will increase your income a lot,  it is your money after all, if you want to maximize your profit.

So I installed Awesome Miner yesterday and spent some time with it.

I was able to setup a miner with my GPUs on a rig, for profit switching.

However, I ran into issues with the CPU miner, which uses XMR-STAK-WIN64.

First, can two separate miners be setup to profit switch on different pools & algos?

Second, I couldn't get a full configure for XMR-STAK-WIN64, only API level, so does that mean it's not possible to use in the profit switching mode?
(configuring that one was way more difficult than CCMiner, btw)

I will say that I wish Awesome Miner had a more thorough setup wizard.

I have problem with cryptonight benchmark:

benchmark working but total all the time is 0.
According to your ccminer console window, the total hashrate is printed as 0, while each GPU still produces a hashrate. This 0 is probably what is reported to Awesome Miner as well.

I cannot reproduce this issue myself, as the total hashrate from ccminer is correct in my setup. Is this a problem only while running benchmark, or is the total hashrate 0 when running ccminer on standard mining as well?

BMiner seems to be misreporting the worker name, if that's where it comes from.  This is particular to MPH so far.  It seems that when I switch to Excavator, the worker name appears correctly in the Pools tab.
The Bminer API interface only reports pool URL but no worker information. Awesome Miner is then trying to be smart and guess the correct worker name based on the command line you passed. However, for this miner Awesome Miner wasn't doing it correctly, resulting in an incorrect display of worker name. This is a display issue only and doesn't affect the mining - as you probably already verified via the command line used to start Bminer.

I will correct this in the next release. Thanks for reporting it.

1) Yes, you can create multiple profit profiles via the Options dialog, Profit profile section. Each profile can have its own set of pools and algorithms. For more information:
http://www.awesomeminer.com/help/profitswitching.aspx#configure

2) XMR-Stak is a bit difficult to setup, which is why it never ended up as a fully supported Managed Miner. These days Awesome Miner supports XMRig as well, which can do CPU mining as well, and that might be a better option.

Hello Patrike,
I too encounter this error on cryptonight benchmark. I think you can reproduce it on a rig with at least 2 GPU and select the option "all combined". On a single card test there's no problem.

After the last update the Myriad-Groestl Algo in the Pool Setup has gone leaving me without any profit information on the Coins that are on Myriad-Groestl (XVG and DGB).

I tried to add these coins manually, but other than just showing up WITHOUT any real time information nothing happened.
Tried to add the .json files for these coins from whattomine to, still no other information than the coin name.

It worked perfecly since i updated today, damn!!

Why was the myriad-groestl algo from the manually pool setup removed and how to fix that now?
