Anyone hit a Bitcoin yet? How can you tell if you hit one!?

Check your BTC address or look at the pools
https://blockchain.info/address/1PKN98VN2z5gwSGZvGKS2bj8aADZBkyhkZ

That only shows if they pay you. How do You know yourself you've hit a pool?

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

I think you might have your terminology a bit mixed up Smiley.  Your mining software will typically tell you the value of your best share.  If that value is greater than the current network difficulty, then you've found a block and you'll get the coins.  If you're running the Bitcoin Core locally, it will display a message on a transaction.  As was mentioned, blockchain explorer will show you activity for any wallet/transaction/etc you want to view.

Basically, if you're found a block solo mining you're going to see an extra ~25BTC in your wallet.  If you've found a block while mining on a "regular" pool, unless the pool specifically pays you a bonus for doing so, it doesn't matter that you found the block or not except for knowing that it was one of your miners that did.

Jonny's Pool - Mine with us and help us grow!  Support a pool that supports Bitcoin, not a hardware manufacturer's pockets!  No SPV cheats.  No empty blocks.

There were a couple of pool restarts just to pick up the latest ckpool code.

Odd thing. I have an S3+ solomining here for a while today, and I noticed that it has stopped hashing.

This is happening on 2 different Antminer S3+'s when I connect to the solo pool, but never when they are hashing on other non-solo pools.

Is this normal?

Not Sure but your best share must be more than 2 billion
Current bitcoin difficulty is 47 billion so your share must be better than 47 billion.

About two weeks ago I had a 1 TH Dragon miner turn a 140G share. I'm still trying to figure out how it did it and yes It made a block.

Yeah I sent a picture of the screen to Sidehack and his exact words were " you've got to be the luckiest guy I know". Unfortunately I had sold it the day before and was hosting it for the buyer on the Guild Undecided

Lol, those kind of things always make me think 'WHAT IF'; but then again, it wouldn't have hit that same share on the solo pool.

I only have one IP address blocked at the pool, and the reason is someone spent the last month trying to mine with an invalid btc address and I finally got tired of seeing the error. I mentioned it 2 or 3 times on this thread but the miner kept trying so I gave up and blocked it. Might have been you, so I'll disable the IP block

EDIT: 1jgddx4awtlxn9g3hmfzr99cvczk2u66mq is still trying to authorise with an invalid BTC address.
