For some strange reason I thought I was still reliant on Milan tonight but completely forgot yesterday I knew Bellingham scoring or not would decide my fate already. GG LTU_btc... scores do not reflect how close the round was but I'm happy with my three points.

Milan with 10 Ken and pulling out Pulisic does not look good for me anyway so I am happy.

Don't think we've ever had questions so early either bit given the first round fiasco, I think this extra time will be most welcome.

1002  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Top Crypto Execs Confident SEC Will Approve Spot Bitcoin ETFs on: October 22, 2023, 04:15:27 PM
Member when top crypto execs (whatever does that mean, anyway, haha) were predicting several hundred thousand dollar Bitcoin rallies in 2018? Or actually,  more recently, when they were a lot more Conservative with 100k predictions a year or two ago?

The ones given the mic now are party crashers. Still believing they can influence.

We are in a good place. Natural halving and network pressures will effect the six-figure prices we crave. No need for the artificial corporate leanings of these ETFs.
1003  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Italian Serie A ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2023/2024 on: October 22, 2023, 03:07:25 PM
Turns out no one cares about this topic, everyone is too busy with PL thread LOL

Mea culpa, I even remembered to ping an update on the La Liga thread but there really was a lot going on elsewhere. Don't think anyone should pass up the game at Milan tonight though, if you're able to. That's also important for BSFL Wink

Otherwise, wretched performance even if I got one exact so far this week.

Hijacking a bit for La Liga -- thought I was smart getting Las Palmas draw but the 0-1 Italian old curse crept up, huh. Girona and Almeria serving up quite a fest and it's not even half time!

But promise, Atalanta will have my eyes next =D

Edit: Oh wait! I got 3 exact scores haha! Lots of ground to make up on bullrun tho...
1004  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Eredivisie 23/24 - discussion thread on: October 22, 2023, 12:14:53 PM
Oh, oh, oh, Lucky Ajax just couldn't do anything right, could they? Fantastic comeback to get to 3-2, and then the inevitable happened, snatching a draw from the jaws of victory, and then they also kinda lost their heads in the end. And that wholly unnecessary conclusion truly didn't have to happen but are we even surprised anymore? Game suspended, I suspect we'll see even more punishment after this.

Bookies wisened up too so I haven't even found good odds lately against them... will they be value bets next game with a win though? Or should we just call the mortician early?
1005  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2023/2024 on: October 21, 2023, 05:33:43 PM
Damn guys, yah international breaks not only bury topics on forum, even in my mind. Natural for me to watch Prem but even with BSFL reminder I somehow slipped to watch at least a little of Sevilla-Real. HT now but I'm out anyway so am just going to have to sit this out.

You're doing all right slackovic. It might be a motivation catalyst or downer to look at Superbru performance but believe me, it's much more luck than skill -- skill and knowledge ensures midtable, luck is what will propel you to a prize. Just keep consistent and wait for others to forget picks and/or get unlucky.
1006  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Odds, units advantage | Sportsbook | +91147 units on: October 21, 2023, 02:55:40 PM
Well, the Portuguese pick above actually didn't turn out too badly after all. FT 0-0 so we lost but the tie was extremely balanced all the way til 75th minute. Equal shots on goal and off, equal corners, equal cards and even more or less equal possession. No idea about actual quality of play, would be surprised if anyone found a stream but I think that vindicated the pick.

United were natural picks today but I ignored Brighton vs City (I don't like the seagulls these days) and shooed-in Blades, while not forgetting to slip in one against PSG, kicking off in a few minutes but live might even be better. Two bets then, both at Sportsbet:

100 units on Sheffield Utd to WIN vs Man Utd @7.82. Other odds: 7.6. Bet ID: 653136cb4149c6000142d2b5
100 units on Strasbourg to WIN vs PSG @16.40 Other odds: 15  Bet ID: 6533dbe64149c60001dc8c43
Total units advantage: 162

That puts us up 3 bets pending...

Running advantage after 25 bets: +2583 (+162)
All-time cumulative: +92,443
Running units after 22 bets (3W|19L): +388 (-100)

Sick table, I promised to do my post already, just a bit too um, not normal enough to be able to look at a table in code properly haha. Just a request to Cro2 could you use the wordless logo instead for table? less words so maybe easier to see, it's this one (only if not too much trouble sorry!)

buwaytress BSFL logo: https://talkimg.com/images/2023/10/17/R5bpZ.png

Anyway, Liverpool won so I should be ecstatic but the 2 goalsruined my ability to take a point, thinking I was left with a mountain to climb... but my man LTU_btc also decided to not score anything. Only Bellingham and Brighton left to separate us, eh LTU?

someone give me the link of forum ,

Are you sure you are betting on Sheffield against Man United?
There is no easier team to win in Premier league now, but they managed to win against few years ago so maybe history repeats again Wink

Monkey see, monkey do and I'm on a sort of autopilot on United and Chelsea now if odds are better than actuals haha

Well, when you have Harry Maguire in team, everything is possible Cheesy Usually, Manchester United plays with 10 players while opponent has 12 players, 11 + Harry Maguire and Harry plays like an imposter.

