1241  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - November on: July 26, 2023, 07:45:30 PM
Tapales has got little to prove and a lot to gain. But that is provided that he could stand against Inoue in the first place. Inoue is still in his prime and there's no stopping this beast of a fighter in his quest to claim belts. While there's a probabilistic chance for Inoue to lose this fight and hand the belt to Tapales, I don't think the latter has what it takes to beat Inoue in a one-on-one knock-off. Tapales best not aim for heights that are still far from his reach else he risks a devastating loss that may upturn his career. Inoue remains undefeated and I don't think someone who's yet to prove himself in the ring and the boxing community's got the chance and the cajones to beat him willy-nillly. Until then we just had to stay hoping that this fight goes through cause even if Tapales doesn't have anything of substance to prove in his name, it's still going to be interesting to see how Inoue takes all his fight with known and obscure fighters.
1242  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Other Things You Can Bet on Aside Sports and Casino Games on: July 25, 2023, 11:00:14 PM
Some of these are just waste of time IMO. I don't think people are really going out of their way to bet on these events in hopes of making money. Some people do, but only for the heck of it and not in the purpose of making money. I would rather bet it on something that has the possibility to make me money rather than bet on something because I'm curious and I just want to get involved in the fuzz that everyone is getting on about.
I get what you're trying to say and I would agree with it but at the same time I say not every gamble session you make should be "ohh because I want to make more money hurr durr" yeah? These things exist not only because people are stupid and would bet on anything for the hell of it, but also because it actually brings the entertainment side of gambling to the table which is often outshined by the profit part, being one of the biggest reasons why people see gambling as a money-making machine instead of a form of entertainment which in essence is that. So while I believe it's to each his own when it comes to gambling, I say these things are cool too cause there's people who bet on it for one, and they indirectly promote the entertainment side of gambling.
1243  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Other Things You Can Bet on Aside Sports and Casino Games on: July 25, 2023, 10:14:06 PM
Huh, I'm rather curious about the end of the world bet one. Wonder if people actually bet on it and how legit is it lmao. And doesn't it make a guaranteed win for the house if the year passes without the world ending or something like that?

On another note, a lot of things can be bet really, OP's list is more of the ridiculous ones (not in a bad way, well maybe except celebrity deaths, now that's just fucked up). I mean, there's usually the presidential elections (or any type depending on your community), Ms Universe and any other types of contest-esque events, usually big scaled ones.
If I'm being honest that's way too dark and kind of fucked up too cause you're basically profiteering the end of everything. And how do you even go about taking your wins lol is it like situational where if things get messed up and we live in a post-apocalyptic world like Fallout you get bottlecaps instead of dollars or something? Lmao that is too intense and stupid too in my opinion. As for celebrity and personality deaths while I know it's fucked up is kind of rampant actually. We had people betting on what year Queen Elizabeth's going to die, in the Philippines they did the same with an old senator who did some deranged shit too like getting his own self ambushed just so the government can issue Martial Law, among others.
1244  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: As a gambler do you have a potential winning amount limit? on: July 25, 2023, 09:50:36 PM
I have heard and read about people gambling because they had no source of income,  a job or they wanted to add gambling as part of their streams of income. Whatever your category the bottom line is that we all gamble to make money though some group claim it's mainly for fun. But who would want to be losing money all in the idea of catching fun!

There are gamblers that don't place their bet not until they have gotten a certain amount as their potential win. Some do this based on their financial challenge with the anticipation that just one win they may get on such amount is a life changer for them.

My main focus on this thread is in this question: as a gambler do you place your bet according to the weight of your financial need or you're always okay with whatever amount that comes out as potential win no matter how small amount?

First off, being financially challenged should've been a cue for people to not gamble anymore. The fact that they are risking losing more money than they can ever earn in exchange for a low prospect of winning more money to solve their problems may work sometimes, but mostly it just drives you to even more financial trouble. Gambling should be done with one thing only in mind which is for entertainment. The moment you start looking at gambling differently, problems will arise and you'd find that you'll lose more money than you can ever work with. I thought this threads for protecting your wins and funds but apparently people have other ideas in mind when you say potential winning amount limit.
1245  Economy / Gambling / Re: what are the best crypto casinos! on: July 25, 2023, 09:33:24 PM
Stake takes the top of the list once again just cause it's one of the best when it comes to providing games with their large roster of playable games and sports that you can bet on, plus the fact that among other casinos that I have played with, the withdrawal process in Stake is so streamlined and easy even with the KYC requirement which doesn't take too much of your time too. So the fact that stake's at the top, while I would agree with, is something that doesn't really surprise me anymore.

