What is the probability of these two events happening directly one after the other?

I think a better question could be what is the probability the drop happened directly before a dividend payment...

I really can't think that the drop and reversal were both orchestrated by SD to avoid paying a dividend this month.  The reversal means they've just put off this dividend until next month.  If SD wanted to screw their investors, they'd arrange for a drop and NO reversal, thereby taking the month's profits for themselves.

It is.  I started with the sample_armory_code.py script from the Armory repository, and modified it.  I'd have had it done by now but just spent far too long trying to work out how to replace the alternator on a car.  Got it running eventually.

Here's today's report, generated using the new code.

I'm a little suspicious of the giant peak in profits just as I made a big change to the script and will run the old version of the script to verify that this is indeed accurate.

The old script is still running (it's slow, which is why I changed it), but I looked at the recent bets.  Since the previous report, address 17qkxnZ8nNY1pzMXrFDgie4dZRcndvDkxW bet 250 BTC 31 times:

20 bets on lessthan 48000, of which only 11 won.  The 11 wins won 84.39 each, for a total of 928.30, and the 9 losses lost 248.75 each for a total of 2238.7545.  A net loss of 1310.45 BTC.

Also, 11 bets on lessthan 32768, of which only 4 won.  The 4 wins won 239.2495 each, for a total of 956.998, and the 7 losses lost 248.7505 each for a total of 1741.25.  A net loss of 784.25 BTC.

These 31 bets altogether account for a net loss of 2094.71 which pretty much explains the huge recent spike.  I only counted the 250 BTC bets from that address in the above.  There were a few smaller (but still large) bets too.

And the old script still didn't finish running after typing all that.

I made a sim in excel giving a coinflipper a 1% edge. Only ran it about 6000 flips but it really highlights how much variance you can run into with such a low edge.

Thanks for the reply. It happened to me. This is why I was so adament about wanting to know if this game can be rigged at all. This isnt the first time this has happened to me either.
