1041  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Exposing the Energy Mafia: Help Needed in Kyrgyzstan on: June 18, 2023, 11:51:40 PM
So you are basing on unofficial data or probably rumors to catch the cheats?
Assuming you determine the approximate number of ASICs being used, what's your game plan?
Remember this might be corrupt folks that have a lot of money, how will you stop them if they can just buy off any law enforcement officers or judges? Don't you think all the struggle will be in vain?
1042  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How are you storing your Brc-20s? on: June 18, 2023, 10:52:39 PM
Is the Bitcoin discussion thread the right place to talk about Ordinals?
No and No!

Bitcoin discussion should be exclusive for bitcoin and not some tokens that have been introduced to scam newbies. Please move the thread to altcoin discussion or service discussion (altcoins)
1043  Economy / Services / Re: 💸WE BOOST YOUR PROFITS!!💸 on: June 17, 2023, 11:16:40 PM
You tried to sell of stolen content the very first time you learned in this forum, and now all of a sudden you are expecting people to trust you with their money in delivering genuine services? I guess you must think members won't know what you tried to do 2 years earlier

Steeley    2021-07-02    Reference    fairly shady first post in collectibles
wheelz1200    2021-07-02    Reference    Tried to pawn off stolen art as their own. Marking with neg trust so I don't get caught up in a trade with this user in the future. Sketch

Good to see you back  Smiley

Reading what happened, it's sad to know that thing bad on a project you had spent your time on and believed in. Such scenarios happen sporadically here. Hopefully the past lessons will help you avoid potential future disappoints to you and the users.

Cheers.
1045  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [Free tool] Options simulator for BTC on: June 17, 2023, 10:28:14 PM
In other words, it's a testnet trading tool for everstrike.io platform? Does it use real time data? I have been disappointed by some testnet trading platforms in the past.
I have never done options before, it could be a good place to learn the basics. I believe most members here too are not so much into trading options.

I think your thread is best suited for Service Announcements board.
1046  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Want to sell Xaurum (XAUR) for a discount on: June 17, 2023, 09:18:43 PM
i used to use Mercetox back in the day and never got any serious challenge with them. I will check if my account is still on the platform. The pair is still there though with high spread. So you might wanna consider that with your trading partner.

I could help if my account is still active, but what discount are we talking about here, and how would you want the trade to proceed?
I wouldn't want to lose my funds.
1047  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trailing Stop Sell for Profit Taking on: June 16, 2023, 11:43:40 PM
Mine depends on my initial stop loss, which is in most cases at 20%, but I don't like trailing stops
The strategy is good if the market is trending quite well, but I prefer to follow the rules and not wait for the coin to pump to the moon so that I can take the biggest profit. Once my target profit hits, I exit in most cases without thinking twice.
1048  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] Campaign Manager Utility on: June 16, 2023, 10:56:14 PM
Good for campaigns that need a minimum post count per week in order for one to get paid. This would give the campaign manager ahead start on knowing who might not get paid on a given round before he can go ahead to check the post quality of the other accounts that have posts above the minimum.

Also, is it possible to tinker the tool to provide the number of posts made per day?
This can help CMs get accounts that make posts in only 3–2 days per round.
1049  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! 🇸🇻 on: June 11, 2023, 10:49:31 PM
Volcano Energy's mission is to make 🇸🇻 El Salvador the richest nation on earth. #Bitcoin is the new oil and El Salvador will be the Saudi Arabia of bitcoin.

El Salvador is not the only country that is investing in the development of bitcoin mining. Bhutan has been mining bitcoin for several years and recently partnered with Singapore-based Bitdeer Technologies Group to build a 600 megawatt mining farm. Moreover, such close interest of Bhutan in bitcoin became widely known only this year. I think that we can still learn a lot of interesting things about which countries do not yet advertise their active participation in investing in bitcoin and mining it. And here it is important to have time to be among the first in order to get the maximum possible. And the authorities of El Salvador understand this.
Not that I am going to support the previous assertion that El Salvador will be the richest nation on Earth. That's simply speculation, but I want to ask. Did Bhutan make Bitcoin their legal tender, just like El Salvador did?

Did Bhutan buy more Bitcoins from the market as a future investment for the nation, just like El Salvador did?
1050  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The US just banned altcoin trading. on: June 11, 2023, 10:40:11 PM
What he wrote and what actually happened is entirely different. What actually happened is that SEC tried to get hold of a few Cryptocurrencies. They started their own investigation on a few coins like Solana, Cardano and Matic and eventually Coinbase, Robinhood and a few cEX stopped trading these coins therefore US has indirectly stopped people from trading Cryptos.
So in your words, Bitcoin, Ethereum and the likes are not cryptos?

Op's title is more like a clickbait, and now he has even been permanently banned from the forum. The US didn't ban altcoin trading. SEC is just targeting a few coins/tokens they believe to be securities.
1051  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitzlato seized, alleges $700 mln of illicit funds processed on: June 11, 2023, 09:29:56 PM
If legkodymov was arrested as per the articles, then who the hell just woke up the legkodymov profile and posted the latest update?  Grin
More drama unfolding.
1052  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Scams Bitcoin Mixers List and Services closed on: June 11, 2023, 09:00:26 PM
It looks like there are serious operational issues with [banned mixer]. OP, I saw that you were there, I assume that you are following the development of the situation.
Many complaints about long delays in the withdrawal of funds, and transactions stuck for days.
They do get downtimes, but the good news is they usually work on processing the transactions, though not usually in a quick manner. The newbie accounts registering in the forum just to make complaints and then later on saying that the issue was resolved might be because the only way to get to cryptomixer publically is through their ANN since there is No twitter or Reddit

