1261  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Not about to give up hope. on: April 01, 2023, 10:28:34 PM
Am not about to give up hope, so should you.
•What ways have you exercised hope after setbacks or failure?
•What lessons can we learn from your experience?
In this case, giving up is never an option; the cryptocurrency market has been down for more than a year, but the interesting thing is that people are still buying Bitcoin despite the price drop.

Even though many Altcoins have collapsed along the way due to a lack of transparency and some personal issues that result in some people losing money in the process, people who understand the importance of and believe in Bitcoin continue to invest in Bitcoin because they believe it will rise above its ATH again.

The lesson I learned from the current crypto market situation is that there is always a chance for people who missed out on the early stage of investment, to get their investment now.
Quitting is never the best option here. Instead, move forward but with caution. Since we know that there might be unforeseen incidents that are inevitable, so we should be more wise and smart in choosing the path we should take. And that we should focus more on bitcoin seeing its more secure and safer than any other cryptocurrencies in the market. And when it comes to exchanges, learn to avoid centralized ones because if those will also crash in the future, that means our coins too has gone forever also.
1262  Economy / Economics / Re: Should you save, when you are wealthy? on: April 01, 2023, 09:59:35 PM
Definitely yes. Saving is very important most especially if you are very able to save because you have a lot of resources that generate you an income, so saving and safekeeping your funds is very vital. Otherwise, if we never care about saving because we always think wealth and fortune will always be there, so we might end up completely broke because of overspending. And in cases where unforeseen events might happen, then we can’t no longer prepare for it because we never save even a potion of our wealth, and so we end up struggling to earn some funds again.
1263  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 2years of trading! on: April 01, 2023, 09:43:11 PM
i was started trading 2 years ago, and i learned so many things and written some rules and tips that i learned after every trade,
i thought it is helpful to many of other traders, and also so many good quotes are there, read one quotes think understand move to other quote, and follow.
here : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1OsNMJRRp-3qmZA81BuGJyHsCwKsOunWr/view
discipline is most important to trade like a robot, discipline matter more than winrate. I suggest this two books , 1. disciplined trader , 2. trading in the zone , if you can't afford these books then there are so many websites availed to download for free or you can watch summary on youtube 2 times .

Reading will help a lot in trading as you will acquire a lot of knowledge but how about the skills to trade? Certainly, traders need to be exposed and experience what is trading and the realities behind it, so we need to do actual trades so we will know what to do and expect when trading. With enough trading knowledge and experiences, you can always lessen the risk in trading and avoid much losses as well.
1264  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paying bills with digital currency cards, gift cards on: April 01, 2023, 09:24:37 PM
I have only seen this type of application in a teaser. You would go inside the store, and there wouldn't be any other cashier, but you would immediately be recorded by the items you pick up, and it's being counted. It's exciting because I remember it as a concept before.

Can you share OP where you are and where you have encountered this? It makes life simpler and more accessible.
This one would totally be amazing and certainly fast without hassles, but never in my life i have encountered like this. Even in movies, I have not seen like this either. So tell me OP, where have you seen something like this? I think if things are just easy like these, life would be peaceful, and definitely simpler than ever.
1265  Economy / Economics / Re: How Long in Years Should I Wait Before I Close Down an Unprofitable Business on: March 31, 2023, 09:59:40 PM
How long in years should I go before I give up and close down a business that is unprofitable?

I was listening to a podcast where Kelvin O'Neal1 was featured. He said, "If you are not making money after 36months(3 years), you've gotta take a behind the barn and shoot it. It's just a hobby. It's not a business."

According to him, "people can get so stuck on a bad idea that they just keep thinking that if I keep working on it, it's going to fix itself. It doesn't fix itself. It was put on your journey to teach you, what not to do."

- To what extent do you agree or disagree with this assertion ?

-Have you had a business that even though it wasn't profitable in the first three (3) years, then it  kicked off to bring in good returns in the fourth (4th) year?

