Here's the the projected income from running Thrones

Thrones Income

I've taken the liberty of pasting a snapshot from that link:

I think there is a chance that hosting costs could be a lot higher than that in the future but that will be when Thrones are hosting services and when the price of CRW will more than compensate.

Hosting 10 nodes would be about $20 through coin-servers.com Make sure to get in touch with them for your network. Great reliable service. And highly recommended. Add me on skype, And ill get you in contact with them. jjaauto@hotmail.com

i did not read here very close last weeks, but the latest talk here seems to be very interesting.
whats this thrones can someone tell me as i never heard from it for crowncoin?
you guys working on a: a decentralised application platform with incentivised nodes? that sounds really interesting.
how many people are in the crownteam?

will watch here more close for sure.

Yes, you hit the nail on the head

We have big plans for an Dapp platform, Thrones is the first mechanism to allow Dapp's.

Throne's are Masternode's (Dash).
With a couple of differences, we won't be using Thrones for coin mixing or instant transactions (Maybe one day?)

Thrones purpose will be to host decentralised applications.
Throne's require 10,000 Crowncoins as collateral and
receive 40% of the coinbase mining reward.

You can see what potential income you can expect
Throne Income

And the guide to setting one up (Not complete)

I'm fairly new to the team but glad to be helping a project that has been around for a long time.  Its a good stable coin to develop new services on. I've been involve with a few coins with dodgy wallets and stuck chains over the last few years.  Nothing like that here.  Good solid code.

The fact it is sha256 merge mineable also attracted my attention.

We are just implementing "Thrones" which are our version of masternodes which will receive 40% of the block reward in return for providing decentralised services.  Dash nodes work so well that we have re-used a lot of Evan Duffield's code.  Why reinvent the wheel?  Instead of "Darksend", Thrones will be providing other services.

We're a small team.  Our dev, chaositec, is sometimes time limited due to his day job.  We're really looking to build the team and the community.  We particularly need help from people willing to help us test Thrones and then contribute to helping others get started.

You can't provide services without a decent service network! Wink

42 connections? Nice!

I hope people who host Full Nodes switch over to Thrones to receive payment for their valiant service.

As soon as we are happy with the builds with Throne support, we'll do a big communication push to get people to update.

I reckon we give miners 1 month to update their software before enforcement. Hopefully any price rises in that period will more than compensate them for the loss of 40% of the block reward.

We have to keep everybody happy if we can.

=======================

This guide will help you activate a Throne (Masternode) (Paid Full Node) on the Crowncoin network.
You will receive 40% of the coinbase reward for your service and require 10,000 CRW as collateral.
The guide is intended for Windows/Linux VPS, cold/hot wallet.

=======================

I tried to make it as easy as possible for new people to follow, so good luck!
Please post here for any help in the setting up of Thrones

=======================

Keep an eye on this thread, a big update is due today/tomorrow and will set dates for enforcement
and also our plans for the future  Shocked

Right, I'm getting  a strange error trying start-many

What I should see is this:

"Successfully started 0 thrones, failed to start 2, total 2",

What I am actually seeing is:

"Successfully started 0 thrones, failed to start 0, total 0",

I did a bit of digging on the Dash wiki and that hints that the throne.conf file is in the wrong location, but I can vouch that it is not
