1221  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: June 02, 2023, 05:16:48 PM
of course both teams will try to win and Inter have history in the Champions League while Manchester City do not.
Inter's history in the CL would not matter in this game, City have been coming very close in recent years and i think their time has finally come to get the trophy, tbh i can't see the possibility of Inter beating City, i know it is a final and anything can happen, but i don't think City can lose another CL final after losing to Chelsea a few seasons ago. Having said that, the way City completely destroyed Real Madrid is a clear message that they are going to brush aside any team that comes between them and the CL trophy. It is going to be a historic treble, because they are going to defeat both Manchester United and Inter Milan.

With Harry Maguire they let him go and decide what happens next because he is no longer a priority because of the many blunders that have occurred.
Harry Maguire has to leave the club at the end of this season, it is obvious that he has no place in the team, and Erik ten hag doesn't have him in any of his plans, he should look to move to a smaller club where he can play much more frequently and maybe start playing a little bit better. I am surprised Harry Maguire keeps on getting called up to the England squad, i guess Gareth Southgate is happy with how he plays for England. Grin

Having said that, in another news Rafael Leao has signed a new contract with AC Milan, thus he'd be in the club until 2028, except something happens along the way and he has to leave, this decision would surely make the AC Milan ultras happy, there were quite a lot of big clubs monitoring Rafeal Leao's situation, but he has made his mind up to stay.
1223  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: June 02, 2023, 04:07:31 PM
Sean Dyche successfully saved Everton from the relegation zone, I think he is a suitable coach for Everton for next season, although I also want another coach which is more experienced. But Sean after all, is capable enough to manage Everton, and we have to give him more time. The reason is, also he is only half a season at Everton.
The problem with Everton isn't the manager, the club is basically run in a pretty terrible way, last season they were also in a relegation battle, but they survived it with Frank Lampard as their coach, this season they found themselves in exactly the same situation and they were saved again with Sean Dyche as their manager. If the hierarchy at the club don't do something to ensure that the club come out of this bad situation that they are in now, they will definitey find themselves in another relegation battle next season, and that is notwithstanding who is their manager.

My brodas, shey una sabi sey na dis type of belief make us dey like dis for dis naija so? You see a man wey rob you of your votes and right to vote you still sey you nor get any orda choice than to support am? What happens to rejecting him?
What do you mean by rejecting him? The reality be say na Tinubu be the president of the federal republic of Nigeria, even if you live in denial for the next 4 years, e no go change anything; the election is over, the election process is being challenged in court, so imo the only thing wey person fit do now na to support the new government and wait for the courts verdict. Me i dey vex say my candidate wey be Peter Obi no win, but there's nothing i can do as things stand, i did my own part by casting my vote for him and defending it as well.
1225  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What should you look for in a DEX? on: June 02, 2023, 12:32:11 PM
This site: https://kycnot.me/ helps you to select decentralized exchanges, you can read about the service you want to use and their features. If you are looking for a decentralized exchange, it is because you want one that would never request KYC from you, and you'll always trade without submitting any personal data to them.

Bisq is fully decentralized, in the 'about' section of the site above, they have different KYC levels: https://kycnot.me/about, Bisq is a 10/10 because it is at KYC level: 0, meaning the exchange makes it clear that they would never ask for KYC: https://kycnot.me/exchange/bisq, thus it is the best option for p2p trading.
1226  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Danger of posting your bitcoin address online on: June 02, 2023, 12:16:52 PM
Since all addresses are immediately visible on the blockchain, we can see any of them. If there were any direct danger because of this, then the owners of the largest amounts in bitcoins would have faced it long ago.
All addresses are not immediately visible on the blockchain, the blockchain shows all the transactions that has been made in the network, thus an address must have sent or received funds (and "change") to show on the blockchain.
But for bitcoin, nothing will be revealed relating to you by merely seeing your address. It is again good to use non-custodial wallet for keeping your bitcoin safe and own total right to it.
Mind you that you cannot lose your Bitcoin via your address, the only downside with sharing your address is that of loss of privacy. If you use an address that isn't linked to your identity, people can of course see your transactions with the address on the blockchain, but they can't know the real person who uses the address. But an address that is connected to you can reveal your true identity, for example if you use a centralized exchange like binance that holds your personal data, if there is a data leak, people can trace and link true identities with your address because they now have your personal data; this is the reason why KYC is somewhat dangerous/risky.
1227  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria and the new government on: June 02, 2023, 05:58:30 AM
But sha, this fuel subsidy removal by the new president, at dis time no de favourable to the masses at all, long queues for filling stations with high prices, the effect go be inflation because e go cause prices of everything to go up, thereby devaluing the naira. Even though say we no need de subsidy, the president for first put measures in place so the people no go de suffer like this.
E no get anytime wey dem go remove fuel subsidy wey people no go complain, na so e be, and removal of fuel subsidy must cause hike in the price of fuel, but that one na just for the short term, we have to look at the long term benefit. Nigeria they budget trillions of Naira to pay for fuel subsidy, me and you know say no be all that money dey go into paying for the subsidy, plenty still dey enter some people pocket, the money wey Naija dey budget for subsidy too much, and e dy affect the budget for other sectors of the economy.

