Ooo that rule change could turn out to be a lot more significant than we would imagine. Don't recall Div1 ever having late submissions, has it ever?

I'm always on board. I have always submitted close to deadline when there are games anyway and Tuesday is a routine now for that. So can only blame myself if ever late. No reminders,  that will be interesting ha.

No more easy points either now that Ige has left us...

Just noticed that the next draw's coming soon. Just wanted to quickly post here to let you all know I'm winning the big one with my single lucky ticket Wink

I've won quite a weird few lotteries on crypto in the past with a single ticket -- think 1 in almost 100,000 very early on, for some Doges that I of course wasted away.

You heard it here first!

As I told you at the start of the season.
Piastri is a superb driver, it is one on the S tier.

With Verstappen and Leclerc he was able to win F3 and F2 in 2 consecutive years.

Shame on me for not entrusting him. I think if I sacrificed my EBP and went with Piastri podium I might actually have gotten 2 extra points anyway, and maybe even a bit more as I'd have rearranged the rest behind him. Of course, that's hindsight and easy to look back over my shoulder with regret.

Thanks a lot buddy! I myself am at least as surprised as you guys are, haha. As you know, my knowledge of F1 is still very limited, so I'm more than happy that I was able to win both tips.

Pretty sure such luck won't happen again for me.  Cheesy

I'm praying you're right and you won't have this luck again Wink Have to say, you and Trofo getting Norris in 3rd was inspired.

Hey all! I received $30 in freebets -- honestly not sure what for, pretty certain I didn't win anything in the last few rounds and I must have missed something so thank you haha. Igebotz man, freebets have always been given out in denominations. Be like the rest of us and use them on fantasy accas Wink

LTU_btc: WD on final friendly, don't spend it wisely Wink

Thank you Cro2, jeremypwr and Sportsbet for keeping the last 5 months interesting. Enjoy the break. I'll be prepping my team to face 15 others next season, may their tears line my stadium.

Edit: Of course, thanks for prizes, safely tucked in my wallet Wink
1245  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it important to check addresses for AML before doing transactions with it? on: October 09, 2023, 01:07:25 PM
I haven't met a CEX that checked beyond the last address used to deposit in your account, so I'd be really surprised with that scenario. In fact, even in the most advanced checks I've encountered, usually for Proof of Asset ownership, they ask only to sign from the depositing address to prove it's yours.

No CEX will backtrack farther than that because:
- they don't have the capacity nor ability
- more importantly, because no AML requirement asks for this.

Hello! Bundesliga picks turned out to be really awful, far from even draws, but there you go, we ended with a flourish and hit the last one in Brasil, courtesy Santos. We now breathe for the first time this season in the green zone. Internationals are up next and I'm not really feeling good about any of them given the shyness of bookie markets right now, but I'll take a hit on an Asian team vs almighty Denmark in the upcoming EURO qualifiers, while waiting for other odds to rise.

100 units at Sportsbet on Kazakhstan to WIN vs Denmark @26.30. Other odds: 24. Units advantage: 230

Running advantage after 17 bets: +1457 (+230)
All-time cumulative: +91,407
Running units after 16 bets (2W|14L): +184 (+702)

Wow Piastri podium, kicking myself for not sacrificing my EBP to change picks in him there.

Strong showing as expected from the Brits (sans Hammie) but pretty sure he would have been up there too if Sainz didn't get in the way.

And we thought no crash risk in Qatar, huh?
1248  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: October 08, 2023, 06:07:45 PM
Never thought I'd fin myself saying this but thank god for Arsenal or this Super Sunday would be an all-draw affair.

Watched most of Liverpool and while their defence once more gave the goal away (pundits seem to blame Macallister but I feel like VVD was not entirely blameless?) I guess I should be happy we were pretty neat against a fast pressing team.

Such a shame the int break is here... would have loved to see City on the ropes.

At this point, might as well put money on Samsanova to win Beijing open, huh? Swiatek had a bad outing in the last GS, not sure this is really that meaningful to her (other than money and points, of course).

@buwaytress we are both 2-2 with only last question different. Others all 3, or Igebotz/mv1986 with 2 but 2 answers different, so only us both are in situation where one of us guaranteed to win.  I propose One final 1mbtc sidebet between us for Napoli so loser sends 2 mbtc to friendly winner?

