1181  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fun fact about bitcoin that not everyone knows on: October 23, 2018, 08:12:24 PM
The most interesting fact you posted is the inactive address with 79,957.19633625 BTc.  Just think how many bitcoins have been lost forever because no one thought they would be worth anything.  I'm sure a lot of people with lost keys have had many sleepless nights thinking of the fortunes they lost.  Maybe one day someone can crack the early addresses with quantum computing.
1182  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BAKKT big deal? on: October 23, 2018, 07:46:37 PM
Analyzing the current situation it's obvious what bitcoin needs is some big names behind it. BAAKT brings exactly that. If you search for it thoroughly you will get why BAAKT is the real deal.

Even with all good news the price has been going sideways for a long time.  It looks like more manipulation to keep the price down.  Billions of dollars are being spent on new exchanges, mining farms, and other crypto platforms.  Its clear that bitcoin will reach new all time highs if we just hold and don't panic sell from the FUD.
1183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: My 120 Days In Bounty Hunting & What I have Learnt on: October 23, 2018, 06:10:00 PM
This is good advice but in general bounty hunting is a complete waste of time.  IF your after money you can make much more learning actual skills and getting a job in the real world.   Spammers have been ruining this forum for years because of these "bounties".  Most of them are scams anyways so they end up wasting their time.
1184  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lost $350k / 54 BTC gambling, need help :( on: October 23, 2018, 05:55:19 PM
This might make you feel better. The professional golfer, John Daly, has lost over $50 million gambling throughout his career.  Doesn't this amount make your loss look very small.

No matter how bad our losses are we can always find ways to make more money.  Our situations are never permanent so that is something to be optimistic about.
1185  Economy / Economics / Re: [ASK] How are you going to handle too much debt? on: October 23, 2018, 05:35:05 PM
Bankruptcy is a very good option is the debt becomes overwhelming.  We all make financial mistakes, even Donald trump had to declare bankruptcy of some of his business operations.

I would never recommend going into debt in the first place unless you have a rock solid business plan.  Taking out loans to buy fancy cars or boats is just irresponsible.
1186  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Adaptation for profit. on: October 23, 2018, 05:16:51 PM
Well, two months is a lot of time in the crypto world.  It only took a few months for bitcoin to go from 6k to 20k in the first place.  I predict the total marketcap will be at least doubled by the end of the year.  Right now we are at 205 billion total marketcap, I bet it will be over 400 billion easily.  By the way, don't let the FUD break you.  There are a lot of whales out here buying off the panic sellers.
1187  Economy / Economics / Re: What exactly needed from Crypto Currencies to Drive Positive Economics! on: October 23, 2018, 04:52:12 PM
Cryptocurrencies can't drive positive economic results, because they are just money.
The economy growth is driven by new technologies, adding more resources into the manifacturing industries and optmising the infrastructure. The blockchain might help for economic growth, but the best way to implement it inside our economy is yet to be discovered.

Your correct but the rise of cryptocurrency will put more wealth in the hands of common people.  We may see a lot of new millionaires rise from poor countries that use their new riches to fund infrastructure for economic growth.  Cryptocurrency will create more jobs for exchange services and mining facilities.
1188  Economy / Speculation / Re: At what price will a coin die? on: October 23, 2018, 04:35:32 PM
Bitcoin would still have users even if the priced crashed to $1.   At this point its nearly impossible for bitcoin t odie.  The only possible way is if all electricity on earth gets wiped out and we no longer have power.   The critics that have been calling bitcoin dead for years have always been wrong and will continue to be wrong.
1189  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk bitcoin tweet will leave you swooned. on: October 23, 2018, 04:23:18 PM
I actually think he was serious about buying bitcoin.  A guy as smart as Elon Musk can see how big of an impact cryptocurrency will have on the global market.  This will help spike demand considering how large Musk's fanbase is.  Elon has some of the most loyal fans that do anything he says.  I hope SpaceX and Tesla succeed, Musk seems like he has been under a lot of stress lately and its starting to take a toll on his health.
1190  Economy / Economics / Re: Companies that are scary on: October 20, 2018, 11:23:49 AM
The tech giants are spying on all of us (Amazon, Google, Apple, Facebook).  I don't believe what Zuckerberg said at the hearing, your data is stored even if you delete your facebook account.  The sad thing is most people don't care enough to do anything.  We are all knowingly carrying around spy devices (phones) that track our every move and what we say.
1191  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Addiction Stories! on: October 20, 2018, 11:19:45 AM
I got a friend who can't live without gambling even for a day,he is much older than me and he is working in a company and getting salary to cover his life expenses but he got the desire to be a richer person so he tr gambling everyday and he hoping that someday he will be a millionare but he is just losing all his hard earned money.
The same case is with many people. They want to be rich in short time but it is just their desire and they choose gambling to fulfill their desire. But I want to say that if it was possible everyone would be a gambler now because everyone wants to make money as soon as possible. The result always differs from the expectations and they even lose the money for their daily expenses. Their life conditions become miserable gradually.

