        Hi XXXXX,

        We just heard back yesterday. It looks like it may have been an issue with the default configuration for Zerotime, but I haven't gotten confirmation on that yet. The transaction that disappeared did eventually reappear.

                Hi XXXXX,

                We had an issue where a deposit was reported as confirmed, then later disappeared. Until we know what happened, it is safer to raise the confirmations a little.

As I remember VNL on Polo had only 1 confirmation, now it's four.

Does any of you know why?

It is 4 now. Oldmankid does not know the details of this change. Very strange.

OldManKidd: Stealthmode, usually when there is an increase in the confirmation needed it would be to strengthen the security of the network for the coin

We have to know why they changed it.

Anyway it has already been priced in in August so now we need something new to cause a pump.

I don't like pumps, i like steadily rise of the value due to improvements, adoption, marketing, community, exchanges, markets, etc...
Pump means dump, and that doesn't the way our community wants for vnl.

Unfortunately, I haven't seen an altcoin with a different scenario yet. But a pump can also lead to a higher price than was before it, even after profit taking phase.

Slow and steady rise in crypto is mith. When you think you found one it turns it is just another p'n'd, and when price is based on BTC which is crypto standard but also p'n'd coin than 'slow and steady' is nothing but a fairy tale.

We are going to have to transcend 'normal' crypto when backing VNL. I anticipate success will be slow.. we probably won't see a lot of you around by that time.

i know he will deny it to kingdome come, but if john-conner lent up being a key developer for a major world renowned project I wouldnt be surprised..

Kim Dotcom? Someone (maybe even JC) should get in touch with Kim.. he would support it and write a rap song about it. May even top the charts in New Zealand!

I hope VNL will still be relevant in the coming years. I would hate to see VNL become one of those forgotten bitcoin-forked legacy coins. Then again JC said the project was "forward-thinking." From what I've seen, I expect I'll be here for a long while.  Smiley

I think it's been heavily communicated that this isn't a fork

Indeed VNL is not a clone. I was just referring to "yesterday's" coins (which happen to be bitcoin-forks).

If any of the Investors or Newcomers were here from the beginning then you would know that VNL felt (& still feels) like something completely weird and technical to get into, similar to how the "other" CryptoCurrency that was released in 2009 was.

In this day in age of Cryptocurrency Adoption things have been very well sped up compared to the very start with information, community and development for CryptoCurrencies almost abundant today.

Vanilla may very well be the Saviour to CryptoCurrencies since it is "Completely Different to Bitcoin", and as John said "It is possible to make cryptographic currencies more performant, energy efficient,
secure and private"

With the whole Bitcoin being traceable (If you look hard enough), Government Crackdown, etc in the headlines recently I would assume the "Others" who wish to remain anonymous with their Use/Savings of "Acquired Money" are looking for a new Platform besides Bitcoin to Transfer to & Adopt.

Also look at how the Bitcoin Community is split between Core & XT all over some changes to make it better.... Tell that to John & he will happily invent "another" something that can eliminate all the Problems other Digital/CryptoCurrenecies have.

Imagine going to a Online Market Place and using Vanilla to buy anything on there..... Ahhh that would be terrific Grin

I'm trying to create a super node in a mac wallet and I'm not getting.
This is appears on the console:

{
    "walletaddress": xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx,
    "collateralrequired": 10000,
    "collateralbalance": 10000,
    "networkstatus": firewalled,
    "votecandidate": false,
    "votescore": 16352
}

Do I need to disable the firewall to work?
Each node must be in a different machine?
thanks in advance

sounds like you need to forward the port. are you using a router? if yes go to the data dir and open the text file config, it will tell you what port you are using
if you're not sure how-to, have a look here:
http://portforward.com/
its pretty simple but router software can be a bit confusing

you can also try creating an exception for VNL in the firewall

each node must have a unique ip address to be incentiveized

Good News Guys,

I asked Polo what the reason was for this 4 confirmations and this was their answer:

We had a bit of a scare with a deposit that was confirmed, but then disappeared. Eventually, the same transaction reappeared (so there was nothing like a double spend), and it looks like it was just a matter of less-than-ideal Zerotime settings in our wallet. We're nearly ready to lower confirmations again, but we're waiting for a final okay from the developers.

Best regards,

Ps Could someone contact John or maybe he sees it himself

@HeartaStack your quote: I've always said polo is crypto mafia (just way more efficient and organised than the clowns at other exchanges). And of course they are in bed with XMR groups, that as we know are out to destroy VNL.

I think you were a little bit 2 quick 2 judge, but happily everything is okay Wink
