ckolivas!  please put the option to use CPU mining back in cgminer!    I will donate all my coins!   Many of my friends and I REALLY need this option.

Something smells fishy right here.

Can you say botnet Shocked

I knew that people were selling a version of cgminer branded as "iMiner" with both CPU and GPU mining ability.

Pretty sad thing to steal ckolivas' work and brand it as a botnet miner for $10.

when i try to enable cpu mining i always get this error "[2012-04-17 12:47:23] 2 9: -C: unrecognized option"     same thing happens when i try the --enable-cpu param.    Any suggestions?

Read the included README carefully and with great attention...

I just did.  Can you give me a hint?  a quote maybe? sorry for my noobiness Sad    i just can't figure this out

CPU mining is no longer included.

Does this forum have a facepalm icon Cheesy ?

Did you manage to solve this problem ?

I am on 10.5.8 too ( can't upgrade ATM ) and using litecoind I get the same damn issue.

How did you fix it in the end ?

I did not manage to fix it, I've upgraded to OSX 10.7.3 and installed Bitcoin version 0.6.0.6-beta

There is some compatibility issue or a missing component/lib on 10.5.8

Damn it ! I cannot upgrade, unfortunately Cry

Are you sure it was not because the application could not create its directories ?

Or maybe shall I try copying a library that works over from a newer system onto the older system ?

I would greatly appreciate any input !

heheh damn I have been missing out

I set mine at .00004 weeks ago and have been so busy I have not paid any attention to it

excuse my ignorance but gigavps: how are you determining the exact amount?

thanks Smiley

+1 I'd love to know how people are able to find out the current price.

It is nothing short of Voodoo.

You need to have a feel for the price and smell it from the air Grin

GPUMAX is awesome !

Is there going to be some announcement or was that just a fake rumour ?

Can you have a look at your debug.log file?

You can find that in your home directory under Library/Application Support/Bitcoin

If you have no money in your bitcoin wallet, you can always try deleting that entire directory, so it can be re-initialized...

in my case, it's not even creating the Bitcoin directory, so the only error I can see is what Apple would get if you file a report:

I guess it's linked for 10.6 or later?

1168  Economy / Speculation / Re: A year from now (2013/04/15) on: April 15, 2012, 06:39:28 PM
I am guessing surely over $10 by this time next year.

$10 is almost a given, I think, after the reward drop in December.
1169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin - feature request on: April 15, 2012, 04:16:51 PM
So much for Litecoin !

Epic fail : both blockexplorers are DOWN currently.

Asking for other stuff is already ironical when you don't have the most basic thing : a web block explorer to see balances etc.

I'd say it's just you being a retard.
http://abe.liteco.in/

explorer.liteco.in is down
blockexplorer.sytes.net/chain/Litecoin also down

I never knew about abe.liteco.in ...

My apologies !

1171  Economy / Speculation / Re: [Daily Speculation Poll] :: this time its for real? on: April 14, 2012, 01:37:05 PM
I should say that come Nov when the rewards are halve, the prices of Bitcoins are sure to go up.  Supply down by half, prices 100% up, however it can reach $20

The supply will not be down by half.  Production will be down by half.  The day after the reward halving there will be basically the same number of total bitcoins in supply as there was the day before.

Again, people are underestimating the moral impact this will have.

I am pretty sure that $10 will be easily reached come Xmas 2012 !

For now, I think $8 or $5 is reasonable, seeing as we had $7.2 this year.
1172  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Exporting private keys (dumpprivkey) on: April 13, 2012, 05:06:28 PM
Hey all

I'm trying to export some keys as a safe backup, i'm using an external drive as my datadir and that usually works fine but now i'm running into some trouble.

i'm running:

./bitcoind -datadir=/media/BTC listreceivedbyaddress

it then returns:
error: couldn't connect to server

Am i doing something wrong or how should i go about this?

Yeah seems like the BTC server is not running so first run something like : ./bitcoind -daemon

Then run your command !

Do I get a bounty if it works Cheesy ?
1173  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: PING: Asus ROG Xpander Owners ? on: April 13, 2012, 04:52:15 PM
The 13 cards thing was a joke in case you have not understood that yet.

Also there is a limit of 8 GPUs max for the ATI drivers and also motherboard BIOS allocation problems ( which can be avoided using virtualization but it is an ugly hack ).
1174  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Mining rig extraordinaire - the Trenton BPX6806 18-slot PCIe backplane [PICS] on: April 13, 2012, 02:15:46 PM
Either that, or cut the backplanes and only leave the very top screw mount and the overhang (so it balances on the beam).
This is the part that I want to get fabricated, so I can keep the original brackets for resale. Unless someone wants to sell me a bunch of brackets? They could actually be from any reference card model, as long as it has the 2 screws at the top, since the rest would be getting chopped off.

Damn it !

Now you tell me.

I had like 8 of those things from my 8 reference 5870s and I threw them away Cry
1175  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Cheaper 7970s incoming on: April 13, 2012, 02:09:22 PM
We all knew this was coming after the thrashing that GTX 680 gave to AMD's inferior gaming cards ...

Too bad Nvidia is still forgetting about us and no mining card STILL Cry
1176  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: [105% TESTING] I want your hashing power! "Project #2" on: April 13, 2012, 02:02:02 PM
I get about 0.82% stales.

Is that good ?

What are others getting ?

Thanks !

Little display bug:

I created a new worker, and when I went to get the username for it, the box at the top-right of the page was missing a couple of characters. The username in the URL is correct, but it seems that the box have a display limit that doesn't show everything.

I'm using Opera 11.62.
I see the same in firefox.

Same here with Chrome.
1179  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] A public company will build a huge Bitcoin Mining Operation (ASIC). on: April 12, 2012, 06:53:29 PM
Nice April's Fool Vladimir!

I think this is true.

Nobody will be stupid enough to invest $1 million into something like BTC mining. Not at this uncertain stage with the reward halving, anyway.

Come on, let's be realistic !
1180  Other / Off-topic / Re: I visited BFL, any questions ? on: April 12, 2012, 03:08:23 PM
Trying to order a Mini-Rig, they have sent me very lousy bank details, when I tell them I need SWIFT number and IBAN number for Internatinal transfer, they say the have no idea what these are.

I have doubt about trusting these people now.

Don't worry about it.

Just hand over the money to them.

I am sure they will deliver !!!

Maybe you spoke to the Ninja old lady ( people of her age don't usually know what SWIFT / IBAN is Wink ) so try asking / calling again and ask for Sonny maybe ...