Since I'm giving away money these days, fine, 1 mbtc on the final h2h. Just so I understand correctly, this just means whomever wins owes nothing to the friendly winner, as the loser will pay both stakes to the friendly winner, yeah?
1250  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Odds, units advantage | Sportsbook | +91147 units on: October 08, 2023, 11:29:55 AM
Well KTChampions at least United didn't let Brentford leapfrog them! Why Mbeumo decided to handle the ball for the feekick leading to the goal we'll never know but there you go, football.

Today, the pick of the day is Freiburg who are 19/1 to beat Bayern. The thing is, none of my bookies offer 1x2 (strange) so what I did instead is to spread bets on correct scores of 0:1, 0:2 and 1:2 at 40/1, 35/1, 75/1 respectively. I don't recommend anyone to follow, but that's my workaround this game.

So, 33 units at Sportsbet on each above outcomes, no odds comparison, on Freiburg to WIN vs Bayern @ correct scores 0:1,
0:2, or 1:2.
Bet IDs: 6521a5734149c60001595fcd, 6521a5674149c60001da56ac, 6521a55b4149c60001dad427
We count this as 1 bet.

Then, 100 units at Sportsbet on Santos to WIN vs Palmeiras @10.02. Other odds: 9.10. Units advantage: 92
Bet ID: 651fee5e4149c600012cabf7

Finally, 100 units at Sportsbet on Koln to WIN vs Leverkusen @9.58. Other odds: 9.20. Units advantage: 38
Bet ID: 65214fec4149c60001d2a232

Running advantage after 16 bets: +1227 (+130)
All-time cumulative: +91,177
Running units after 13 bets (1W|12L): -518 (-100)
1251  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Bundesliga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2023/2024 on: October 07, 2023, 08:20:55 PM
I was seconds away from betting against Leipzig but saved myself money tonight (actually saved money lots of places across Europe haha).

Does anyone know the Sportsbet odds for Freiburg tomorrow? Kicktipp showed a massive 19/1 yesterday but the books I'm on have suspended 1x2 since yesterday. Strange? A win for them would be a massive boost to the rest of Bundesliga pretenders.

Mainz have chance tonight to get one step closer to sucking Bo, while Koeln is almost secure to lose in Leverkusen

Scally broke their hearts, a point buys him even more time away but I'm keeping my bets firmly against them.
1252  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: October 07, 2023, 06:26:15 PM
VAR. I always said, I'm not anti-tech, just wary of poor implementation as un_rank says, and in interfering with grey areas. Goals are black and white, ball out of play, contact fouls (since fouls are fouls) but we keep forgetting offside is not black and white and officials now need to determine if players gained advantage to call offside. Hence the ridiculousness of armpit calls and finger pointing calls.

Not to mention how opaque and closed-source VAR tech is. You want to outsource tech, fine, but I'd never outsource a service I can't even inspect.

Back to EPL action, all the favourites won tonight, whimper of an end to the night with 0-0 Palace-Forest showing a single card. Good thing no underdog odds were tempting, or I'd have been heartbroken by United =)
1253  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: EFL English Championship League 2023/2024 on: October 07, 2023, 01:46:34 PM
With so many games all over Europe already in my tickets, I thought I didn't want to add more on there exclusively, instead better to pick a few Championship maybes, right?

So HT live bet on Boro again (I'm refusing to believe their recent good results are a fluke), at over 2/1 I felt was great value given that Sunderland got a man sent off, and they proved me right scoring two soon after restart. Balanced that out with a boring Ipswich win at rather poor value (15/10), so I hope it all works out.

Leicester and Ipswich want daylight between them and playoff spots, so I think a win is "safe". Good luck!

Had a small shiver of regret when I got home just minutes ago, to see EPL matches had already started, then a small wave of relief to see that the Spurs game wasn't in the list, and that I had already set my picks earlier (wow me).

Bowen's been good to me all FPL so he gets the nod from me, along with Salah, who must get a goal in this mini drought. DCL too, even though Everton's the fav.

Just want my 3, last match only had 1, ouch!

First appearance in UCL for 20 years (can't believe I still remember Shearer vs Xavi). Youngest player to start. First US player to make 50 appearances. Feel like it's such an exciting season, pity the Reds aren't in it.

@cryptofrka I feel like 15 average points per round is enough for a prize. 25 for top 5. But only for group stage. I think the huge odds will disappear for KO stages.

@casperBGD I didn't foresee this aspect of Pot B, that current results will force people to change tactics and still allows for multiple strategies. I like it. Pot A you can't really go all out, you just have to hope your scores are exact.

