So they were as helpful as ever. Color me surprised. Maybe we do need markus to make a small update to the bot and get us one that rotates through the api hosts or calls to an external service to get a good one.

If you are in a hurry and don't want to wait until cryptsy makes the 502 error go away you could try to trick your software to use pubapi2 with an entry in your hosts file.
Basically just add an entry for pubapi.cryptsy.com with the IP of pubapi2.cryptsy.com to your hosts file and your software shoud access the latter.
While it should, I have no idea if it does actually work, but if you are impatient it might be worth a try.

Unless I did something wrong, I already tried it. Look at my previous post. I can ping pubapi and get the pubapi2 ip, but the bot still wont work.
I even went as far as pulling up the perf monitor in win 10 and looking at the ips that are accessed when the bot does its thing, I am thinking that either the ip for cryptsy is hardcoded, or if he did use pubapiX, then cryptsy isn't loadbalancing correctly or at all.

Considering it was working just fine up till a few days ago. I doubt this is solely a bot issue. Cryptsy needs to get off their collective ass and fix their api.
I do agree that there is likely something markus can do with the code that will help work around and prevent these issues, but until we can get an update from him, we need to stay on top of cryptsy and try to force them to do what needs done.

Good to hear. I do have "faith" that he will get the bigger updates out when he can. This however is something that does need some attention.
Maybe he could add an "expert" option that would let us manually change the hosts for the apis? This way in the future if any of the exchanges does something wonky, I am looking at you cryptsy and bittrex, we have some ability to work around it on our own.

Thank you for your response. pubapi is the load balancer. Depending on the traffic it will either reroute you to pubapi1 or pubapi2. Since pubapi1 is down it will load balance you to pubapi2 as it has the least traffic. We are working on restoring pubapi1. We are sorry for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

They aren't putting many resources to work on it then, its been down for almost a week. With the bot its been funky, for some reason I and others can access balances, history, make withdrawals, etc. What we can't access is the order books, this is likely the reason for the failing to arb.

Hello, I just got this bot, and I am interested in using it through a server, like the one on amazon.  But I have zeero knowledge on this, is there a guide for noobs somewhere on how to set this up, or do I just drop the files, click the exe, and away it goes?

Look like a nice bot, but I hope that the dev picks up the slack soon, it is looking like abandonware at this point.  Plus I think the price of qtl is suffering from this.

This is a good idea. Good software is all about configuration and customisation for the user. The Quatloo trading software could have a standard value for the address built in and optionally the user can choose to manually update the connection address. For connection changes this would make Quatloo future proof.

So I was thinking of a solution to the problem of disconnects, mostly because I have this problem sometimes.  What if a wallet was bundled with the QTL trader?  You could store your coins directly in there, in stead of on an exchange.  Then it would not have to check the exchange for holdings?

This has crossed my mind as well. It might be easier to just have it check the balance of an address for enough coins. If it checked the balance every 24 hours or so, we wouldn't see this issue and the most someone could get out of the bot would be the 24 hours after it last checked, if they decided to move the coins.
I would also be up for a paid version with not limits or restrictions. I run an arbitrage backed asset and the timing out of the qtl balance really puts a cramp in my profits.

Yes I think so, because when he is gone for so long everyone thinks that the development is gone, and the price of the coin suffers.  I don't expect to get rich from QTL coins, but it would be nice if I didn't get wiped out too.

An update tomorrow, that is exciting.  It will be the first one in a while, I think this will be good for the QTL.
