Is anyone using Blago's miner with vista 64 / windows 7?
I have two pc's and have tried it on both, but if running on either one all the system ram 16GB gets eaten up and then it crashes, I can only get it to run for about 20-40 mins.
Any ideas?
I read somewhere that it could be due to drive caching, not directly the miner itself. Runarufu miner works well without ram issues, but wanted to compare performance.
You plotted with too big of a stagger size and it's eating it all when you mine. If you optimize the drives they wont eat memory. Doesn't a plot optimizer make the stagger size as large as possible? Is there a tool that doesn't do this? with CPU plotter and 16gb of ram you can plot with 50000 stagger... it is enough!!! and this, without plot and then optimize!!! 50000 stagger killed my RAM at 16 ... but network deadlines are so short now it does not matter someone is putting in Peta drives online at fairly consistent manner ... it does not pay off for an individual to invest in new drives thinking of buying few hundred dollars worth BURST actually right now, but missed it on Tuesday big time i'm using win 7 64bit with 16gb ram and 17 4770... no prob with CPU plotter and 50000 stagger size... could be I was using GPU plot miner.. I simply had to act fast that was 2 months ago. now it really does not matter it is like with VIA (no plug here) I mined VIA to a point and suddenly they merged mined with LTC and game over.. before that happened I bought great amount of that coin.. knowing kind of in advance this will happen (just by studying who is developing for that coin) same here, stagger size is becoming meaningless, I mean it still could get you block faster (maybe) but it will be less and less

I imagine designated drives to keep network secure, right now it is somewhat crazy for we all rush to accumulate but in the future one could imagine blocks of storage magnetic/optical securing the network , and people buying shares to these this is already is happening to a degree

win7 has a bad hd cache handling for burst.
i had the same issues. tried different solution with win7, non worked. upgrade to win8 and your problems are solved.
It can be done. It's highly stupid to try, you might get insane - but it is possible.

Is the blockchain somehow stuck? I saw that Urays pool had a deadline of 11mins, but the round didn't finish, it's 21mins now. Also my deadlines for this round are extremely high..
no. we are in 13 Peta overall network capacity range. peeking at 15 .. coin production halted for many unless > 300 tera drives completely normal behavior.. at the higher drive capacity (there is someone with > 1 Peta hardware doing this right now) people are engaging solo mining and take off blocks off the "market" so to speak. leaving you with 0 . sounds funny but it is the way it is one of my smaller nodes did'nt find a block during the last 3 days with 70tb. the wallet seems to work correctly cause the bigger nodes found blocks. this diff development is really amazing

A request after impressivereports sent to us about publicity. Last time a Russian firm called Bitcoin PR Buss, assisted us for free (!), despite that the packet we got costs $450 dollars; the reason being they are holders in BURST. Due to that they have been offered two new deals for BURST. First some of the result last time:

The second offer I can not comment on right now due to burstdev needs to make a decision, but money wise that offer is much larger than the below. If I understand them correctly, we are now getting 50% on the full-prize $450 (that is $225).
Therefore, the PR team are wondering if you would be willing to support a cost for additional PR on CF..? Recently we have discussed that it should be much more to make out of crowdfunding, since its huge in the world. It is, however, evident the company delivers what they promise (we also recevice four written reports); in addition, we also receive offers from their competitors which might prove valuable in the further. People using firms for PR gets popular.
As time is short (remember that the PR is already out), I suggest that we try a normal BTC/BURST donation instead of a CF; donated BTC is used buy BURST for the Russia's to be given them. What we would need is about 1btc or 575,000BURST togother .
BTC address: 12FVhJ78WqYs3NmQ53kye789HeeprCC1aL
BURST: BURST-M4R4-MAQ8-C8GK-CFHSQ
On a block-ex you can see what has been donated.
Burstdev will get has been given access to both accounts, for security reasons..
If you want write in the thread if you donate anything. But you need to email burst@countermail.com with the sum, tx and nick.
Would we not reach the goal of 1btc/750,000BURST, the funds will be returned to the donors. When we reach the goal, we'll stop.
It would be really, really good if we have reached the goal tonite!
I'll start off will 50K BURST. Whales, wake up!!
Thanks!

PetaByte has issued the second big portion of Assets. Currently are about 14 Assets (each equals to 1 TB) in the Sell Order column.
PetaByte offers mining profits of the acquired assets.
Goto your wallet, Asset Exchange add Asset 14668748687827404894 and bid for your shares.
PetaByte aims to reach one PetaByte harddisk by end of the year.

Don't worry, there is help on the way. One of my courses deals with getting better vision, which you can pay with bursts.

i'm not so expert.. nut i think more and more the network size/difficulty rise, and less the stagger is important...
but this is just what i'm feeling, i'm not the dev...
feeling is good, also take a look at the thread in some depth there are people in here that innovate (or helping from outside) like AT work, also, even if coin production drops to 100's it is imperative none of us stops mining.. it is easier with BURST because all one has to do is have external USB drives connected (not so easy with GPU/CPU coins as they "take over" systems) this is one of THE reasons I have entered this coin.. brb concerns of outsiders are that drive space is "filled" with useful data for mining but useless for anything else.. this keeps Supernet guys worried at night.. but I dont share this concern so much.. I imagine designated drives to keep network secure, right now it is somewhat crazy for we all rush to accumulate but in the future one could imagine blocks of storage magnetic/optical securing the network , and people buying shares to these this is already is happening to a degree i think we need to focus on this 2 point [red points above] first, can be fixed easily, if bitcoin price rise, so, miners gain it is secured... the second it ir hardest to fix.. and I have no idea how to fix it...

Why worry about hard-drive space being filled with mining related info? What's the difference between having a specialized piece of equipment (ASIC) running a 100k+ calculations every second and a hard drive storing this pre-calculated information? With BURST we do the mining work one time and store those results for later access. In every other POW case you have to constantly do the work over and over. BURST miners are maintaining a public record of transactions just like any other crypto-currency. Storj can be the decentralized cloud storage, BURST can be a financial tool to run crowd-funding campaigns, lotteries, purchase goods, and transfer money. Maybe when BURST matures Storj can use the BUSRT chain instead of the Bitcoin chain (Storjx payment token). That's just my opinion.

Guys i need a bit of help Burst OS & ARM SupportCurrently i'm developing an all-in-one GNU/Linux OS for Burst, it will have all the software needed to use the wallet and mining tools converted to GUI, open source, with own repository for install or update your wallet/mining tools easily and a documented wiki. Today was thinking to support ARM boards too (like Raspberry, Banana Pi/Pro, Cubietruck ...) but i dont have any ARM board to do some tests and developt it correctly. So this CF will be to help me to buy a Banana Pro (it cost like 50-60€, has SATA2 and a good read speed, 100MiB/seg, i think that cheap mini-pc can mine Burst with low energy usage). All the excess will be donated to the Burst PR team. You can help me and Burst OS developtment via CF AT. If you dont know about Burst Crownfunding AT, check HERE.Thank you all, Kartojal.
