I've tossed a good portion of my stake so far in the jar, 10,000 HYP:

All my blocks minted last night and paid me an extra 7HYP, so it must pay a little more than 18.49% .  I'm well impressed! Thank you all HYP tech guys!

Yep, the network will take the annual percentage rate (750%) and then divide it by the amount of days down to the second, so 18.49% is for a very specific point of time and just really for reference purposes.

Community Update

Hi guys! Several of you have already donated to our new staking bounty address....thank you! Your donations keep
the wheels turning so that Hyperstake can move forward with new developments. And the more you give, the more David has
promised to donate. Take all his coins! He deserves it!
pAvP3gYfuyDVbUt98ToMbwU9rwEdBV1dHW

We've had a healthy bit of trading on the exchanges and some solid price stability. There is a whole wall of BUYS on coin swap
so people are merrily accumulating. Don't sell yourself short guys, we're only just getting started Wink
https://coin-swap.net/market/HYP/BTC
https://www.allcoin.com/trade/HYP_BTC

Remember we have an active bounty right now. Presstab and David are eager to update
the wallet now that a solid logo has been chosen and we need your help. Anyone who wants to step up and redesign the
icons that we have currently is welcome to check our shiny new bounty thread for all the details:

15000 HYP is up for grabs, with smaller prizes for other contributors. But move fast because this contest ends on Monday.

The irc is always open and it's usually raining HYP! Drew's tipbot is back in action so join us on freenode at ##hyperstake

seen a few silly sell orders placed well below market value in what appears to be an attempt to devalue. A worthless attempt if we can all not sell short and are willing to buy at least in the 800-1000 sats range

We haven't yet had any entries for our icon design contest, remember there are 15000 HYP  Shocked on the table plus
smaller denominations for second and third place. This is your chance to get involved and support your coin
guys, time to step up! Check out the bounty thread and show off your skills.

Great price stability over the course of this week. The smaller exchanges have been really great with helping
HYP to grow, show them some love.

That's it from me for the weekend but I'd like to get some discussions going as to what the community would like
to see added to Hyperstake over the coming months. We want to be more than just a buzzword coin, but as
end users what are you interested in seeing? Speak up! If you don't ask, you don't get  Wink

Thanks for the update Foxy!

An update from me:  I have been in the mountains the last couple days without much cell service so that is why I haven't posted much. I was able to do some thinking about HyperStake though. I think it will be best if we hold off on the inflation control hard fork for now and then have a hard fork a month or two from now that will get a few things accomplished. I am thinking about doing a few things such as changing how stake weight is calculated. I am thinking that giving a minimum stake weight value when your coins mature (something like 100) would be beneficial for those with just a few coins, without changing the incentives too much. Also a maximum stake weight so that the network will have a safe guard against abuse. I would still like to change the block time so that inflation will be a bit more regulated as well.

Until the hard fork I will continue to add improvements to the wallet.  I will probably be adding stakeforcharity from HBN and unlockformint in the next day.

Concerning prices... the market will decide where the coin is best priced. Is the current price undervalued or overvalued?  For me it is impossible to know what the market thinks, but I do know that I have certain prices I consider a bargain.

Great update. I think its a good idea to give incentives to people with few coins. I like the proposed changes to staking.

Dev is dead!

I'm kidding. Welcome back, mountain man. I would like to see the little guy taken care of as well, everybody started somewhere with not many coins and not everybody is a 'whale'. I'm on board for getting some improvements done then worrying about the chaos that comes with hard forks.

No ongoing pledge from me, as my stash is pretty small. But I'll put a 100 HYP to it as soon as I have that much in stake.
That's the idea. Only give to bounty your stake, not your principal.

Until the hard fork I will continue to add improvements to the wallet.  I will probably be adding stakeforcharity from HBN and unlockformint in the next day.
What is unlockformint? Regarding stakeforcharity, I propose stake goes to a second bounty address devoted to this (and now multiwallet would come in handy).

I updated the list of donators: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=678849.msg7701263#msg7701263

I started populating the wiki https://github.com/presstab/HyperStake/wiki/Hyperstake-wiki. Please join and make it bigger!
