I'm giddy as a schoolboy. Just got all my USB Block Erupters set up and hashing. Just had to share this here.

I'm likely using the same hardware that you have. Can you (or have you in another thread?) let us know what software you are running these with? Are you on a windows machine?

judging by the picture its cgminer 3.1.1 (bitminter) and .bat would indicate windows

I have (12) asic erupters. I have Windows 8. Could you give me instructions on how to set up cgminer 3.1.1 with the asic eupters.  Thankyou.

I would suggest 50btc or bitminter....I think BTCGuild is throttling new member to keep below 51%  MinePeon is what I am using works out the gate no problems.
Here are a pic of my first asic running a blistering 335 mega hash. I will be a btc millionare in a few hundred years. I am still running a gpu as well for a total of 930Mh/s. I have ordered 5 more block erupters. I will prolly stop there. I am putting most of my BTC into mining shares.

Yeah, I wasn't necessarily meaning you should mine with BTCGuild, they just have really good instructions. I actually use abcpool.co for my mining.

I've currently got 2 x 7950 and 4 x USB Block Eruptors, which puts me at about 2.3 GH/s. Which puts me at about where I was at a month ago with just the 2 x 7950s...

OK, time to post a picture of my rig. It is the first time I have a dedicated rig running 24/7.

The mainboard is a Zotac D2550-ITX WiFi sporting an mSATA SSD. The rest you can probably see: that's an Anker 10-port powered USB-hub, with an Arctic Cooling USB fan, and of course 9 USB Block Eruptors. The whole package provides 3 GH/s and it runs on wifi at the moment.

My future plan is to build this into an outdoors-safe box and place it in my garden. I will also connect 4 BFL units (if and when they arrive).

Nice set up. I also have a Zotac mini. It bought a bare bone unit from Newegg. However I use it as an HTPC. I run XBMC and Plex Media Center on it. A Raspberry Pi is a much lower cost option, but your are limited to USB 2.0 hubs.

Thanks! Yeah, I know this wasn't the most cost-efficient option, but it's a one time cost. And this way I can stay as generic as possible - running Windows 7 means I have a familiar environment, and it should be pretty straightforward to expand the rig.

Yes, mine was just catching dust. I just got is as a toy, and something to get better at Linux. I have had it Pi ruinng as a Really slow desktop PC, a PXB with PBX in a Fash, a HTPC with XBMC and now MinePeon. MP is the best use so far.

I got this from Newegg. I chose it based on price and a 2A power supply. It seems to be working ok so far:

I'm using 4 Block Eruptors. The way the ports are situated on the 7 port hub, you can only put 2 in the front (where there are actually 3 ports) and probably none in the back (where there is 1), but you can put 3 on top. I'm only planning on using the 4, so it works fine for me.

However, I am finding I'm unable to keep Minepeon running for more than 24 hours at a time. I'm not sure where the problem is yet. I'm going to have to hook up a keyboard so I can see what's going on.

Make sure your power supply to the RPi is sufficient . When I first got mine I used an old cell phone charger and I had lost of strange issues. My best guess is tis power relate, either the hub itelf or the hub. Below is a link with verfied working hubs. The cheap ones might not have the juice to power many at the same time.

You could easily bung a PCI-e card on that an mine a few scrypt coins at the same time

Have you checked if you donate Mining Time in Minepeon? If so, Minepeon will never run more than 24 hours until rebooting the Miner to switch to the donation pool and then back to your pool

There actually is a great 49 Port USB 2.0 hub that works with the RPi, but unfortunatly that hub from Cambrionix costs a small fortune.

Be aware of always leaving like 0.5A headroom on a hub, so if you get a 5 Port hub with a 2.5A power supply only plug in 4 Block Erupter. On a 7 Port with a 3A power supply max 5 Sticks, with a 4A power supply you can use all 7 ports. This will help with stability and longer life of the hub.

But as RPi's are cheap, getting a second one should not be a problem.

AAAAND the two 1.2A ports only give 1.2A when the Hub is NOT connected to a running computer (for charging of phones etc)!! Did you bother to read the manual?!
I have two of those D-Link Hubs and I would not put more than 5 Sticks in each of it.