Its easy to become rich over a long period of time but who wants to be a millionaire when they are in their 60s.  You can enjoy wealth much more when your younger, thats why a lot of people gamble.  But on the opposite end, there are mega wealthy people that gamble even though they are rich.  I suspect it is juts an adrenaline rush thing, there end goal is not actually the money.
1192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Let's predict, the next bull market, which altcoin will be pumped to the moon on: October 20, 2018, 11:13:09 AM
Some people say that it is xspec, but the holder is too scattered
pudi x? Very high market cap ,how to find dark horse x100?
Talk about your optimistic altcoin and reason
iota xem neo start ,What are the commonalities of these targets?
After the next bull market is completed,Let's go back to this post and see who is the prophet

Every coin in the top 20 pumps when bitcoin goes up.  If your looking for those 100x dark horse coins you have to do a lot of research and have a lot of luck.  I'm sure more projects will do 100x but the problem is finding them.  For every coin that rises that much there will be 10 that fail horribly.  If you are really lookinh for these type of returns make sure you only use a small portion of your funds because there is a lot of risk involved.
1193  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: October 20, 2018, 11:05:56 AM
I'm expecting the Cleveland Cavaliers to be a lottery team again with James.  I don't think the Lakers will able to compete with the Rockets or the Warriors but they should at least make the playoffs.

Anyone else think Seattle deserves an NBA franchise?   Maybe the Clippers or different small market team will end up moving to Seattle if the NBA doesn't expand its number of teams.
1194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is CyberMiles better than Ethereum? Will change e-commerce? on: October 20, 2018, 10:59:07 AM
It's doubtful that they will get anywhere.  Too many small projects are reaching for the sky and setting unrealistic goals.  Ethereum is already huge and is probably the most used cryptocurrency.  This just sounds like hype marketing to get more people to invest their money.  They will ultimately be left holding worthless bags of yet another failed project.
1195  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there an institution that protects the circulation of Bitcoin? on: October 20, 2018, 10:51:18 AM
The circulation amount is already set by the code, it can't be changed without a fork.  This is one of the reason bitcoin continues to grow in value.  While adoption increases the inflation rate becomes lower with each halving.  The miners are the ones that generate the coins but over 70% of them are located in China.
1196  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Drawback of all new cryptocoins!Confusion? on: October 19, 2018, 11:55:08 AM
More coins is actually a good thing because it creates competition and helps bitcoin improve on its features.  Can there be too many companies? Can there be too many restaurants? In the end it will be survival of the fittest and consumers will choose what coin they like to use.  Also its clear that people like to have different choices, there is no reason that a lot of different coins can't succeed.
1197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICOs are not dead, just maturing in a positive way. on: October 19, 2018, 11:35:49 AM
It's very foolish to declare ICOs to be dead.  The crypto hype has gone down a bit but there will always be innovative ideas and new technology that needs funding.  I'm sure there are smart investors doing countless hours of research on new ICOs while most of the crypto investors are whining about the current prices.
1198  Economy / Economics / Re: Curious. At what BTC price would you capitulate? on: October 19, 2018, 11:28:38 AM
Its a terrible feeling to watch your investments crash.  But it is an even worse feeling when you sit on the sidelines and watch something skyrocket that you could of invested in.  With that being said, there is too much support at the 6k levels for bitcoin to drop much further.  IF it somehow did drop below 6k again I would just use the opportunity to buy more coins.
1199  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lost $350k / 54 BTC gambling, need help :( on: October 19, 2018, 11:19:12 AM
I'm saddened to hear you lost quite a few bitcoins gambling.  At least you were able to cut your losses before you lost everything.   One of the worst mistakes a gambler can do is to keep chasing their losses until they end up broke.

If you still have good health and a loving family your already rich.  The money can be fun but without health and relationships it really doesn't mean much.  Be grateful for what you have and don't take anything for granted.
1200  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin get to $10,000 this year again? on: October 16, 2018, 11:40:48 AM
I think the bitcoin will at least reach $15,000 by the end of this year.  A lot of big investors want to buy coins in anticipation of the next halving.  Bitcoin inflation will be decreasing and value will only be rising. It only took a few months last year for bitcoin to soar to 20k and there is no reason it won't happen again this year.
