Did I miss something? What about the 50% jump we just had?

That was nothing compared to the huge pump last year.

That was nothing compared to the huge pump last year.

That was growth do to use case increasing from adoption with insider knowledge doing some manipulation and with those markets gone it was natural for the price to slide but then there was an intentional suppression which is easily spotted and that has been going on for the life of this coin. the only difference now is the Whales are Institutions and hedge funds from outside the crypto sphere and they have Bank capitol.

So IOW be very careful if you play it this market as it's no longer a place for the weak of heart, keep margin levels over 100%.

According to my rule of thumb the near-term target is .0293 BTC, or 117 usd

There was no real Monero XMR pump in 2017 yet. So I think we have to expect heavy gains until end of the year or 2018.

With last corrections, Monero gained x6 in 2017. While Bitcoin gained x4. So Monero grew half faster.

This growth is nice, but yes it is not growth that some coins had in 2017 x10+ or even x100.

Since Monero is a lot more “mature” than the coins getting 100x pumps I don’t really expect to see any big pumps coming our way, only a slow steady increase in price similar to Bitcoin.

What has made the last 24 hours even more joyous for the hodlers is not having to listen to the King of Flip Flops Truecryptonaire spouting his usual drivel.
he probably made some of the worst calls i have ever seen.

Even the speculation thread seems to have matured nicely along with xmr now.

i think we will have a fair few millionaires created this year from our beloved monero. If i could hug Aminorex i for sure would, that guys foresight and insight with monero has given me the ability to completely change my life.  I still believe that FPs fake news that so many criticised him for was a mastermind idea, and just gave even more exposure to monero, and in the long term more credibility.

Well, all of us had some reason to enter this market, and i can tell you for sure was not something that is called stupidity.
You can call it feeling, you can call it luck, however you like it. But it's proven to be the right thing!
I had the feeling to enter in Monero about 2 years before and i did that. Now with this small uptrend i felt the same in the early days of bitcoin.
I am sure we can see 200 level and more and if we don't will be a huge surprise for me.

What is your rule of thumb, if you don't mind sharing?

I expect the price to hover in the 80-90 dollar range for the rest of the week. There might be a dip after trading begins at Bithumb before another push to 100 and beyond.

I'm not even holding XMR (sold it for NEO weeks ago) but I think you're right. I think it was undervalued, now we are getting somewhere tangible.

Well well well...!  Greetings, gentlemen!

I haven't been able to post in the last couple days -- wife and I took a hop out to Vegas to watch the ECLIPSE yesterday out it the desert -- but certainly been watching the XMR party on my phone with much overdue satisfaction.

Just 'bout friggin' time here, we've started to catch up to where we ALL KNOW we should've long since been, by now.

Congratulations to all HODL'ers, and yep I wish I had not lost all my XMR paper wallets last month when they blew overboard off that sailboat.  Damn my luck.

Just remember a retrace is not the end of the world if we pullback a bit.

I've noted elsewhere that seems like lately we rachet-up about ten bucks a month, and things have been stagnant for about 3-4 months around the $40-$50 range... SO if we settle down for a little while around $70-$80 that'd prolly be just fine as it's simply making up the "missing" two or three $10-month-rachets, and we're just back to normal.

Onward and upward Cheesy

P.S. Lost a little money on the damn blackjack games here in Lost Wages, Nevada last night but WTF no problem, HoneyPony's got my back Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

I think he meant just decide what you're prepared to lose and take that...

I used to do that until I won at Blackjack and loved it.  Never went back after that - it was too delicious!

They changed the dealer on me three times and I kept winning - then lost half on one card and realiied how much I had just lost.  Took the rest and left.  I have never been back.  I realised I am too much of a gambler!

I realized in 2011 that i can loose many in Santo Domingo, it was my 1st time on the BJ...imagine i did not know the basics and i was winning many thousands pesos and i loose ALL. was a fantastic lesson!!! after that i put in my pocket 400 euro and when i go i go for the fun and prepared to loose maximum this amount and not a euro more!

EDIT: Vegas....yes i never been there... i promised to some friends that if i see anything back from my goxed coins will have a visit Smiley

I did the same in Puerto Plata in the early 90's and one of the girl dealers leaned forward to me and said don't play here they cheat. She was sweet. Smiley

I don't think I've played BJ since then except when I get free bets.

I got out of Vegas with only placing one bet, it was on the Pats V/s the Raiders and then found out I had to mail them the winning ticket to get paid!

Could it be that another Korean exchange, Korbit will add XMR?
Take a look at https://www.korbit.co.kr/ and the menu point "TRADE".

They have 500 million USD trading volume daily!