Having said that, the downstream sector dey somehow decentralized now, private companies go fit come in and competition go come dey, i am in support of this deregulation, but that is if the government do everything right, and make sure say dem concentrate on other sectors of the economy, wey go increase minimum wage and create more jobs.
1228  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: June 02, 2023, 04:58:35 AM
Inter has a strong champion mentality, while Man City boasts a lineup of top players from around the world in various positions. Man City's ambition is also strong, and they are even supported by the world's best coach. I see better chances for Man City than Inter, which is why I believe that Man City will perform better in the upcoming final match in a few days.
It is obvious that City play better football than Inter Milan, and City are definitely the favorites for the final on the 10th, but i am pretty sure Pep Guardiola would not allow the idea of being the favorites get into the head of his players, they still have to go there and actually put up a fantastic performance to win the trophy. Having said that, before the CL final, City would play Manchester United in the FA Cup final, if they win that game and get their second trophy of the season, then the momentum and determination to get the third, which is the CL, would increase, a historic treble awaits City and i am pretty sure their players are so experienced not to throw it away.
1229  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 01, 2023, 09:08:50 PM
According to rumors, Real Madrid will go for Lautaro Martinez for the after Benzema.

He is playing at Inter Milan the price could be 120m €
120m for Lautaro Martinez would be an utter joke, he isn't even worth half of that money, the Argentine is a decent player, but he isn't worth anything close to that; i also don't know the source of this info, but reliable sources haven't reported this story today. Having said that, Benzema hasn't decided yet on his future, there is a huge and tempting bid for him from Saudi Arabia, and imo he would take it; he has won all there is to win, including the Ballon d'or award, it's prolly time for him to go and make more money and enjoy football in a less competitive league.
1230  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria and the new government on: June 01, 2023, 07:02:53 PM
I no support Tinubu, neither did i want him to win, but as e be so election don finish, so i just have to support the new president and the new government, wishing them evil no go help me, so i have to wish this new administration success and to pray for them to make Nigeria proud.

Having said that, the removal of fuel subsidy isn't a bad thing, no be today wey we don dey hear talks of removal of fuel subsidy, the upper class they use subsidy chop money and to centralize the downstream sector, as them remove so, the government go fit use the funds for other sectors of the economy, wey go lead to economic growth and increase in minimum wage (that is if the government do the right thing). Subsidy removal go also create free market in the downstream sector, competition go dey and in the long run the price of fuel go come down and scarcity no go dey like before.
1231  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: June 01, 2023, 05:51:52 PM
However, I cannot say that Arsenal has been unsuccessful this season because of their performance fall because they have been successful since the beginning of the season. Manchester City has also been successful this year.
Well, Arsenal made progress this season, that's if you compare it to the position they finished last season, but i'd not say they had a successful season, it was a disappointing season for them, they led the way in the EPL table for quite a long time and right at the end they became complacent and threw the title away, that's not success but disappointment.

Having said that, the good thing for Arsenal is that they can build on this season and come back stronger, i am pretty sure Arteta would be working to correct the mistakes they made and how things went wrong for them, so that if they find themselves in that position again, it might be a better outcome; the future is bright for Arsenal, but i don't know how any EPL team is going to stop City.
1232  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is OP? on: June 01, 2023, 04:34:56 PM
It simply an abbreviation for the creator of a thread or post. There is no clear meaning to it. Some could call it the owner or originator of a post. The SMF Patch was done by a member PowerGlove last year
The SMF patch was basically to make the "OP" tag visible beside the username of the OP, so that in any page of the thread, users can easily identify who started the thread. But the abbreviation OP simply means original poster and is used across many online platforms/forums, not just on this forum.
1233  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: May 31, 2023, 10:28:23 PM
Poch is not known for rebuilding and Chelsea needs someone that can manage potential.
Pochettino is a decent manager, but i think Julian Nagelsmann and Luis Enrique were better options, i still wonder why talks between the two of them and Chelsea fell through. Pochettino was manager of Spurs for quite sometime, and i wouldn't deny the fact that i love how he sets his team up to play, and that's in the offensive way, he doesn't sit back and absorb pressure nor park the bus.