Probably, if the business never works from the start, then it’s hard to expect that it will still be profitable in the next months or years. However, if you change your strategy on handling the business, might as well that it may start working. This has happened to some businesses, at first there was seen no progress, but when there was a change of management, it started to work and prosper. But there might be some exception too. Like in business that was never in demand, or it’s not position wherein consumers are highly accessible, then mostly business like that will never make any chance to be profitable.
1266  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Skill Based Slot Machines on: March 31, 2023, 09:28:40 PM
They have the name Skill added to it but I don't see any skill can be applied on the slot to win the game, its just another round of spin so the chance matters here so its still zero skill and pure luck when it comes to slot. I think they use it to trick players by giving an extra round where the results are still going to be random and no skill to be applied with it.
There's no skill involved when you do pull out that level or pushing that roll button on which there's no way that you could be able to apply any strategy into it.This is why its not really that something possible to have this kind of skill based slot machine. If ever there's one would be created then i would be curious on how it would really be applied and it would be somewhat interesting if ever this one is possible.
I cant really think off on how this thing could really be that possible considering that slots are code generated and each roll is really something that it is really that totally random.
There's no way you could apply any tactics or ways on increasing your winning chance.
In the end, slots are still games of chance and luck. If ever there will be slot games that will be skill-based in the future, then maybe that’s something that we should look forward to but I can’t imagine as to how it will be possible. Slot games have nothing to do with skills, but if you can have the best luck when playing, you can always have the chance to increase your profits while increasing your chances of winning.
1267  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you feel bad while paying with BTC? on: March 31, 2023, 08:40:25 PM
Hello everyone!
Recently I was thinking about BTC payments and I believe that the system is moving towards bitcoin adoption and paying with bitcoin. And it's great!

But the problem for me is that anytime I think about paying with BTC I feel somehow uncomfortable. I always remember the guy who spent 30+ bitcoins on pizza and now these bitcoins are worth a fortune. Like I don't want to be this guy and pay with an asset that WILL go up in price. It feels like you paying more for the product from a future perspective.

What are your thoughts about this? Personally, I usually try to buy with stablecoins if I have some, it just feels more natural for me. I don't want to touch my BTC while the market is still bad.
If you feel uncomfortable spending your btc, then just hold it. Spend it only in case of emergency or when your funds are not enough to pay so spending a portion of your btc is quite reasonable. I guess you are not alone as most of us here are still hesitant to spend our hard-earned coins but if spending could contribute to faster adoption for bitcoin, then we should ought to spend a portion of our hodlings so we can do our part too. After all, bitcoin is not just a sole investment but certainly designed to be a good currency.
1268  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Neymar Loses €1M in Casino in Just an Hour on: March 31, 2023, 07:35:42 PM
Liberty means that anyone can do whatever they want as long as they are not hurting other people. Neymar didn't gamble with anyone's money, he didn't lose anyone else's money, he didn't broadcasted it so that addicted people should watch, he didn't force anyone to watch, and he didn't lose on purpose to make others feel better about their loss neither.

It was his own money, his on computer, his on webcam, his own twitch channel, if YOU end up watching him and get a bad lesson out of this, that's your fault. You can't claim its unethical just because what he did put a wrong psychological thought into your brain, that's what you did, not him. I believe he has every right to do this as he wants.
With liberty, anyone is free to pursue his own interest or preference in life and I think Neymar is a perfect example for it. So if he lose that huge amount, I think he’s prepared for it, as much as he also wishes to double the amount if he’s lucky enough. Though there might be some regrets, but you know for wealthy man like Neymar, money is only used to enjoy his luxurious lifestyle and sustain whatever he needs to sustain. In the end, as long as Neymar is able to regain whatever he lose, that will be good enough.
1269  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't be greedy – a short goose story on: March 30, 2023, 10:24:41 PM
Though it is an old story, it is always relevant. I first heard and read this story as a child. Greed is bad for everything, not just crypto. It also destroys the soul and life. I've written similar things about scams many times. Only when we are greedy will we be deceived. The majority of hacking incidents are caused by greed. As a result, we must be realistic. To earn cryptocurrency, you should take a straightforward approach. This really isn't a shortcut.
In all aspects, greed always brings out negativity in life. There’s no such people who are always greedy end up successful in life. Yes, they may be profitable at first, but eventually they start losing all their gained profits because of greed. In bitcoin, greed should always be discouraged. Otherwise, if you invest with greed, you might keep on missing the opportunities to make profits, because you are much focused on bigger profits that you wish to achieve from bitcoin.
1270  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What have you got rid of to accumulate Bitcoin on: March 30, 2023, 09:53:18 PM
Some people said that selling off your properties for any reason sake is bad unless its an emergency, well I say, selling some part of my land is an emergency for me to grab some more Bitcoin, I feel like 2023 is going to be an incredible year for Bitcoin investors, I could get some more lands in 2024 or when Bitcoin makes a new ATH, what do you guys think? A stupid decision or a brilliant one? How will you take this?

