Nice data:

Well over a billion Market Cap - No.11 last time I looked, not where it should be but in the elite billion $ cap club.

Developments and news positive, too with Bithumb and tech proposals

And DNMs are still not back where they will be.  Yet.

On Polo:

- top (but one) of gains % today of all coins on Polo.

- Only ETH has higher daily volume

- Buy and sell sides on Polo are roughly even, so not many are for sale compared to usual ratios.

I could have booked profits, but it seems irrational. I am hodling.

Wooooo https://www.coingecko.com/en/price_charts/monero/usd
Does it make sense for XMR to be priced at ~$200 around where DASH and ZCash is?

Just imagine if Monero got onto Coinbase.

When XMR is listed on Bithumb and has some nice volume I would be surprised if Coinbase and Huobi dont follow.
They will. Wink

Either the network is broken or polo is insolvent.

No coins have gotten out of there in around 4 hours. Wonder how that rush on their funds has affected them...

More likely their hot wallet is empty and needs to be refilled (but that doesn't rule out they could also be insolvent, I just have seen no real evidence of it)

The network is not broken, although there is a backlog of transactions.

Sure,
Smells like foul play either way. They can easily afford to up their transactions fees to get their hot wallet refilled though.

My guess would be a human bottleneck, not fees (though not knowing how to increase the fee level could also happen)

Could they be that incompetent? The help info in CLI tells you all you need to know.

"set priority 4" would be the correct command. Or 3 if the fees for 4 are too high.

I wonder if its true Monero was just used to launder some of the stolen Enigma funds and thats the reason for this pump, if it goes back to $50 over the next few days we'll know.

We had a XMR trading volume of 200 million USD today...Enigma funds are worth 0.4 million USD.

I wonder how low it will go, too. I haven't sold anything today because Monero is one of the few coins I want to hold for a long time. Now I regret it a little bit that I don't sold, because it was conceivable that it goes down after this pump.

It could be worse... I did not even realize it pumped hard today and I had a good oppertunity to sell  Undecided Just recently checked my portfolio

I would say this is NOT a good time to sell... a 50% +  gain overnight garners some major attention, which is what we need. And now, with another major release/hard fork coming soon, DNM adoption, BitThumb, etc... we have much more upside potential than downside.

Here's just an example of one of the stories I ran across today.

Once there is a big move that is going to attract a lot more trading. Though I agree that 0.4 million to 200 million is a large gap.

I wasn't complaining. I just speculated if people who hold Monero for long time sell in a pump like this and rebuy later or not.

Selling?  Idiots.

Always the profit takers but they are the ones who buy in on the next leg up, also those that have been long for an extended period of time like myself should have taken this opportunity to close.

So any clue how much in shortage got squeezed? It does make me warm and fuzzy after having the shorts dogpile  my longs for the last 6 months.

I don't like to predict prices and it doesn't make sense anymore to compare in BTC terms. But, the only way it won't go above .03, is if BTC is at $10,000.

I expect that in the next 6-10 weeks or so we will see that $300 mark, at least momentarily with a 25-35% pull back.

Don't take this as trading advice and for full disclosure... I am very long in monero. (I'm Always long in Monero!)
