My goodness, this block is continuing to suck by the minute. It is already on the extreme edge of sucky-ness! How much suckier can it become?

On a different note, somehow or another I have become a senior member. I was at the Town Pump Tavern having my usual late-afternoon, cool beverage and looked to see if this block had cracked yet. It hadn't. So I then came to the forum to see what the latest comments of this sucky block were. And, low and behold, it said I was a senior member.
So, I'm just wondering what kind of raise do I get?  Smiley

Heaps of praise will be showered upon whom ever cracks this sucky block! ALSO, A BIG GOLD STAR to the CRACKER! Smiley

EDIT: Does luckyant REALLY have almost 15PH pointed at this sucky block??? Man-O-man!

Well, lukyant is now GONE and our pool hash rate has gone up slightly. You can count me as one who is slightly confused.  Huh

STILL, this %#$@%&*(**^%$$$ block persists. Without having to look, I'd guess this is one of the largest % blocks we have had. Certainly since I've been here I think. But my memory isn't the best....  Tongue

It is largest % one since the halving for sure.

And even earlier this year it seems that only 3 monsters are still ahead of this one:

405758 2016‑04‑04 20:24:36 494.310%
400259 2016‑02‑27 13:27:34 502.797%

As always with luckyant, it was a failover.

... and I guess I should post this CDF table again Tongue
Code:
 0.39346934028737    50.000%  1 in 1.6
 0.63212055882856   100.000%  1 in 2.7

 0.86466471676339   200.000%  1 in 7.4
 0.95021293163214   300.000%  1 in 20.1
 0.98168436111127   400.000%  1 in 54.6
 0.99326205300091   500.000%  1 in 148.4
 0.99752124782333   600.000%  1 in 403.4
 0.99872735771441   666.666%  1 in 785.8
 0.99908811803445   700.000%  1 in 1096.6
 0.99966453737210   800.000%  1 in 2981.0
 0.99987659019591   900.000%  1 in 8103.1

 0.99999385578765  1200.000%  1 in 162754.8
 0.99999998477002  1800.000%  1 in 65659969.2
 0.99999999996225  2400.000%  1 in 26489113602.6
 1.00000000000000  3600.000%  1 in 4503599627370496.0
e.g. 1 in 148.4 blocks is expected, on long term average, to be over 500%

Edit: added a few more numbers to the table - to get an idea of the chances of REALLY long blocks ... yeah it starts to approach zero around 2000%

That really long one was like 8 days long. But the pool was still around 3 ph if i recall  correctly. I wonder what the cdf would be with an 8 day block at current hash rate? Hopefully we will never find out. Taking a shot of whiskey to salute this soon to fall block.

Leave it to Kano to throw some mathematics at us! LOL  Cheesy
So I guess we were over due for a +400% block and actually overdue for a +500% block. Joy!  Wink

Get use to it, its only going to be worse.
60PH pools do only get 1-2 blocks a day at the moment running same pool software.
If this happens more and more in the future, days with 10-12 blocks gets more needed :-)
