I'm working on my marketing blurb now: “Dear investors you can maybe possibly get 5% ROI as long as you don't hold too many coins in the same wallet, or if you do make sure you move them back and forth between your wallets every five days or Magi will get very upset and not pay - particularly during the full moon phase, moon eclipses and Mercury Retrograde...”   Grin  FYI – moon eclipses tonight and in mercury retrograde maybe that explains all the FUD.

Lol. A bit of genius there wrapped up in humour. I like it. Work smart, not hard. Joking apart though DJM did have a point about messing around with the algo (and thus the wallet and the miner too). Personally I don't want to start compiling and testing/benchmarking a new miner, having only just got to grips with the present ones. Imho the algo should be left alone for a while yet, all things considered. Let it ride - it ain't broken. Instead the effort should be concentrated on delivering the earlier promises.

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

I agree.  I think it is best to let things settle a while longer.  Right now we have a safe effective block chain that we can build on.  Transactions are moving fine and there is much interest in the coin.  What could possibly go wrong?  Maybe the coin gets fantastically popular and we all need to go into hiding like Satoshi Nakamoto.  Smiley

Smart man... I like how we can all chip in some good ideas for marketing. I'll add into this discussion. Give me a bit, I'll add a post or two soon.

You can have your bot farms. I'm hashing away on my trusty

So NYAHH Grin

Love the humor! Nice picture of retro computer, I enjoy mine too, heck I can even get a half a hash a sec out of my Dell XPS T750 pentium III when I blow the dust off it.  Well, something got to hold down the block chain; there's a high level of security built into these crusty old pieces of hardware!  Grin

I joke around but I really appreciate the hard work that everyone has put in to promote and develop this coin.  There is really no easy answer here, if there were the global economic situation would be much better I'm sure.  I feel like a lot of these things can be worked out and this is a very fun opportunity to test out what can work; I will try to make better suggestions if I can think of good solutions.

I support Magi the first anti-botnet mining network to give regular miners the fair chance of mining. Talk to #Magi on IRC: https://kiwiirc.com/client/irc.freenode.net/#magi or on BitcoinTalk: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=735170.0

Where do i have to go to? Grin
The comments here indicate that the community is extremely strong.
It's nice to see. But it is also necessary.
The more positive attention XMG gets the more bothered by competitors. As every coin has had that problem.
Only the strongest will prevail.
XMG is one of them!!!
XMG is back on the right track! See coinmarketcapp.

wow someone just did a sneaky buy up to the 6's looks like not enough sellers below a certain mark...

Magi is building momentum. I don't see how it can be anywhere below 0.0001 after all, it does provide enough real time solutions in the industry that kicks the asses of early adopters benefits, and benefits go towards all in general, as more miners hear about magi, it impacts our ROI overall.

I am curious to see what happens at 1000-2000 workers...

in addition; the thread surpassed 100,000 views!!! Congrats!

The simple problem with gpu miners is, there is usually one for a few before everyone can use it plus the investment level is higher, you need the right brand, big enough card, they run hotter, use more power, make more problems.

Trying to run on CPUs only is nice...there will be farms either way.

And GPU mining, if the coin is not strong enough, can easily kill it (or close to that). Unfortunately I've seen that...

I'm bumping this post for awareness as we should collectively work on this to grow Magi.

Guys, Imagine if this coin really brings in the 2000 miners that can really help us earn more rewards as a community, hence, growing investor and speculator interest due to the growth? This is keen! I enjoy mining, but what I enjoy more, is being apart of a invaluable community like Magi. For the most part- this is a proactive thread and community, we just need to fine tune what our individual focuses should be. Each of us need to play a role in the future of Magi. If you own even 1 XMG, you should participate... That's just an example... we should all be working on this similar goals to help Magi, and I will help in anyway with Direction, now that I brought in a few more folks to give me a hand with that initiative.

Can we all join forces of pushing out info about Magi all of the places we are at?
I'm talking about Chat Rooms and Troll Boxes - IRC and Web Pages... Twitter and Facebook and Reddit .. even around on Bitcointalk

We need the community to stick together on this and unite promotions. OP seems updated.

RT / RE-QUOTE Twitter Feeds from #CoinMagi https://twitter.com/hashtag/coinmagi?f=realtime&src=hash

Where to share links? Use these two places for example:
http://reddit.com/r/cryptocurrency and http://reddit.com/r/altcoin

We can also utilize other channels around Bitcointalk..

Alternative CryptoCurrencies section:

Market Place for (Altcoins) section: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=161.0

Album #2 for video with animations: http://imgur.com/a/Oa6A5

Just as an addition:
XMG is less than a month old.
And is on the right track.

I do not want to underestimate any of the other (arguably for some) very nice features: POS-II, PoM (lol), Tor (in future), etc.
But I must admit that the most interesting feature here is that magi STILL is CPU-only. I think that that's the most attractive part for most people. I hope Devs keep it as it is. XMG have all the support I can provide economically at the moment.
Congrats and many thanks to the DEVS!

Agree with you guys, this solves majority of the serious problems, sure its not set and stone or perfect, but the devs taken the right action towards those steps.
