And how do you explain him dropping the price from 2.9 to 2.7?
The one-sided thinking here is mindblowing. You have no idea why he stopped selling.
This is why he stopped selling: If you're willing to reveal any of your selling rationale, I'd be curious to hear it.
240x ROI, also anticipating a bitcoin bubble soon so I'd like to seal in some of my profits when the hype starts up again. (this is quite a sad, predictable cycle) I'm not done selling. friedcat has goodies coming as I discovered today when someone in particular decided to buy a shitload of shares from me. That's why he SAID he stopped selling. Actually, wait, no. He didn't even say why he stopped, just that he'd be selling more. Yes he SAID that too. Haven't Vycid been saying (perpetually repeating himself) that there will be price drop and soon WHALES ARE COMING TO SELL shares?! And right after that, the mentioned whale pops out of nowhere with an illusionary liquidation of his whole holdings via rushed and under priced auction closed to all comments, as well not responding to TAT's buy offer ?! That stinks from quite a distance.

Hi, I'm the whale. No, I'm not a board member and I haven't been since April. I was kind of concerned about having board membership earlier this year because if I did want to liquidate I didn't want to have some sort of insider trading bullshit pinned on me. Also I panic sold enough shares to lose board membership and regretted it later on. Why was I liquidating? - I wanted to prepare my bitcoins for the massive BTCUSD bubble which is coming pretty soon and started getting anxious when ASICMINER shares were slowly dropping
- Dividend sucked and I expected gigantic panic sells so I threw all my shares out there.
Why did I stop liquidating (for now)? - Someone who I think has a pretty informed position in ASICMINER bought a lot of shares from me and so, screw it, if I'm going to lose 25% in a day I might as well stick it out with this guy
- Then I started getting a ton of PMs for buying shares at market price and realized I might want to wait before I sell too many more, as I was selling some shares way too low.
- All my offers were being filled by big players, which is usually when you know you're making shitty trades.
- friedcat has more things to announce, it's not like they planned ~6 months worth of stuff for nothing.
I'm not done selling obviously but I'm definitely done panicking. Thanks for detailed explanation. The whole act disturbed AM share market widely.

I'm not done selling obviously but I'm definitely done panicking. Whales are people too. Thanks for being candid. One less mystery to worry about and comforting news if your suspicions are correct about the big player buys. Or you could be pumping up the price. What do you think, Vycid, is this guy lying or not?

I really don't think they're involved, because now, the whale selling has turned into positive news. There was so much demand that it made him change his mind on selling his shares. Other whales were willing to pick up the slack and buy up his cheap shares. That tells you something right there. That doesn't sounds like all the whales are ready to dump, it sounds like the whales are holding, and small holders are getting raped. tl;dr - panic will make you lose money

Or you could be pumping up the price.
I am pumping the price, but I'm also telling the truth. That's the whole reason I posted. I realized my huge sell-offs were scaring people and causing a false prophecy sort of situation. I don't want people thinking there's some mysterious board member or catastrophe and you have to run for the hills, when it's really just a high-school dropout with too much emotion in his trading.

Hey I believe you! I'm also very appreciative of how you handled things. This morning it took forever to get coins into btct to buy cheap shares and I missed the opportunity. But as your efforts continued the price dropped again and I bought all the way down. But Vycid says that there are tons of whales ready to dump. So if that is true you can't be telling the truth.

how many whales are there? and what constitutes a whale? I'm barely a goldfish, but it would be interesting to know.

Emotional investing is dangerous investing but at least you realize that and can learn from it. But considering the dividends given I think your pretty safe regardless of your investment strategy from here I believe that the biggest holders wanting more shares according to yourself is a good sign as they have a stronger understanding of the operations as board members, the fact that you are the owner of these shares means that it is plausible by all accounts people were PMing you http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424127887323550604578413162718644332.htmlAnyways stops over-thinking it there is no mysterious board member here

Would you mind demonstrating the slightest logical incompatibility between his statements and other whales being ready to dump? Most people with significant AM holdings are sophisticated enough to understand not everyone can sell their shares at current prices, because there's little underlying value. It's just a matter of time.

There is a reason somebody would dump millions USD at 'below market'- he knows it won't sell at current prices. The whales don't believe in AM anymore and there was never 160M of value here.
You were wrong. Whales have not lost confidence. Unless eb3full isn't being honest about big players buying his shares. Is that what you think?

well, technically, 2 whales. Maybe more. He said "big players". Implies more than one. I don't know how many whales there are, so I don't know if 3 whales is a lot or not.

Hah. I am solidly a "Guppy" with my double digit ownership I would prob speculate that most "whales" are indeed holding steady. If you have $1 million + invested its fairly unlikely that a single week of 'underperforming' dividend really shakes you up. Especially considering almost all really major share holders have average purchase prices so low that not only have they made back their entire initial investment several times over in dividends but can realize several hundred % profit from selling anywhere over 1 BTC.
