Hi XAPO,

I use XAPO from about 5 months ago. But if I want to login, why always showing messages like this:

Device Verification

To ensure your security, we need to verify your device via a 6-digit verification code. Learn more

We just sent an SMS to +*********** 123.
6-digit code

Can you help me?

From what it looks like, you just enabled their 2fa setting, which will ask you to provide 6 number given by sms that is sent to the mobile number you entered when you signed up, obviously that +*********** 123. If you don't like this method, I believe you can download xapo mobile app, that way you will be asked to enter the number provided within the app itself instead of waiting for sms.

The main problem of services like this is that they are not transparent and there are always hidden fees. So I'd like to clarify the following thing
http://oi63.tinypic.com/6hn8tj.jpg
What the total amount will I get from this exchange?
614,0796USD or 614,0796-1%=607,9388UDS or maybe something else?

I'm afraid that it is "maybe something else", I never bought btc from xapo so I didn't know for sure, but their FAQ said

Quote
Does Xapo charge a fee to buy bitcoins?
Xapo charges a fee of 1%. Also, processing fees may apply depending on the payment method.

So I assume there will be another fee, although it maybe externally like a charge from your local bank or something like that. I can be wrong, though.

If they charge just 1% it's okay, I hope there is no additional paygate fees or something else like this.

Another service like this - UQUID claims that they don't charge any fees on deposit bitcoin and has the highest exchange rate. But after this post #155 there was explanation from UQUID representative about their paygate (BitPay) fees. And even after this they haven't been exposed into the official fees list yet. And btw it looks like their exchange rate is not the highest one.

Their last activity was 2015 for unknown reason, but they still answer and helps their customer via another username called xapo_partners though it is quite poorly. Latest, it was also changed to another user named jessie_xapo, and she was quite active in answering and helping. So maybe you want to pm her to take her attention. You know, maybe she didn't check this thread too often.

They actually have a good dedication to give service on cryptoworld, they offer a good deal of things like debit card and free transaction fees, but unfortunately such marketing strategies are not supported by the customer care team. Think of it like yobit, a good exchanger with poor help desk. I thought the ones who uses their wallet will mainly be new comers because of what they offers, they have a direct payment to faucets. Or more experienced people who use it as secondary or tertiary wallet

So Xapo is crap now?
Good thing I read this about their MIA from their support team and I will not be registering for a debit card from them now.

XAPO is now THE WORST Bitcoin wallet provider.
Support is not responding.
Since two months I can't access my Main Wallet. Trying different browsers, cleaning up caches, use proxy, use vpn.
I also tried login from different country using my vps and its still the same!
If you do not want to lose your bitcoins DO NOT USE XAPO!!

It's ridicoulus, they work is totally negation of Bitcoin idea.

Yeah, I was able 2 months ago too.
So if they are blocking some of users, not all, makes it a trusted platform?Huh
There is many posts, even on this forum, where users are blocked without a reason!
Be aware, maybe some day they will block you too.

P.S. I tried Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Iceweasel, IE. On Win10, Win8 and Debian.
It's not a software problem. It's XAPO PROBLEM.

I see that the admin is back online today to change the subject of this thread. Have you tried to contact them from the FAQ (as suggested on the thread title? Yeah, I know that their help desk is lame, but maybe admin's "awakening" to change the subject indicating that they have a stronger help team right now?
