Itod... Much more than I want to admit too.

Mikestang... It was one of the c1's that found it. In fact, the day before it found it I had that one mining to a different address. So glad I put it back to that one Smiley

And thanks to everyone else for the congrats, and most importantly ck for making this pool available!

Every time I wanted to quit my pursuit to solomine a block I would look at the photo above my miners with a quoute from Eleanor Roosevelt that reads "THE FUTURE BELONGS TO THOSE WHO BELIEVE IN THE BEAUTY OF THEIR DREAMS."

I have been solo-mining for much of 2014 on my own node with 230GH/s and with no luck.

In December 2014 I picked up three antminer s1's and two antminer c1's but could not figure out how to solo-mine on my own node with the antminer c1's so I have been exclusively solo-mining between three different solo-mining pools with those miners, although I shut off a few of the s1's about a month ago due to the heat.

Also last month, I rented 1.5PH's for a few hours with no luck either, and also 120THs for about a day and a half.

At times you just want to throw in the towel and give up, And then when you least expect it life may just throw you a bone.

Although I am still in the hole a little bit, this has almost brought me back to even, and I must say that the sense of accomplishment was worth it. I can now say that I have found a block!

So don't give up, and don't throw your life savings renting hashpower, because in this game there are no guarantees and 2TH's can win just the same as 1.5PH

Good luck to you all, may the next block be yours!

Man, I like hearing stories like this one! I've been running solo off and on here since the pool started with a S2 & S5 and some occasional rental hash when I feel like splurging. Still hoping to hit a block solo someday. Glad you found one!

Nice, thanks for sharing.  I found 6 blocks in pools in the last year, now I'm pointing my S1's here hoping they can reproduce the exploit solo.  Hope, hope... I thought it would happen earlier, and I sometimes think I should just unplug them... And then I read your message.  Great and congrats!

I'm glad it gave you guys some inspiration to keep on trying. I'm actually glad renting some major hashpower failed while mining along and never giving up with only 2.2TH did the trick, otherwise I think I might've invested the winnings into more hashpower and might've lost it all again.

This time I'm going to just be happy with what I have and not get too greedy.

I'll keep mining with what I have though, just in case I get lucky again.

Best wishes to you all!

Hoping more of you will experience the excitement of all your patience and hard work finally paying off Smiley

It's also worth noting that unlike pools that occasionally mine blocks with no transactions included to work around their inefficient code, ckpool code never does this as it's bad for bitcoin and we don't need the workaround. This last block solved included a huge 888kb transaction list, and the reward consequently had an extra 0.24116096 BTC in transaction fees.

Sweet, congrats!  Sounds like some rented hash hit the block for them?

Nice to know.

Great luck that this pool has been having lately.

My 'best' share hasn't been remotely close yet... someday that may change.

What does the 'Best Share' mean anyways.?

you machine earns shares  so if diff is 49,600,000,000   you need do a share higher then that.

right now my best share since the last block  is 31,000,000

{"hashrate1m": "1.01T", "hashrate5m": "968G", "hashrate1hr": "886G", "hashrate1d": "784G", "hashrate7d": "270G", "lastupdate": 1429005256, "workers": 4, "bestshare": 29188251.692913987}

Best share is nothing more than how close you came to getting a block which will take 49,446,390,688 or higher. Your best share so far is 29,188,251 so you can see to hit a block is indeed a large number to hit but it can be done. I hit a block on BAN last month with one of my S3 miners and now I have those miners pointed here.

Edit: I am 100% here now