What's going on with Sportsbet though, why does it have such a low score on Trustpilot? I know they've experienced a couple of accusations in the past including that one guy who wouldn't relent about Sportsbet withholding his funds and closing his account, and while he's already dealt with, I think he left pretty bad reviews on them through multiple accounts or something (I don't really know how trustpilot works I'm just spitballing here) which may have caused the low trust rating.
1246  Economy / Gambling / Re: Which are best stake alternatives on: July 25, 2023, 08:56:52 PM
Up to you really. But if you wouldn't mind me asking what makes you want to switch casinos in the first place? In my knowledge Stake is one of if not the best casino and gambling platform out there. Plus they're worldwide so reach is not the problem right here. They don't slack off with the games and the customer service too as they provide one of the best roster of games out there for people to enjoy, and they have virtually 24/7 customer service.

If it's just a matter of preference you could find a couple of good casinos out here with active threads so you can jive with their gamblers and all that but I wouldn't really say they are alternatives cause every casino's got their own selling point, and Stake's just that unique.
1247  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: F1 Formula Sports Racing - Sportsbet.io promotions & discussion thread on: July 25, 2023, 08:31:08 PM
There is still no progress on Ferrari side. They are still continuing to make the same simple mistakes. Maybe Hamilton wasted a big chance in Hungary but at least there is a good progress on Mercedes side. McLaren have also become very consistent and strong now of course. Ferrari just can't accept this situation and move on the same now.

Ferrari started to do this every season and it is making them even weaker. Now they are planning to start off with a clean slate when we finish this season. They want to develop their car from scratch I guess but they have started to say this quite often.

I don't trust Ferrari about this anymore until they start to change something for real.
Ferrari did a lot of rookie mistakes that is so unbecoming of them. They'd literally go so far as to start from square one instead of working on their strengths and weaknesses which unironically made them even weaker as you're trying to imply. I don't think they have a stand at getting any more significant wins moving forward if they continue with this trend while the rest of the industry create formulaic decisions that will enable them to bag more wins.

Perhaps a change of driver could make something happen? Cause it's not always just going to be Ferrari's fault in retrospect and perhaps human error plays a role in this one too.
1248  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there an good site for Chinese? on: July 25, 2023, 08:11:59 PM
Isn't gambling made illegal in China? Let alone cryptocurrency? Are you sure you're gonna risk getting caught and facing sentence over few hours of excitement and burning money? You can't use VPNs either cause most casinos as said earlier by the people in here, asks for identification details, and when they find out you're not really living from where your IP address is at you'd for sure get banned. I think the best you can do is go in sanctioned and licensed casinos in your country or Hongkong instead of risking yourself for temporary entertainment.

Piece of advice only, don't take it negatively cause if anything we're just looking out here for you. There are much safer ways for you to go about your gambling aspirations that do not involve breaking the law.
1249  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 5 Bitcoins to never gamble again. Will you take it? on: July 25, 2023, 07:47:12 PM
Depends on what you mean by "gambling" cause anything can be considered gambling. I've seen people consider trading as a form of gambling cause risks are involved and there's a tendency for you to lose your money in the process, if what you mean is I can't gamble as in play games that offer monetary benefits when I win, then for sure!. I don't see any reason why I should not stop with gambling especially if given that ludicrous of an amount in the first place, and with the only caveat being I can't gamble anymore too lol. I've seen people gamble their lives away for as little as 10 bucks, with this amount you're basically set for life in some countries if you were to liquidate it. If you wouldn't and decide to venture into other ways for you to create more money you could basically try real estate and increase your wealth in the process! The whole world's your oyster when you have enough money, so that in exchange for not being able to gamble? Lol that's an easy choice.
1250  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Other Things You Can Bet on Aside Sports and Casino Games on: July 25, 2023, 07:19:48 PM
Ah yes, Gag betting. My favorite kind of gambling. Lol there's no end to what you can bet on if you put your mind on it. Anything with a probabilistic nature can easily pass off as something you can place a bet on. Saw someone place bets on who's going to be the next president, if this senator's going to be impeached, I even saw people betting on when people will die (although this is a bit morbid and is carefully reserved by some to people that are either too old already or just genuine asshats that deserve it). Used to make bets with friends where we would bet on who's going to win more in our gambling sessions which is actually one of the reasons why I got introduced into the gambling world in the first place.
1251  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers Belief on: July 24, 2023, 11:46:11 PM
The hope of a gambler often leads them into situations they often regret upon losing the funds that was meant for something else. Courage to do so without minding the cost is what even makes the gamblers belief in hope much stronger.

