Ok, I've been jumping into the coding last few days and here's what i'm working on first:  I'm adding Poloniex-cryptsy arbitrage that uses real time PUSH api to compare the 2 exchanges.  Since Poloniex and Cryptsy have Push api.. its the best way to do it... no timed checks.. real time action immediately when opportunities happen.. adding C-cex exchange to Quatloo-trader is also in the works..that takes time.  I'll chime in more frequently.

Question, will you be pulling out of Poloniex due to their new action now requiring id for everyone?

They aren't requiring ID for "everyone". Its level based just like most other KYC/AML policies. Each level of verification lets you withdraw up to a certain amount in a set timeframe. The first level is your name and location and lets you withdraw 2k/day usd equivalent. Second level is your address and a phone #, that gives you 7k/day. While I would prefer they not have that info, it doesn't hurt for them to have it. I will only be going up to level 3 if/when I need to move 25k/day in funds and/or they provide some market maker benefits.

bittrex-richie told me on IRC that 'trex are going fiat so they'll be asking for ID info eventually.

Awesome news. Any chance we will see cex.io as an arb option? You already have a tab in place for HFT. If its easier, could we get cex before c-cex seeing as the groundwork is already there. I would also love to see an option to arb the LTC based markets on the exchanges that have it, this would provide another untapped source of income.

Hold up. First we are talking about polo forcing id and now bittrex is as well? Its doubtful they will force id. Crypsty, polo, and every other xchange I have dealt with has a tiered verification system for a reason. They only require ID as part of KYC/AML if you want to deal in fiat, if you stick with crypto its not needed.

Polo is asking for name and country right now, not any ID documents (for < $2000 USD of withdrawals per day).

Anyway, here's what Bittrex said in IRC a few hours ago:

<bittrex-richie> and mogreen... we will do AML/KYC eventually as well.. its a precursor to fiat

Been using this bot for a while and really like it but had a problem in last few days

When I place the button to set orders in whale tasks it just clicks and no action takes place. Anyone else had the same problem?

Ive deleted and reinstalled with no joy, any help would be much appreciated

Thanks Smiley

Actually, see my other post. You can get verified for 7k/day with address and phone #, no ID docs needed.
If you look at the way other exchanges have handled it, cryptsy, atlasats, etc, you will see that they are using tiered verification for a reason. One of those reasons being to cover basic KYC/AML and let people deal in crypto only if they wish to stay somewhat anonymous. True anonymity requires a bit of work and is harder than it looks to make sure its airtight.

I will have to seriously hunt for the info on the statements made by FINCEN/CFTC/SEC/etc on the way they are viewing crypto, but suffice it say, they all agree that its a commodity and your free to barter with commodities without them looking over your shoulder.

Seems like they view it like fiat. IMO it's just a matter of time before IDs will be required to even trade in crypto.

That ruling is 2 years old. I am looking for the ones that were released summer/fall 2014.

Here is a more recent one dealing with businesses that deal in bitcoin. Warning, it is a pdf
http://www.fincen.gov/news_room/rp/rulings/pdf/FIN-2014-R012.pdf

2 more pdfs from fincen. I can't find any rulings from cftc that isn't an article on a shitty website.
http://www.fincen.gov/news_room/rp/rulings/pdf/FIN-2014-R012.pdf
http://www.fincen.gov/news_room/rp/rulings/pdf/FIN-2014-R011.pdf

I give up for now. From what I have read over the past year, crypto is acknowledged as a commodity. The individual need not register as a msb to use or mine crypto, it is the exchanges and other businesses that use it for business purposes that may need to register.

Hey, this question has been raised many times in the past, but it's still unsolved for me...

Here it is: the market list for cryptsy cannot be loaded.

I've tried with my usual account, a newly created one, and on several windows versions (32 bits and 64 bits). None of my attempts are successful and I'm sure that I use the correct keys. How come that it works for some users and not for others? Is there any chance for it to be fixed some day?

Thanks.

This is a known issue. Hopefully the next release will have an alternative for qtl balance verification.
What I have discovered personally is that if you can set a static ip for the system your running the bot on, that will help prevent this issue. I am running the bot on a vps that automatically sets a static ip on install and haven't had this issue at all.

If  you lose internet connection for more than a minute or so it does that. Just close and restart it.
That being said, there are bugs and we are waiting for Markus to fix arb and release new version.
