So the guy who can't prove he's Satoshi is going to prove who everyone else is? I'm wondering what a psychoanalyst would make of that...

On a practical note, those 3 systems work in very different ways, so wouldn't he need 3 separate mechanisms for analysis? I guess we'll have to wait the year out biting our nails in feverish anticipation for doom's day or purchase whatever is sure to be the "better" solution. Crypto has anhilated my faith in mankind's motives--which isn't a bad thing, just makes me long for my youthful ignorance.

This was my first thought as well. The fact that all three of those privacy projects use very different techniques means a unified solution to uncover them all and also throwing Tor in the mix on top of that seems pretty disingenuous. This is the reason that I think he's actually throwing this out for one of two other reasons.  One... just to make other projects outside of Bitcoin SV look bad or two... he's wanting to depress the price in the so-called privacy sector for some other reason.

I am tempted to say he is just talking out of his ass. But actually I think the guy is a little bit too crafty for just that. I think he and Calvin Aire and possibly even Jihan and Ver are making moves.

I agree, CSW was involved in the earliest days of bitcoin and ignoring what he says because he comes across like a dickhead is dangerous, like ignoring Trump in 2016 because he was a failed businessman turned reality TV personality. CSW wants to be disliked, probably to make the fuck you sweeter if/when he moves satoshi bitcoin in 2020. He wants to destroy alts like XMR.

Probably Satoshi?  No way. For me he is plainly an ill-tempered, nasty and totally flawed liar.   I have no doubt he was around, but significantly? A key to Bitcoin's development?  I doubt it.  He is ready to lie and fake anything and if he has access to any significant keys, I doubt it was honestly.  He is happy to fake a signature and backdate a document, it seems. So he has no credibility whatsoever.  That doesn't mean he isn't dangerous, or won't pick up followers; it does mean anything he says must be taken with a very large pinch of salt.

That what I thought before investigating the question: This guy has no credibility. But actually, forging documents, lying, being ill-tempered... all that doesn't preclude him from being (part of) Satoshi.

Satoshi probably doesn't care a lot what other are thinking of him. CSW just don't care what other think, he doesn't behave like that to stole money from someone, he just doesn't care. It might even be a strategy to filter out people.

Anyway, him being Satoshi or not is irrelevant to the fact that he may be the first guy, with his fellow Ayre, to manage take over an important PoW chain. And that alone is worthy of consideration.

If he fails Thursday, then everybody can keep thinking at him as a clown. But if he succeed, then please, pay attention.

I just hope that he's not involved in MoneroV and other Monero forsk that requires private keys and other info from Monero.

Independent rational thinking without emotion is needed which many here lack, some struggle with the idea that people involved with the 'satoshi entity' and the creation of bitcoin might be arrogant dickheads with nasty personal habits, and even might have acted dishonestly in many provable ways. That is ALL irrelevant in what is to come, if satoshi bitcoins start moving in 2020 it doesn't matter diddly squat about the personality and character of the people moving them, just WHERE they move them, and how much hash they control.

^ This, Bitcoin & blockchain are all about what provably happened, CSW loves to trigger people, it doesn't alter how much hash he controls, and we'll soon see how much that is.