Having said that, i don't think Pochettino can lead Chelsea to trophies, they will definitely bounce back to become a decent team, but they aren't going to compete for the EPL title as some people think, their goal next season should be to get themselves back into the CL and prolly win either the Carabao or FA Cup.
1234  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How I accumulate bitcoin as a newbie? on: May 31, 2023, 09:58:30 PM
if you don't have the capability for the hardware wallet you can use the hot wallets temporarily...
If you don't use a hardware wallet, it isn't a must that your next option should be a hot wallet, of course you can still use a software wallet in an airgapped device, this will be your own cold/offline storage and is very safe if you do everything perfectly.
While selecting a wallet,  you should try using the decentralized wallets and exchanges as it is always safer to use them over the centralized ones.
I'm pretty sure you meant non-custodial wallets and decentralized exchanges; that's the appropriate terms.
1235  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: How many times do people earn from their BTC investment? on: May 31, 2023, 08:13:40 PM
E get why we dey always advise people to DYOR (do your own research), and na because only you go fit take the final decision wey concern your investment, Bitcoin na long term investment true true, but e no mean say you no fit make ROI in the short term, just that e require more time and skill to dey study the market, to know when to buy and when to sell quickly.

Having said that, remember say make you no use all your money go buy Bitcoin, no mind people wey dey talk say na get rich quick scheme, no believe them at all, e better say you use DCA strategy take dey buy your Bitcoin, e go help you to accumulate wella and as the price dey move up and down, e no go too affect you.
1236  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I am a newbie on: May 31, 2023, 07:55:51 PM
Bitcoin needs full adoption globally and I in that aspect you could do something by reaching out to people about it in your locality.
I don't think this is a good advice to give to a newbie, OP is relatively new to the Bitcoin network, and they do not know anything about Bitcoin, what OP should be doing right now is garnering Bitcoin knowledge. It is imperative that one understands something properly before educating other people about it, this is important so that one doesn't give out erroneous or dated information. Having said that, nobody should be compelled to talk to people about Bitcoin, it may even be somewhat unsafe to do so, especially for a newbie.
1237  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: May 30, 2023, 09:14:23 PM
Besides that, I think Pep Guardiola has something quite surprising that he will present to Manchester City this season because if he succeeds in bringing Manchester City to a Treble winner this season. And if it comes true it will make pep Guardiola make this season the most perfect season with Manchester city.
If Manchester City do the treble, they would write their name in history and Pep Guardiola would be immortalized by the City fans. Anyway, prior to this season, City have won the EPL title and the FA Cup title multiple times, so the CL is the ultimate goal, and if they get the treble, it would be the most cherished one for the City players and fans. The CL trophy has eluded City for a long time now, though they have been coming close in recent years, but i think this is finally their year to get it, and should City win it, winning it in subsequent seasons would then be a lot easier for them that when they hadn't won it.
1238  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 30, 2023, 08:18:53 PM
Anyway I think Benzema should take up the offer as he is too old for the Real Madrid squad and let Los Blancos look for a replacement next season to fill the void he has left.
These Saudi clubs are on a mission to develop their league by bringing in great players from Europe, i know for now they can only get players' whose times are up in the big stage in Europe, but these Saudi clubs can start from there and prolly in the next few years and with further improvement to the league, they can then allure young and quality players.

Having said that, i don't think Benzema's time in Europe (and Real Madrid) is up, i think he can still play for 1 or 2 years at the very top level, and in Real Madrid also. I don't know if the club prolly has plans to sign a new and young striker this summer, but nonetheless, i expect Benzema to be fully part of their plans for next season.
1239  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 28, 2023, 09:46:08 PM
coach pochettino  is experienced in English premier league, he's taking over a youth team. With his experience he will transform this team to a competitive one.  It will take time and patient to develop this team. Some players has to be sold out, qualifying to champions league should be their target next season
Yeah, they finished in 12th position, thus qualifying for the CL next season should be considered as progress. Chelsea have invested quite a lot of money on players, and i know that some people expect them to compete for the EPL title next season, but it isn't going to happen. Chelsea have players that are individually talented, but they need a coach that can get the best out of them as a team; Pochettino is a good coach, but he has to lower his expectations with the team for now, getting themselves back into the CL should be their priority.
1240  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: May 28, 2023, 08:32:53 AM
With the title decided already, and both the top four and Europa league places decided too, it is the relegation battle that has everybody's attention today. Southampton are already relegated and two out of Leicester City, Everton and Leeds are going to be joining them in the Championship next season, it is going to be a dramatic final day down below the table. It is in Everton's hands, they just need to beat Bournemouth and they have survived relegation, Leeds and Leicester would hope to win and hope Bournemouth do them a favor, goal difference might even come into play today; i can't wait for these games to start.
