I am not a programmer so I am not in a place to debate or discuss this on any deep level, what I do know is what I see and experience. From what I can tell, none of my nonce errors have been off by the 1000x that merlin is seeing. What does this tell me? That while the issue is certainly in the bot to some degree, some other factor is affecting it as well. I don't know if its something that markus can fix or code a workaround for, maybe its possible to get it to keep sending the same call until it stops getting a nonce error, but I have no idea what effect this would have on the HFT or arb. As I have said, I am getting repeated nonce errors, but the bot is working for me. I am not HFTing, I am arbing as my only source of profit from the bot.

How are the arb working? Do it sends coins between exchanges or it keeps coins on the arbing exchanges?

Thanks Markus for keeping the Quatloo trading software up-to-date!

I think Quatloo is a great coin that is currently undervalued and has a lot of potential.

The Quatloo development might be less of an Hercules task if you could team up with another developer colleague or someone that you can trust.

For example, it would be cool to have an Android app that provides real time statistics on the trades, maybe also a portfolio overview, performance figures, alerts when certain thresholds are met, etc. The idea is that this Android app is more of an information tool, providing essential figures. Maybe there would be even a way to sync it with the Quatloo trading software.

Wishful thinking at the moment, I know the priority now is to improve the current version, but if you team up with another developer this would definitely support Quatloo.

It buys x # of coins on 1 exchange and sells a corresponding amount on another. You do have to make sure you keep enough funds in both btc and the coins you want to arb in all exchanges or you will miss out on plenty of opportunities. He is supposed to be working on an option for the bot to move funds around as needed, for now its a manual process.

I have not yet tested any of the other exchanges but I get several errors in the log from bittrex but the bot seams to be working properly anyway.

Edit: Sending my question again .

Im trying this software. I have just started with it.

I have some questions.

1.   In Advanced bidplacing : How to stop bot from making many buy orders? Selling stops because there is not enough Alt coins. But buying stops when bitcoins is 0.
To use "stop tasks if BTC balance falls below ... is not good because I can be selling another coin and my BTC balance will never go under that level. Coin balance cant be used because there is no balance of alts if not any buyings yet have happend or coins are in the sell.

2.   And what is the difference between scalp mode and normal mode?

Classic ping pong is funny it just buys from the sell and then sell to the bids. Just a loss. Should have been buying from sell and sell higher.

Cryptsy Api dont work for me. But I will try again.

Scalp mode cancels orders, so use that.  Classic: don't use it.  I think it is for making extra volume?  Or.. IDK wtf it is for actually.  For #1, please correct me if I am srong, but I don't think the program will do this.  However it would be AWESOME  if you could tell the bot to use, say, .2 btc for one pingpong, and .1 for another, and .3 for a third, etc, so that you wouldn't have to worry about this.  Also now that I think of it, it would be great if we could do multiple pingpong using just one instance of the program.  And finally since I am on a roll, I would have a joygasm if you included a tracking feature that counted everything for taxes, like transaction fees, gains/losses, etc, for all of the included exchanges on one page.  Ok, thanks Dev for the awesome program.

Thank you for your answere. Hmm. That means that I need to make one account for every coin so I dont end up with to many buy orders in one coin.

Is there something you can do about the nonce issues with polo? My balance list on the arb screens is blank for polo about 50% of the time.

There is still something wrong with the cryptsy api. I was able to load the order books with 2.3.2.1 but only on my laptop and refreshing the order book took very long every time. On my computer where I run quatloo trader 24/7 I couldn't get it to work. I have downloaded version 2.3.2.2 and now I don't get any data from cryptsy api anymore no matter what version or computer I'm using.

I haven't dl'd the latest update, but cryptsy appears broken to me as well. They are likely having more api issues, per the usual.
We really need some kind of oversight body for these exchanges. Stock/Commodities exchanges worldwide would never be allowed the kind of issues that cryptsy, et al have ALL the time.
They are making way too much money off the fees to have so many issues with the api and coins being in "maintenance" mode, etc.

Lol, vote with your money.  Regulation has not gone well around the world lately!

Cryptsy is not my favorite.  I have not even developed any routines for them yet because they are the biggest pain in the ass of all the exchanges so far.

People might step back and realize that the software that QTL is exposes strengths and weaknesses of the exchanges as it grows.  That is a another good thing as far as I am concerned.  These exchanges need to stay on top of things, or the door opens for someone who wants to do it right.

Keep up the good work, Markus!

Regulation needs to and will happen eventually. Crypto is seen as a commodity, commodities exchanges are already regulated by the cftc. We likely do have a few years if not longer before those in charge of those regs can fully grasp what crypto is and how best to regulate it. I am not talking about regulations/laws/etc on how we use crypto p2p, I am talking about regs/laws that oversee uptime/availability, etc for the exchanges where its traded. Hopefully companies like NYSE will stepup and realize that running a crypto exchange means a ton of profits for them, they already run some of the worlds largest exchanges for stocks/commodities/etc.

We shall see.

Personally, I think Crypto will move beyond money, but what that really means, I don't think anyone knows yet.

Zen Smiley

But it is money, so what else would it become?  I don't think we will see the end of fiat in our life time.  However, just as paper fiat is now mostly electronic numbers (most people pay with plastic etc, not actual cash), I could see crypto slowly taking on this role too.  Especially as the world economy becomes more globalized: china and india are catcing up to america and europe, so there are more fiat players in the room now.
