In 2014 bitcoin gave us -57%.

We have no exact idea what loss will be on 31th December. But to expect profit, as the guy that I replied to asked, would be really silly.

Actually looking at numbers I am not sure if you are correct. On January 1st price of Bitcoin was $14200 to have  -57% price will need to be $6106 at end of year. What is totally possible.  To reach -71% price had to be $4118, what it was not this year so you made a miscalculation. Probably you looked at December ATH price and not a 1st January price of Bitcoin.


Lets focus on Monero to.  Price on 1st Jan was $350, to be -57%  should be $150 at end of year. What is also quite possible.   Biggest bear markets periods of this cycle are behind us for sure. But that dont mean that we will not have long periods of sideways where people will losing hope.  They joined crypto for big profits not that their bags stay same.

I think 2018 is Monero's year.

Emission wise, 2019 was designated the Monero year.

Ha, I dont think I can be really that good. I have no ideas of any technical analysis or something similar.   But I do know that always after rain there comes sun and also the opposite.  Although might look silly at first, but I feel right now way more calm as I did in November 2017. Back then with months and months of constant growth it looked all so unreal and it was obvious it will at some point went down a lot. And it did.  Right now when it mainly does go down, I know it will sooner or latter stop. And we all know what comes after rain.

I dont think any new technical reason will build rally for bitcoin to reach new ATH.   I think just more and more institutional investors will buy BTC and slowly push it back to $20000. Once that will happen hype will start again and people will start buying it.   I dont see Bitcoin reach new ATH this year, earliest mid next.

And whats the lowest u can see bitcoin and Monero drop. I was reading in a magazine 5000 usd for bitcoin and Monero at 0.015 btc, that’s 75 usd per Monero. This is based on the charts

OK, while writing it makes me think. I call that Monero will not go under $50.   Most of the time will stay way over that but should not go under this number ever.

IMHO, 3-4 months seems to short.
It'll take "at least" 2 quarters (6 months) to repair the price action, then break all time high again.

Breaking $500 in short period of time (e.g. 3-4 months) will not be sustainable and price may crash again.

I think it's too soon to tell, I thought by OCT we would have recouped the lost gains but this market has been far more bearish than I initially thought. But I think when it changes it will be abrupt. These new manipulators play a longer game and dig deeper. The crypto market is lost to the common man afa day trading IMO.

I was thinking yesterday. Monero started year 2017 as one of the most talked about coins, but latter lost the momentum. It looked like hype around other coins went up and around Monero stayed the same.  I never understand of a reason for that. Thought of marketing or that those that joined crypto will find Monero sooner or latter.  But what happened in 2017 and now will continue in 2018 are increased countries regulations. Countries had and will try to regulate ICOs and tokens and coins and all to collect as much taxes as they can. By doing that they mention coins and by that market them. And they mention all coins and tokens beside Monero. Because Monero with non transparent ledger currently dont fit in the scheme. And they have no ideas what to do with it so they ignore it. By ignoring they give no free marketing to Monero but give time to develop to get stronger.

Ignore, laugh, fight, you win.


It seems we are only at start. And we will have plenty of small disappointments on the way.

monero had to be taken over via the development team =) ~if this was really valuable the bytecoin would have rocketed too by now.
