1261  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: FPGA Information. on: April 02, 2012, 09:36:39 AM
-Depends on board. If it can be used to something else then resela value increases, someone want to buy for other purposes than mining.
-Again, depends on board. For sure you may crack WEP,WPA passwords on every board. On boards with lots of I/Os routed to external connectors (like Icarus) you may develop many useful designs. Simple game console, intelligent home computer, web serwer, router and so on, and on, and on...

BS. BFL and encrypted bitstream = not possible "for sure"

Also, unless they explicitly provide the special WPA cracking bitstream then they are useless.

I don't know how to make my own bitstream and I doubt many of us here do ...
1262  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Radeonvolt - HD5850 reference voltage tweaking and VRM temp. display for Linux on: April 02, 2012, 09:26:31 AM
Any supporters?
4 BTC commited,  2012 ,,, and this issue is getting more and more ridiculous.

I'm one the verge of going back to windows completely.

My sapphire's 5850 do 960mhz on windows and 840mhz under Linux.

As per my understanding this will only do wonders for the 7970s and NOT the 5xxx cards.

I have some 5xxx cards myself so I would LOVE for something better than this crappy software.

Even after modifications to the source code I can not get it to report proper VRM temperatures.

Have not tried voltage adjustments but I bet those don't work as well.
1263  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: X6500 Custom FPGA Miner on: April 01, 2012, 12:26:37 PM
Almost got me a heart attack. A FPGA like that really will change the mining landscape.

Happy now that my GPUs are still going to be humming happily after all.
1264  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Wonder who this solominer is? 88.6.216.9 on: March 31, 2012, 12:35:20 PM
I say there is nothing wrong with this guy.

Nothing wrong with the code, nothing wrong with the protocol, nothing wrong with anything.

Move on folks, the system is perfect ...

You know how they say, if it ain't broke then don't fix it !

Smiley

So this is how BFL got the magic flowing Huh

Why such a big price difference ...
1266  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: mining with 6870 X2 on: March 30, 2012, 09:06:15 PM
This seems pretty interesting.

7990 vs 7970 vs Kepler vs 6870x2 Huh
1267  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: CGMINER GPU FPGA overclock monitor fanspeed GCN RPC linux/windows/osx 2.3.1 on: March 30, 2012, 08:34:52 PM
Wow thanks. If it does nothing at all positive then it's not worth it.

I've been using this for over a month now. Smiley

Code:
#elif defined VECTORS2
uint result = W[117].x ? 0u:W[3].x;
     result = W[117].y ? result:W[3].y;
if (result)
output[FOUND] = output[NFLAG & result] = result;

What advantage does this give for 5xxx cards ?

Can we have it default for the next cgminer ?

Thanks !

I sure hope you guys deleted the .bin files before doing this "testing" with the new kernels / drivers Roll Eyes

Just stating the obvious here Grin
1269  Other / Meta / Re: Should we have an Atlas child forum ? on: March 28, 2012, 10:10:17 PM
I support this !

Move all the Atlas topics to off topic or some obscure forum and don't show them in "recently posted".

1270  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [ Bonus PPS Pool - Still 115% ] - Private Beta OPEN on: March 28, 2012, 04:51:44 PM
UPDATE :

After the next 5 Signups I am closing registration for a while.

At the end of March all users who stopped mining with us will lose access to their BETA accounts in order to make room for new accounts so if you want to retain your BETA account now is the time to start mining again.

You can delete my account but I have approximately 0.012 BTC that have not been paid.

Thanks !

I send you a email response but if you want to resolve this in public then so be it.

You didnt follow the rules, you mined for just a few hours and forfeited the bonus pps for way back in february when you last mined with us.

Everyone is aware and thus far you are the first that forfeited bonus pps earnings even though its so small I have no obligation to pay it out since you agreed to the terms of the pool when you first started to mine and was well aware that you will lose the bonus pps earnings.

Funny thing to say, Clipse.

Last time ( a while ago ) you told me that you did not want to give me 0.012 BTC because the TX would be very big. You told me that I would have to pay the TX fee or something like that or mine more until I have a bigger payout.

Now you are trying to get 0.012 BTC out of me by saying that I somehow forfeited it Huh

So which is it ? You did not want to pay the TX fee OR I forfeited the payment OR you just want to avoid paying me my 0.012 BTC ?

1272  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I believe there is a Hero member who is scamming your money. on: March 27, 2012, 11:24:41 PM
Don't quote me on this but I found Goat pretty flawless.

Always paid out my shares for project #2 and always contesting the BS that BFL people came out with.

I would be really be surprised if he scammed somebody ... since he posted all his information and documents and supposedly works for the Thai gov.

So buy it now prices really are a ripoff then ...

I still hate waiting for the auction and wasting all my day just to get sniped at the last moment Angry
1274  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: GTX 680 numbers on: March 26, 2012, 11:55:17 PM
Frankly we all knew the result will SUCK until some people get off their asses and start developing a Kepler miner.

This should get WAY more than a GTX 580 ...

1275  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: 7990 revealed..... on: March 26, 2012, 11:04:14 PM
Hope this thing hits soon. Bring on the flood of HD 5970s  Cool

Hell no, don't do that. I've spent all I can afford to at the mo on used 5970s, and had to pay prices that were a fair bit higher than I initially budgeted for (most expensive cost me £330). If I have to sell my family into slavery* for my rigs, the rest of you can bloody well too.

*I don't have a family. But if I did...

I think you are lying.

How on earth you got to pay only 330 GBP for a 5970 is beyond me.

Prices are 400 GBP at least Sad

I see 5970s routinely sell on eBay in the US$400 range, both in the US and in the UK. Why on Earth would you pay 400GBPs for a used one?

UK eBay checked just now only buy it now offer for 5970 is 400 GBP.

Maybe eBay only shows me the high priced GPUs Cheesy

But seriously 330 GBP for a 5970 in the UK is a STEAL.

OK. Looks like I have 0.01 incoming so thank you for that.

Still waiting on 0.02. Confirmed on your second website now.

Will post when it is done.

Thank you !

EDIT : 0.03 on the way !

Will try and get some action for you on superpoints as well !

Thanks !

Probably FUD.

Sell all the BTC !
1280  Other / Off-topic / Re: Butterfly Labs - Bitforce Single and Rig Box on: March 26, 2012, 09:58:25 AM
Ufasoft miner will handle litecoins and will handle the BFL single for sure.
Best of luck!

You think BFL can mine LTC using scrypt algorithm ?

What a joke ...

It also supposedly can do loads of medical imaging, Monte Carlo calculations, cook your food, wash your clothes but no bitstream has been provided except for BTC mining which leads me to believe all their industry experience and story that "BTC is just a secondary use of our products" is total BS.

This is clearly a product for BTC mining and not for any other uses since they refuse to provide support.

Since we are on this topic, can it mine SoiledCons too Cheesy