OP, you know we can also allot pride and ego to fit very well with hope in this gamblers corner, because the hope of winning must have been spurred from previous wins, and the mind that the cash used for gambling is inexhaustible and sufficient.
Inasmuch as what drives the gambler is different for different folks, hope for some individuals is nothing more of a believe in a better tomorrow and it has been programmed in the subconscious.
It only really manifest because the person has channeled it to focus on gambling.
Sometimes, hope is a poison. When people rely on hope and forget to ground themselves in reality, and in turn they make the most deranged of choices in the name of hope and hoping that the odds will be in their favor, that's when things go sour. It's one thing to be hopeful, it's another to be delusional and think that just because you've been dealt a bad hand 99% of the time, the next try's going to give you the win you need. Life doesn't work like that, if it does then trying would be the biggest business and vocation now.

I hate that OP painted this stupid notion of the addicted gambler's mindset as if it's something to applaud and glorify, people lost lives and money because of this false hope, if you're going to depict hope in it's purest form find a different example lol.
1252  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Abuse ... on: July 24, 2023, 11:19:14 PM
While I would agree with the fact that gambling can definitely be abused by people, I don't agree much with the analogy you made. Tramadol while considered a drug, is way more detrimental to people's lives than gambling in my opinion. There are people who certainly threw their lives away through gambling and I only wish these people make it out of the hell hole they subjected themselves into but not only is tramadol life-disrupting, it's also deadly when used in excess.

I would advocate under the same banner as you since I sorely abhor gambling addiction, but at the same time we gotta paint a clear picture to the people we want to send the message out to so they don't mistake/misinterpret what we're trying to say.
Very well said, but you realize the tramadol analogy is just an analogy after all, I didn't use it wit a mind of trying to compare the drug to gambling or compare gambling to the drug, from what I know, being addicted to gambling could be more dangerous to some people more than being addicted to the drug, and for others, the revise might be the cause, I personally wont come to the conclusion that either addiction to the drug or addiction to gambling is more dangerous, it all depends on the individual involved, at least, I know a gambler who was addicted to gambling for just two years and later ended his life at the beginning of the third year due to a supposed mistake he made, and having been addicted to tramadol in the past myself, I know a lot of  guys who are addicted to the drug for several years now and still alive and kicking.
With that we both agree. I never meant to portray that Tramadol is more destructive than gambling mind you, just that these two things disrupt the person's life in different ways. With regular gambling there's patterns you won't see from people who's drugging themselves with Tramadol, and that's my only concern cause some people may think that these two things incur the same effects to the people which goes great if you want to scare off people from gambling, but bad if you want to make a point.

At the end of the day it still stands, gambling abuse sucks, so does substance abuse. I only wish recovery for people who have subjected themselves in these dire situations.
1253  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you consider moving abroad? on: July 24, 2023, 10:42:40 PM
I understand where you're coming from my friend, after all I was raised in a family where my dad worked abroad too. While I would understand your reservations in the field of language, I would say that's going to be the least of your worries soon as you decide to work abroad. With countries like the USA and UK being outright discriminatory against people who are not of their own race, your biggest dilemma will be how to dodge racism and discrimination, especially during the ever-increasing Asian Hate within the US territory which as the term implies, specifically caters towards discriminating and in some cases even injuring and violating Asian people, that's just one of the stuff you'd have a bigger worry than the language barrier.