I say it often: long live Maguire in a United shirt! These days even Onana is helping him out a lot.

@buwaytress you maybe onto something because Manchester United injury crisis has exploded with both Casemiro and Amrabat injured meaning a weak midfield and further Sheffield can exploit the left back position too.

That news all happened long before I placed my bets. Don't get me wrong, I still think Unitd will win. This is Sheffield, relegation fodder. But I'm betting against them as reverse insurance. If they lose, I'm happy, if they win, I get point from them in prediction pools =)

LFC_Bitcoin you watching derby from comfort of home or soaking in the atmosphere at Anfield? Prepped myself all hours before the game knowing we'd be without a certain Scotsman who's always a constants for me but his deputy's not bad. Lineup is finally looking like our 4-3-3 is returning but I did wince a little to see my man Nunez not starting! Hoping Alexis improves and meets his rating for once.

Never thought I'd fin myself saying this but thank god for Arsenal or this Super Sunday would be an all-draw affair.
Quite a strange gratitude, because a draw would have been in favor of Liverpool  Wink

I'm a football purist when it's convenient Wink

Sorry late reply, even with notifications I miss some posts...

Hats off to anyone who had Shelton. But go Mochizuki..! Whoever he is. De Minaur would have been my third pick but I guess these guys decided to WTA it in Tokyo, huh. Look at Jinetics and Kokee though, perfect 3 from 3 so far, and both in the same division!

Going to be a hot weekend, and Liverpool "3+ goals by 3+ different players" is only selected by 9 players. Nunez, Diaz, Jota, Szoboszlai, Salah!

I'll post my "profile" post later tonight. joker_josue table, very nice.
1011  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Bundesliga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2023/2024 on: October 20, 2023, 05:52:30 PM
didn't check the whole table, but three correct picks above me in standings, so many pointed in Augsburg direction
still, I would not call a bad start for them overall, maybe something else influenced change
nevertheless, it is all over, and we should concentrate on new round

Bayern playing with Mainz, so Mainz will probably stay where they are, rock bottom
Koeln home against M'Gladbach, chance for a first win? or they are cursed this season

Yup, all over. I'm (trying to) get over it. Really thought that would be my edge. I'm now of course looking to catch Mainz odds if they reach a more suitable level. Bo's already piping to the media that he knows the secrets to beating Bayern, haha.

There will be one upset this weekend, just hoping it doesn't happen too early with BVB -- whom I'm really counting on to make a splash next week in UCL.
1012  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Odds, units advantage | Sportsbook | +91147 units on: October 20, 2023, 03:54:34 PM
As for United, it's quite funny to see Copenhagen's odds like this away. Currently the quotes are as follows:

1.42 - 4.90 - 7.20

How far United have fallen! +42% for winning the home game against Copenhagen, what?  Grin

I remember Chelsea over 2/1 to beat... Burnley, Fulham! They and United (PSG also) are frankly just shameful embarrassments to football. Even Liverpool in terrible seasons would still be hot favourites (which is problematic as a fan haha).

I'm trying out something a bit out of my comfort zone here but I feel like there's value in a Portuguese cup tie tonight. The favourite is Liga B mid-tabler but the away team, a league below, actually reached a last cup final while being champion of their promotion group, so to me, they are qualitatively equal.

2 games now pending.

100 units at Sportsbet on SC Vianense to WIN vs Santa Clara Azores @10.90 Other odds: 10

I know I'm not the only one looking forward to resumption of club football. As LFC_Bitcoin and jeremypwr already so capably share, Merseyside derby has my heart and soul, but I think even tonight we got a sumptuous appetiser in Bundesliga, and the whole weekend will move stage for UCL, where Newcastle is going to build on the buzz (I'm backing, wearily, BVB, sorry Toon army).

As is new tradition, bet against United on both their games this week -- my hot tip. Even a handicap acca for ye who don't like risk brings warmth.
1014  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: YoMix warning on: October 19, 2023, 08:43:13 PM
I wouldn't take any exchange's warnings at face value. They all subscribe to 3rd party alerts, who all use software originating from the same source. It's called cheap AML compliance.

