Price of BFL Single: $2499 for 50Ghs.

Price for 5x AM blades: 3.5btc x 5 x 130 = $2275 for 50Ghs.

Every single BFL device that has been pre-ordered just got undercut. I would expect nearly every rational actor with a BFL preorder to cancel immediately. Friedcat just bankrupted them.

bfl is hashing lots of th as we speak.  they won't go bankrupt. just look at the unknown  hashrate

16% of 550th is  88th   or 176 "new" mini rigs .  don't you think bfl is using some mini-rigs to stay afloat?  Maybe not 176 but 20 or 30 or 40 of them.

Newly priced blades already sold out!!
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=282867.msg3028437#msg3028437

EDIT: I don't think there were so many in stock...

lol. this is funny . Terminating old stock, something new must be at the doors. maybe 65nm products ?

Well, fc just terminated with this pricing policy. New stocks could be out with even lower pricing soon. But the chip technology is not going to change before gen2, which won't be out before november (and just for test). Stop expecting gen2 in the near future, it should be widely available closer to the end of the year. That doesn't mean that blades with current chips cannot be improved, or production volume increased, or price lowered to follow increasing difficulty...

hmmm, I wonder how many were in stock.  A few hundred?  1,000? 5,000?

I kinda doubt it was much above 1,000.  For each 1,000, that's .00875 added to the dividend (assuming nothing is held back)

This pool is also counted as unknown, so....

Title of the topic was "limited quantity" so propably not more then 100. It sold out so quickly...

that was quick

The blades in stock are all sold out.

Sorry for the purchasers who missed the queue. If you are still interested,
please ask for resellers on later available products.

I guess there were at least 100 blades

For the hashrate was about 60THs before the drop to 30THs, I guess these were about 3000 "tested" blades and they are sold now (and replaced by Gen2).

What is quite surpring to me is that it sound like resellers were not preferred in the queue, so waiting for them to offer cheaper blades might be possibly no good option. Anyone got in there offering them for resale (like Menig in German market for 4BTC + VAT)?

where does this keep coming from?  In what world does FC deliver Gen2 blades 2 months before they even get assembled?

I don't know.  Maybe we need a bot that once every 20 posts on any ASICMiner thread it autogenerates a post containing commonly repeated nonsense.

judging by the number of posts that keep repeating the nonsense, I think we need a bot that posts a giant debunk of everything.

1. 6 hour hash rate estimates are not accurate, no matter how much you want them to be
2. Gen 2 isn't due until October, at the earliest.
3. BFL is a scam, not real competition.

I feel ashamed about my rashly writing. True it is it can't be GenTwo. I just keep my guess about the number of blades then.

I think you are both wrong. Gen 2 Blades were not announced to hold Gen 2 CHIPS. They were simply said to be a new design of mining blade (USB, possibly case and fans). A new Generation of Blades is definitely possible, though I would assume based on Gen 1 chips.

oh, yeah, you are right.  I have been referring to Gen 2 blades as "the New Blades", which hold Gen 1 chips.  I hadn't thought of them as a Gen2 blade until you put it like that.

In any case, no one should feel ashamed.  It's a common mistake, obviously, cause people keep bringing it up.

But, in the context of Blade v2, then you might be right.  In the context of Chip v2, there's no way those are close to being ready right now.

I propose to keep the wording "gen2" for the new CHIPS only, to avoid confusion.

So, a dictionary of bladealogy:
Old Blades    old blades, overclockable, usb controller?!
New Blades   new blades with ethernet controller for easier farm menagment, non-overclockable?!
Gen2 Blades  future tech

Correct?! Anything else?!

That looks good, and that's how I had it organized in my head.

I see an issue, and that is that we may have a Blade v3 before Gen2 Blades come out.

So, I propose the following:

Old Blade = Blade1
New Blades = Blade2
Newer blades = Blade+n

Anything with Gen2 chips = G2Blade1, G2Blade2, etc

We also now have USB1, USB2, etc
