According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in
Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it
will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

$1100 is pretty pricey for 49 ports. I spent $360 getting enough ports for 61 miners and I've got plenty of ports to spare. But I guess your setup is a bit cleaner.

He said in another thread he got it used for pretty cheap.

4 Rigs (1 Wood . 1 aluminium, 2 cases) 1 Case is not on the pic. 3172 (244) 13x7790 1080 (360) 3x7850 --- 4.25 hashpower 600W 3x 7850 2x 7790 1x 1200W 400W 5x 7790 1x 650W 500W 6x 7790 2x 550W ---- 1400W No Powered Risers, Windows8, Ati 13.6 beta2, 2.8SDK, MSI Afterburner, Google Remote Desktop, HDMI x4 hub to connect to hdmi TV. Part of the fun/frustration was building (or trying to build) the wood/alu rigs. Lots of trips to hardware store and buying extra equipment. Gave up on error 43 (> 5 GPU on MB did not work for me).

Here's one of Cognitive's increasingly numerous rigs Today I received the final two of our four Avalons, and now they're all happily hashing away at a location with redundant power and internet And who doesn't like pictures!? Shiny new boxes: Protip: Before ever turning on an Avalon that has been through the mail: Always check for loose nuts! Driving to the Avalons' new home... And here they are, hashing away at a steady 320+ gh/s (One of them has an extra hash unit.) This puts our total hashrate at: 320 from the Avalons 60 from the SC Single 13 from the FPGAs = a total of 393gh/s mining for us right now And BFL still owes us 7 more SC singles, which equals an additional 420gh/s which we will receive very soon. Then after we receive our Avalon chips we will be hashing at well over 1th/s Cheers, Garrett

Actually, those are 5870s and 6870s I recognized the 5870s, which were my favorite for a while, but you couldn't beat the price of those 5830s. Those were like my first love when I started mining LOL!
