I hope that Dev team reconfigures the having and block reward. So mining time from halving to halving last much longer so coin is mineable for years and change the block reward from 800 down to 400.
I just have a gut feeling that multi is still on it.
What do you guys think?

I certainly agree with something like that and made a similar post a couple days ago.  Troll was also talking about changing things in some way but they're probably still discussing that stuff as well as what % the PoS will eventually be.  I'd like to see a hybrid PoW/PoS coin.

I'm really leaning toward making this exact change if the community wants.  Personally I feel that even post-halving the block reward is too high and feel that it should be reduced by a lot.  This can be implemented even before proof of stake amounts are worked out, I'd just need confirmation from the rest of the team and of course from the community to make it happen.  Such a major change is something that I would not do without a LOT of support in favor.

Well you know I support extending PoW out for at least a year if not more. Would like to see halving done away with and just do the reduction "smoothly" every block.  Although I suppose having official "halving" gets people all "excited" and talking about the coin like we've seen here and what's been happening in Doge.

I have a feeling he meams ALOT more support... Playing with peoples reward structure will DEFINITELY piss some people off (not me, I dont care).

Here's two things that the coin would absolutely need: we need pos to keep people interested in holding and keeping  coins, especially when their value is harder to come by with the coming halvening. But with that a decreased block reward would short term drive the price up but long term might affect mining speed due to the fact that there is less incentive. Though this lack of incentive could be directly counteracted by a rising price. That is my opinion on what could happen.