I would say, however, you learnt a couple of lessons here:
- break the on-chain link with services, no matter CEX, casino, or mixer. It only involves one extra transaction, costs next to nothing, and helps preserve your privacy. 90% of services don't look beyond previous tx.
- Yomix obviously needs to improve their own privacy measure and break their on-chain link.
1015  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Bundesliga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2023/2024 on: October 19, 2023, 03:08:45 PM
BVB need a win desperately in UCL so I wonder if they could slip up at home this weekend? Still went for a comfortable home win there, though, and Reus seems to be quietly picking up form...

it's official and fc augsburg is the first club to sack its coach this season.
the club parted ways with Enrico Maaßen last night. augsburg is in 15th place in the table after 7 games with 5 points (1 win, 2 draws, 4 defeats).
Wow, that's really early, especially for Augsburg, where 5 earned points so far are not that bad. Maybe the loss at home against Darmstadt, a direct competitor for relegation, must have been very devastating for Augsburg internally. 2 weeks ago, Augsburg even won against Mainz, also a direct competitor, who decided to stick to Bo Svensson but is only at 2 points currently.
And here we are, first coach got sacked and it's not Mainz or Bremen. Köln's coach might also get sacked soon.  Cheesy

Sad for me, Mainz was my pick and they were trying really hard to go rock bottom, even their player got cheeky a few days ago with a political post he later had to retract. Augsburg aren't great but I'm really not sure firing their manager changes much. Oh well. Did anyone actually get this pick right?
1016  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My first Bitcoin on: October 19, 2023, 01:59:43 PM
My earliest earns were actually in alts. Freelance writer here and I moved to accepting crypto about 7 years ago but people at the time were experimenting a lot and older clients who paid well weren't convinced about Bitcoin -- nor was I capable enough to help them with the process until circa end 2016.

The other problem was people who were paying in crypto didn't pay well, I even started writing for ridiculously small amounts (which would only get more generous with alts). It was to be expected, you always have to start small, build a reputation, and then they can make comparisons and understand your value.

I earn my first Bitcoin through faucet
Has anyone actually saved the bitcoins received from faucet? Or did most users sell it for a small amount? I wonder if anyone had the patience to not sell it for so long.

My freebitco.in account is still collecting from random freerolls whenever I remember. Saved up enough for a modest withdrawal and even premium membership. It's literally fractions of cents but costs me at most a few seconds a day, in idle time.
1017  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Awareness - Welcoming New Bitcoiners with $1 Worth of Sat in Cameroon on: October 19, 2023, 12:36:56 PM
Pretty cool. I mentioned this before somewhere too but my very first sats received to my wallet (Electrum) was 10,000 sats. It's pretty crazy that it's worth almost three dollars today. More like less than 5 cents when I got mine.

I'd recommend getting people's first interaction to be on-chain now though. Fees a wee high but it's really nice to show them how it works on explorer for the first time I feel.

Damn, I thought Ruud won't make the finals, but Zverev was already out so I picked him instead. Should have went with Tommy Paul.

I also swear to God that I wanted to go with Uruguay not losing - but it's the first round so I wanted to play it safe. Both of my 'secure' options backfired and I'm a goal down already, with still a lot of different answers to catch up though.

Worse, I even picked him to bevthe winner, and really because I just thought everyone on his side if the draw were lightweights. I don't know much about tennis but Ruud struck me as among the most boring, most conservative... but most consistent.

Running out of questions, bad position in my first round, haha.

Funny how we both went for safe picks but Italy and Uruguay had different ideas.

Sup, ADante -- I think Salah's been a great MVP every single season he's played for the Reds, so I'm well with you there. Unfortunately, Fantasy is blind to most qualitative ways to look at value (MVP surely focuses on value!). It's all about clean sheets, goals and assists now and while FPL these days also try to give bonus points they still only count for quantifiable aspects.

But Salah's value off the pitch (training and locker room) and off the ball (movement, opportunity creation, space creation) will never count in Fantasy.

One day, I dream of Fantasy Football that incorporates many of these things (secondary and tertiary assist leading to opportunity, for example. Will Majestic Fantasy be the first to dare try? Ha ha Wink
1020  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Odds, units advantage | Sportsbook | +91147 units on: October 18, 2023, 01:04:03 PM
Great pick! Gratz  Cool
To be honest, it would never have occurred to me to place this bet (in my opinion, the odds were too small for an away game). I’m probably biased towards teams from Central Asia, but it seems to me that they play weakly in away games, but at home they are stronger than average. But today Zainutdinov broke my stereotypes  Grin

I've been hitting these "expanded UEFA" teams since Nations League started with new slits for EURO qualifications. Back in the day Georgia, Armenia, Azer, Kazakh easily 15/1+ but now they are getting adjustments. At the same time, Scandinavian teams are getting weaker IMO, while they are still seen as firm favourites. The same goes for club matches. Simple H2H stats prove the odds don't match results.

Enjoy these value odds while they last.

My next pick is... surprise, surprise, United to lose again in UCL at Old Trafford. I'll probably find a pick or two in between but this is too good to pass with current odds:
