been working pretty good lately. i'm looking forward to expanding my portfolio again and arbing multiple markets simultaneously.
is there a limit to how many markets QT can scan at the same time for Arb opportunities?

The trader is often buggy and unreliable. I have to restart it every few hours.. i get the balance error seen below, but it also regularly just stops placing orders without any errors whatsoever. I've tried so many things.. running as administrator, setting the orderbook to refresh etc. nothing helps.

Please advise

i would recommend buying more that the stated minimum amount of QTL.
Arb features were doing similar bugs until i bought more than required.
i use the "double coins" strategy.

Just bought more QTL. So, for the first time in history Wink, I got enough QTL to use all of the functions. Yiehah!

You more experienced users ... could you please give me a quickstart,
- reading or video- how to use them with the least risk & the highest possible gains
:-)

Thanks!

here's a video by Markus you may or may not have seen.
https://twitter.com/quatloocoin/status/545236343258120192
there are more videos by Fyrstikken on youtube

your question tho is complex, as to have the least risk is not profitable.
and the highest gains requires high risk.

i use 1% diff and 100% funds
here's a screenshot i posted on twitter a while back

I couldnt make arbitrage succesfully.

Im using v2.3.1.8, using arbitrage system with poloniex-bittrex and program sees sometimes some arbitrage for my selected pair with bigger than minimum range but does nothing. When Im online Im doing it myself but this is not what I want.

Does everyone get same use or is there any one successfully make arbitrages?

Is there any error log or something like that?

I have not started to try arbitrage,
but poloniex-quatlootrader stopped working a while ago,
so perhaps that also affects the poloniex-bittrex arbitrage?

Some new ideas for the wishlist:

  • common markets: "PriceDifference" is an absolute value right now - so sorting by that column does not make much sense.
Idea: divide "PriceDifference" by highest or lowest "{Bittrex,Cryptsy,Poloniex}Last" --> relativePriceDifference

  • common markets: "{Bittrex,Cryptsy,Poloniex}Volume" is in altcoin - so sorting by that column does not make much sense.
Idea: multiply volume with "{Bittrex,Cryptsy,Poloniex}Last"-price, to get a volume-in-BTC (BaseVolume), which is perfect for sorting in decreasing importance

  • "Balance Error: ... require at least 15,000 QTL ..." - but I do have!
Restart ... test again... send from poloniex to bittrex ... test again ...
    Hmmm:
    - what about showing my acknowledged QTL balance somewhere on the screen, as soon as the trader.exe has registered them.
(or in "settings" or "about" if you want to help to hide absolute wealth during e.g. screenshots)

  • cryptsy ... My history ... All Markets ... - does NOT work

  • {Bittrex,Cryptsy,Poloniex} ... My history ... ALTCOIN/BTC ...
    Idea: average prices & gains/losses -->
Add up all BUYs: divide totalBuyBTC by totalBuyNumAltcoins --> averageBUYprice
Add up all SELL: divide totalSellBTC by totalBuyNumAltcoins --> averageSELLprice
Show how much more/less BTC than originally input --> gains/losses in this coin, "break even price"
(will of course not be totally perfect as soon as deposit/withdrawal enter the game, but will definitely help to understand better my trades!)
Example: https://poloniex.com/tradeHistory#analysis/QTL/BTC is similar - but only on Plex.

  • Cryptsy ... Accounts ... Refresh ... --> the coins which are in OpenOrders(Sell) are missing completely from that Account-balances list.
(It is different for Bittrex = they give "balance, available, pending"; but perhaps by combining OpenOrders with AccountBalances, you can replicate that column for Cryptsy...)

  • Bittrex ... OpenOrders ... Type=BUY ... please introduce one more column:
    BaseCurrencyTotal = Bid_Ask * UnitsTotal
Because then I know how much BTC I have parked in hoping to buy some of that currency.
(very useful when e.g. I want to delete buy orders, in favour of another interesting currency.
I want to quickly see how much BTC will be freed when I delete a BUY order.)

  • Trader ... {Bittrex,Cryptsy,Poloniex} ... Market BTC-QTL ... {Buying,Selling} ...
Please introduce a "total BTC up to here" column ... up to each price row, and give a BTC-total of the order book up to that respective price
(=exacty like the last column in {bittrex.com,poloniex.com}orderbooks).
That will greatly improve the usability, because placing my order above a "volume step" is suddenly easy then.
You are do that summation already, when I click on a price row, but in altcoin currency (not in btc), and only when I click. Please introduce new columns.

  • Trader ... {Bittrex,Cryptsy,Poloniex} ... Market BTC-QTL ... {Buying,Selling} ... Buy Quantity 30000 QTL, Rate 0.00001200 BTC ...
Please immediately calculate the resulting BTC (0.36 BTC). At the moment I always have to press "Buy" to see the multiplication 0.36 BTC.

  • Export To Excel
    (a) "exports" an empty file right now
    (b) shouldn't that rather be an "export to CSV"? Or do you want to support a multipleTabs file? Why not look into the LibreOffice OpenStandard ".ods" instead of (proprietary) Microsoft Excel ".xls"

  • {Bittrex,Cryptsy,Poloniex} ... Market Summaries:
    Two more columns please:
(High-Low)/Low = relative range, very good sorting column to see the currently craziest markets (high volatility = high gains & risks)
(Ask-Bid)/Bid = relative spread, very good to identify certain markets

I ask for donations, as usual. Not that anyone ever listened ("Address not seen on the network.") - but I still ask for donations  Wink  (more ideas: See my past: "About 39 results").

And not from you, MarKus, but from everyone who likes my, and benefits from my ideas: Please donate a little bit. I am really poor, in a dire financial situation, and every bit will just make me dance-around-in-the-room-with-ecstatic-laughter :-) Thanks a million.

And most all all: Thank you so much, MarKus, for this amazing program. As soon as poloniexquatlootrader will work again, I am looking forward to continuing to use it. It is really really cool.

I didnt know the issue. Thanks for clarifying it. I liked the trader program. With the decrease of the QTL price , I got finally managed to make enough QTL to make arbitrage  but good luck! Anyway , I hope Markus goes back to developing Quatlo trader soon.

By the way, If I get a little more QTL I will try bittrex-cryptsy arbitrage , hopefully it works.

I am finding that this software no longer loads the order book as it should..  Is this being experienced by other users?

Is Markus still working on this project?

well. Polo is a little buggy, but Bittrex works flawless. I'm using the Multi-order tool to swing trade on this huge $CRAVE trend. 1000 orders at a time, saves me a lot of time  Cool btw do you work at Polo?

Its odd, I had the QTL bot working great on Polo in the past..  I can't get any version to load the order book now.  I just Pm'd Markus to see if he has any idea what is up.

Yes, I work at Poloniex.  I am the General Manager there Wink

My experience with the shown problem is that it only occurs when my internet connect gets interrupted. The program does not seem to be able to reconnect afterwards. Restarting the program will fix it.