This was their update this morning

SERVICE IS ACTIVE

Kindly note, we have completely fixed the issue. All delayed transactions are processed. The websites are active for about 10 hours. We keep monitoring. Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Feel free to mix your coins!
1053  Economy / Economics / Re: Money is never enough! on: June 10, 2023, 01:27:01 PM
Money will never be enough to someone who is greedy. Money and Power corrupts even the once good individuals if they let greed creep into their souls. I think we have so many examples of such individuals, both past and present.
They say money is a root of all evil, I say greed for money is a root of all evil
1054  Other / Meta / Re: TalkImg.com - Image hosting for BitcoinTalk on: June 06, 2023, 11:56:03 PM
How are you trying to access the site?
I tried visiting and image link and also visiting the default domain. It would load endlessly until a timeout error would appear. But I realized the problem might be from my ISP after all. For some reason, it's probably blocking the site, something it wasn't doing yesterday or a few days back. When I used the VPN, it now loads without any issues. Thanks.
1055  Other / Meta / Re: TalkImg.com - Image hosting for BitcoinTalk on: June 06, 2023, 10:44:54 PM
Can somebody please help and confirm to me if the site talkimg.com is not loading.
I have tried different browser but still no response. It's the first time I am experiencing this, so I am feeling it's not my Internet service provider messing things up since I am even able to stream without any buffering.
1056  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Atomic Wallet hacker sends crypto to mixer used by Lazarus Group: Elliptic on: June 06, 2023, 01:39:45 PM
anyway, I am curious, I haven't really read up on the atomic wallet hack, but how was it really hacked? I mean, did the hackers find a vulnerability in their system(or something) that gave them access to a bunch of atomic wallets or what?
They keep dodging the bullet whenever they are asked about this, claiming that they are investigation, but the hack could be arsing from a vulnerability in the wallet software or perhaps an insider job.

The question is, will the atomic wallet users get their money back because just a portion of that fund is traced to a mixer what about those that have been filtered into various other coins and currencies, I guest there is no form of insurance to cover this and is going to take a long time and process trying to get the mixed bitcoin back even if the mixers the hackers used is cracked down which is not something that can easily come by.
They have 2 full paragraphs about this in their terms of service, and they are even in UPPER CASE  Grin. It will be interesting to see how they will handle this issue.

Didn't you read the article?
Of course i read it even before today, you think I am dumb enough to comment without reading?

It clearly said that Sinbad was involved in the laundering of millions of dollars for the hacker group.

This is why I exactly gave you the example of the dollar but looks like you don't even get any point. If Sinbad was involved in the laundering of millions of dollars for the hacker group. Then shouldn't you be crucifying your glorious financial institutions, fiat currencies as well that have "facilitated" money laundering for decades?

Besides, Bestmixer was seized, Bitblender stopped operation, Chipmixer was seized. Did any signature participant here die or suffer damages as a result?
You make it look like it's going to be some sort of dooms day, lol. I guess according to you, they must be shitting in their pants right now.

Why would I have a mixed feelings with the dollar? It's not the currency that I use although I know how influential it is to my local currency.
Bingo

Quote
The way I see it, they're difference is that there's a way to trace the dollar if it's laundered compared to a mixer.
The point is it has been used to launder money before, and it's still being used to this date. How do you think corrupt leaders, Rebels, terrorist move their money in and from fragile states to offshore accounts and Shell corporations?

Don't act big just because I have mixed feelings about mixers by mentioning something unrelated to the topic.
If you don't understand anything. There is no need to feel bad about it.

1057  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: i found 150 BTC on: June 06, 2023, 01:00:47 PM
What does it matter whose wallet it is? After all, I have the dat file. all we have to do is crack the password? if this is possible i will give half of the coins inside the wallet.
It matters because you are wasting time here trying to "crack the password" of the dat file, or are you even too dumb to figure that out?
1058  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin(BTC) vs wrappedBitcoin(wBTC) on: June 06, 2023, 11:21:46 AM
After the ICO shitcoin hype where token creators would take away valuable Bitcoins and Ether from gullible newbies in exchange for tokens of no value, some scammers sat down a thought about tokenizing Bitcoin, DeFi and NFTs and here we are again in yet another scam cycle.

I wish people could open their eyes. Getting wrapped bitcoin in exchange for the valuable real bitcoin is no different to giving a stranger your legitimate fiat notes in exchange for some meaningless clone paper that they claim has an equivalent value to your real fiat notes. I am glad you managed to teach your friend about something value.
1059  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Early Bitcoin Transaction Fees on: June 06, 2023, 09:32:12 AM
This is where most of our problem is. Looking at bitcoin transaction fees in USD value instead of looking at the fee rate. The optimal fee rate varies, but you can choose any fee rate you want depending on how quick you want the transaction to confirm.

Laszlo could have used 1 sat/vB, but he instead chose to use 4,191 sat/vB over paying in transaction fees by 4191 time because in that particular block which contained only his transaction and the coinbase transaction.
1060  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which campaign is better? Bounty campaign or Signature campaign? on: June 06, 2023, 08:16:18 AM
It depends on the kind of marketing team you hire and also your target audience. Back in the day, Bounty campaigns used to a thing with both the projects and bounty campaigners mutual benefiting and then came the cheats, bots and spammers

Lately it just seems completely pointless.

On the other hand, signature campaigns (bitcoin paying) have been doing quite well in the forum. I am talking about Bitcoin projects like crypto casinos, Bitcoin Mixers, Exchanges etc. as they attract quality and high rankling users and not spammers and account farmers. If your target is outside the forum, you will have more creative to reach your audience.
