Kano I've noticed some bitcoin pools are starting to offer ethereum pools. Is this something you have considered? Might be a good idea, as many are mining both.
I'm pretty sure Kano is adamant that he will not do merge mining at all on his pool... I prefer "kano CKpool" remain as it is - 100% BTC pool. Dont get me wrong, I do have rigs for ETH and others too, however kano.is is code-optimised for BTC mining, managed by legends in the BTC world, grew to a handsome 45PH pool and performing well.... dont spoil it. Meanwhile Ethereum has its own objectives in crypto world, competes with BTC, mined differently, have very large mining pools already, POW now, POS later, etc. Just my 2 cents.

have to agree with that Better to do one thing exceptionally well than several things adequately Kano I've noticed some bitcoin pools are starting to offer ethereum pools. Is this something you have considered? Might be a good idea, as many are mining both.

I was looking at my lifetime stats.
I earned 16.249 coins with my oldest account
I earned 7.046 coins with my second account
Grand total of 23.295 coins.
I made 1 block so I am just a tiny bit over average luck.
25/23.295 = 1.0731916 to 1
If I were to hit a block overnight
I would go to 50/23.295 = 2.146388 to 1
that would make me a lucky mofo. Also would help the pool.
I had steak for lunch and homemade pizza for dinner. I am hoping to bust the block open.

The solar array has really cheap power but we have a cap of 7- 11 kwatts for now. While I am not a great fan of bitmaintech for the service they give I need the efficiency to compete.

Yeah it's on their web site now. Funny that such a big supplier of bitcoin hardware can't deal well with bitcoin payments: ... and complete the payment within one hour. Or the order will expired and invalid, your bitcoin may be lost.
Hate to have a 1 hour block like there's been a few lately and lose your BTC coz they have a stated "way out" ... and Bitmain being the biggest producer of empty blocks, sounds like they're trying to help themselves to your BTC ...

my payment was confirmed a lot later than 1h last time due to the fact that there was 251 input and I may have f***ed up the fee, but order went through... even though it was shown as expired. 1. Hash Rate: 14.0TH/s ±5%
2. Power Consumption: 1375W + 7% (at the wall, with APW3 ,93% efficiency, 25C ambient temp)
3. Power Efficiency: 0.098 J/GH + 7%(at the wall, with APW3 93% efficiency, 25°C ambient temp) I like the quoted speed spec a lot and would love to add 14TH to my approximate already 14TH. Alas, my "coin room" isn't able to support an addition of another machine without unplugging one of the S7's or adding another outlet. But, that wouldn't be a problem as unplugging an S7 would still give me greater hash. Heck, I could unplug all S7's and only mine with a single S9 and still have greater or equal hash with less power consumption! But I will wait until after the halving, and, hopefully, a rise in BTC price and a lowering of the S9 price. Also need to see if the first S9 need to have some bugs worked out. Drop the price, iron out any bugs, and I may just buy one in a few months. Just my ideas as I drink my late morning coffee. I should go back to sleep as that seems to be when the blocks roll in! Good job everyone on the 4 blocks so far for today! Yesterday was pretty stagnant. Let's get another 4 blocks today! EDIT: Without reading much of anything about the S9, I'm assuming it will run fine with Bitman's PSU used for the S7. Is that correct?

Sounds exactly like how I will proceed. Too many unknown variables at present. I only have limited space at the datacenter, if I get more they will charge me double for the same. So more hashrate in the current space would be my only option. Website says one bitmain APW3-12-1600-B2 psu will work with one s9. Another extra 175w for each flamethrower.

im tempted to buy one but if batch 1 of S9 is like batch 1 of S7. Ill wait a couple batchs. If bitmain has chips im sure others do as well. perhaps a better company will come to the table now that the s9s are for sale. (lets hope) cus if we are stuck with S9 as our only option then the prices will never decrease and homemining will become a thing of the past.
at 14th though it would be nice to throw a couple of those onto the pool to increase my returns.

Hate to have a 1 hour block like there's been a few lately and lose your BTC coz they have a stated "way out" ... and Bitmain being the biggest producer of empty blocks, sounds like they're trying to help themselves to your BTC ... Yeah that stuck out to me too. They never said anything like that on previous listings that I recall. They always said payment was due within an hour but never "your bitcoin may be lost" That's a little Bull Shitty because bitcoins don't get lost. They may take some time to confirm but lost they are not. And for over $2000 "lost" is not really acceptable. I was looking at my lifetime stats.
I earned 16.249 coins with my oldest account
I earned 7.046 coins with my second account
Grand total of 23.295 coins.
I made 1 block so I am just a tiny bit over average luck.
I've found 3 blocks here and my lifetime payout on this pool is less than 12BTC. So I got some people covered. My lifetime payout on all pools going back several years is over 50BTC though so I was operating with bad luck before I started mining here. I never found a block on another pool (that I know of although it is possible I did and just missed it).