Still, I'd say with the economic situations we're in it's better to eat your pride and actually do something to make your life better, which in this case is working abroad.
1254  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think selling your property is better than taking loan? on: July 24, 2023, 09:56:06 PM
I say its better to actually sell than subject yourself to a loan you'd have a hard time paying. For one, the act thereof of taking a loan when you're not even sure if you can pay it back is already a big problem my brother, since not only are you subjecting yourself to bigger financial troubles, you're also ruining your self-image against friends, family, relatives, or basically everyone who trusts you and is on your side. If you think you're not going to be able to pay it on your promised time, worst not even able to pay it at all, then might as well just find other ways to supplant your lack of money, like getting a job or actually selling your appliances like what OP's friend did. Better to inconvenience yourself than bring other people to your dilemma.
1255  Economy / Economics / Re: Fast Transportation Makes Economic Turnover Faster on: July 24, 2023, 09:39:01 PM
I'd say there has to be a balance of cost-effectiveness with travel efficiency for economic turnover to happen. Like for example, while it's certainly great to receive your pizza as soon as possible (which means more money for Domino's or whatever Pizza house you order your food from), it's pretty excessive to use high-power equipment like Jetpacks just to achieve maximum delivery efficiency yeah? Not to mention the ever-increasing price of gas too! I say it's not fast transportation that we really need. What we need is efficient roads and avenues that do not congest. The eradication of Traffic will completely solve the problem that we have with transportation and economic turnover. And how do we solve that? Commuting and Carpooling.
1256  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon musk is for crypto or just for attention to boost Tesla, SpaceX? on: July 24, 2023, 09:08:13 PM
Saw this news a while ago. I must say this is one of the most stupid things he has ever did so far as a belligerent CEO of multiple companies, and he's already one of the most deranged ones out there. Twitter is a multi-billion dollar brand that people painstakingly worked hard for since 2009. Not the mention the amount of acclaim and promotion that it has received over the years. To rebrand twitter for no reason besides "continuity" as all his companies had "X" in their names is just stupid and is going to cost him a lot of money in the long run. He's already bleeding cash in Twitter, and he's seeing a worthy competitor in Threads, instead of aggressively selling the benefits of Twitter over their competitor he chooses to change the brand and all that. Good luck.
1257  Economy / Economics / Re: How to increase profit in business on: July 24, 2023, 08:45:02 PM
The only way you can increase your profit potential as a business owner is to scale up your business. If you continue serving the same demographic, your money will stagnate as every target demographic possess specific spending power. So scaling up to cater to two or more target demographics, while a costly and risky move, is the only surefire way for you to continuously increase the power of your business. It has been done in the past, food providers, alcoholics, even apparel providers took this approach and with a stroke of proper marketing and a fuck-ton of luck, they were able to go big, some even offering franchising opportunities for people who wanted to use the business's name so they don't have to worry about creating competition.
1258  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Deposit limits on: July 24, 2023, 08:18:13 PM
I mean that's the very nature of it anyway, these implements aren't necessarily imposed by the casino upon everyone cause we still have high rollers with a greater capacity for loss and wins, but at the same time they know they need to cater to people who are on the uncontrollable side when they gamble. That's why disclaimers are put where the casino is effectively free of any responsibility if the gambler chooses to disobey the parameters he set for himself in the first place. At the end of the day, it's not the casino who's going to help you with gaining discipline and control over your gambling urges. They may try all they could to make sure that you're not straying too far but the decision will ultimately lie upon your hands. If you can't settle with that then might as well not gamble cause you're effectively relinquishing control just so you can blame someone else.

1259  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Got scamed by Stake on: July 24, 2023, 07:55:39 PM
You misclicked. That's all there is to it. I don't think a million-dollar gambling site like Stake's going to cheap out on customer experience by letting these "bugs" as you put it roam freely on the site. And here I thought you have a serious accusation too lmao. Next time be very careful when you're making bets and don't bet on handicaps if you want to bet on match winner. Plus you're literally asking for money right away and we don't even know who you are. You're literally bullshitting us right now if I'm being honest.

If you have a complaint with Stake, best to put it to their doorstep and refrain from asking people money when we don't owe you anything at all. And if you're that crazy over measly 75 pounds, you might wanna stop gambling altogether as you're definitely not in the right financial disposition I reckon.