@rohang don't give up. 10 points on Copenhagen gives you even better odds than Galatasaray... almost 10/1 at time of writing. Free tip, for easy 100 points, everyone? Wink

Now for OT:

@slaman29 UL and ECL are pretty big, but probably as cryptofrka says, not enough to get more than the dozen or so diehard gamblers who throw money on nonsense sidebets haha.

English, Spanish, Italian and of course UCL football are easy sells -- everyone watches them, they have all the stars and visibility so sponsors have a clear picture of what to expect. All respect to cricket but if we try to run EL and ECL, we might get similar participants.

A secondary issue, but maybe as important -- if you only knew the amount of work behind the scenes just to get people to pay a nominal fee for a lot more in entertainment and prizes in the regular pools, you might have a better clue too as to why there was almost no UCL pool in recent seasons (they ended up both being big prize pots but that also was down to behind-the-scenes wrangling).

You remember the early seasons of EPL/UCL? Trying to get people in, trying to find sponsors... it's not as easy as it seems without a big prize. Catch 22: No big prize, not a lot of people. Not a lot of people, no big prize.

To some extent, BSFL and Pot B are trying to remedy the situation, trying to create more value, to attract more interest so it's not just a cycle of pool repetitions.

In summary, there must be effort put in, but only a few willing or able to put in that effort. For me personally, these pools are, in part, a labour of love. I feel it was the same for hilarious and EPL, cygan in Bundesliga, Cro2 in BSFL, icopress in FPL, CLS63 for F1, and whoever it is doing paid cricket pools (is there one this year?) haha.

That all said, I'd be happy to support anyone who wants to do those pools, but be prepared to be disappointed at least with your first attempt Wink

I thought only 3 Sprint races this year like the last one but I see that are now 2 more other Sprint races.I honestly am not a big fan of them,I am a classic when it comes to F1 and I don't like this new format compared to the normal qualifying that we have on most races here.

For the Superbru,we have time until before 19 PM European time which is the official time of the qualifying which will be held today,so people should not forget to place their picks before it or they will lose very important vital 2 EBP points at this point of the season.

Have to admit I still haven't wrapped my head around this format. All I can say is I'm just waiting for results to put in picks -- Superbru doesn't even seem to care about Sprint either though so I'm most likely not changing my thoughts for Qatar. But yes, not missing my precious EBPs today, 2 points is the min I need now that I slipped to 9th.

I see some still picking Sainz and Perez in the prediction contest for fastest lap. I'm not moved =D

Thank you for the reminder! kicktipp open on my browser since last night, not even sure why I've not submitted picks yet. I guess after Freiburg's loss last night (to a good Hammers team it should be said) I now wonder if it's wise to continue my undying support for Breisgau Brasilianer.

Kane let me down in UCL, BVB too, should that form carry you think?
1258  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread -- 2023/24 | Qualifiers on: October 06, 2023, 09:38:20 AM
Whelp, my Roma hopes went up in flames. Sheriff also seem to have fallen far from the heady days of beating Real Madrid but the real award goes to West Ham -- as I said before a staple on my tickets for Europa and now 17 games unbeaten in Europe -- breaking the English record held jointly by Spurs, Citeh, Leeds.

Liverpool look all right, struggling really at times but never truly in danger even with some silly errors from McAllister and uncharacteristic nerves from Alisson, but it's typical with a half-half team meant to conserve energy for Prem action.

All-England favourites if the draw favours that?

Man, Jota just sealed the game. That took some sorting out but I do rate these Belgian teams anyway... but really, damn you Marseille. Or is it damn you Brighton? LTU_btc in the lead...

^^cryptopad actually freezes for me on my regular device too whether on Chrome or other browser. I have to use a completely clean browser (no adblock, no script block) to open it. Didn't mention it but since people are having issues, you just need a clean browser with no protecting extensions =)
1260  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread -- 2023/24 | Qualifiers on: October 05, 2023, 06:24:46 PM
I dont know what is with this england teams in europe league and conference. They are really bad in this tournament especially Brighton that just cannot find a way to win. They are losing 2-0 on halftime and i dont see them coming back from this honestly. They are completely different in premier league and in europe.

West Ham hold their own pretty well, a staple for me in UEFA but I have been cautiously stepping my foot off the Brighton gas for a few games now. Purged them from my FPL just before their thrashing by the Villains, and put Marseille on my picks tonight despite their hot/cold indifference in Ligue 1.

They're bottom half in the French farmers' league but they have rich experience at this stage, something I think Brighton are going to require time before they shake off their naivety...