Also share me what you have sold this year to buy some Bitcoin, we will still be here in 2025 and I can't wait to share my incredible success story on the forum, Bitcoin loading, 100% acquired.

What are you doing to get yours? Let's talk
Investing in bitcoin is good, but you can always invest in it from your hard-earned money, and not from the property that you decided to sell so you can invest in bitcoin. That is a very risky decision mate. If you lose, you may lose your property as well. Good thing I don’t have any property to sell lol, just to invest in bitcoin. I just used my profits from signature campaign and when I already earn good amount, I decided to invest them in bitcoin.

1272  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Josh Taylor vs Teofimo Lopez on: March 27, 2023, 06:06:52 PM
It's obvious Josh Taylor is the one who is the real upper hand in this fight and it would really be a major test for Lopez to get through this guy because this is the fighter you can't show some lazy defense because he will gonna finish you in the early rounds. My prediction here is TKO because we already know how strong Josh Taylor is in this weight division and this fight here is his message for his next opponents in the upper division it means he will go to each one of them and they gonna need to watch out. Hope that he will win easily on this one and will gonna move there fast.
Taylor is certainly the slight favorite here, and Lopez will remain the underdog. And I’m sure a lot would agree to this. Although both have almost the same boxing stat, but seeing how Taylor performs in the ring, I would say he totally got the edge over Lopez, and so Lopez should train hard in preparation for this match so he’ll be capable to beat Taylor even when most of us think that it’s quite impossible. But let’s watch and see then until we see it with our own two eyes as who will dominate inside the ring.
1273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Nghitumbwa (May 3) on: March 27, 2023, 05:03:41 PM
This may not be an exciting fight, but at least we'll get to see Casimero in action again. By keeping himself active, he'll be ready for bigger fights in the future. Although his opponent's record isn't scary, Casimero still needs to work hard in training and should not underestimate him. As we all know, upsets can happen anytime in boxing.

Hopefully, his next fight will be a championship fight. Let's watch this!

By the way, where will this fight be held?
This is the first time to hear Casimero opponent’s name since I have never seen him in any boxing matches. Though his boxing stat is never impressive, but we should not underestimate him as a professional boxer. He might have the speed and power in boxing, no one knows. But to think that Casimero is a dangerous and powerful boxer, my vote is for him. Let’s see by then who will be the last man standing in the ring, would it be Casimero or this quite unknown opponent.
1274  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you think about this? on: March 27, 2023, 04:14:07 PM
The pastor shut down his ministry, you could say he doesn't want anyone questioning his gambling adventure that resulted in him winning more than half a million USD so it's best to just shutdown.  He also confessed he wasn't really called to preach lord's work. He just did it for money.  Embarrassed

We're all guilty of something, I would still forgive the guy even for wagering the money that is from the congregation. Hope he donates some to the church he once with.
The pastor is just being reasonable when he shut down his church because he knows exactly that he cannot serve two masters at a time, regardless if he’s a real pastor or not. And he knows for sure that it’s unethical to see religious leaders addicted in gambling, so he decided to gamble instead than to continue deceiving the people around. Well, for me his action might be dishonorable, but we know its for the good. Than to keep on hiding his real identity and continue to commit heavy sin.
1275  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The future of CBDC in gambling. on: March 27, 2023, 03:26:45 PM
I don't really see how CBDC are a game changer. Online crypto casino should stick to legit projects like BTC, ETH, DOGE, LTC etc... They have already proven themselves and they work just fine. Just don't do any business with the govs and let them implode.
CBDC can be a game changer if the government ban the whole stable coin, the worst case they ban all cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin. If the government force their citizens to use CBDC, we have no option because we can't reject it, especially if there's no cash is used anymore.

However I'm not supporting CBDC and I just hope the government will not ban all cryptocurrencies because it will create a huge panic.
This could be possible as the government will certainly favor CBDC over cryptocurrencies. So if the government will stick to CBDC as the legal tender when it comes to legal gambling casinos, then we have no choice but to follow the rule. However, I don’t see this happening soon, and I’m not actually looking forward to make it happen. Between CBDC and cryptocurrencies, it’s still best to gamble with decentralized ones.
1276  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much these features weigh most when you choose your favorite casino? on: March 27, 2023, 02:49:13 PM
Good help desk
Strong community/ Reputation

Instant deposits & payments
No Kyc
I'll put all of these into priority.

No actual number on it but just as solid reference that I want for most casinos and it's like coming from 8-10 in no particular order. That these features are majority of our concern whenever we go to a casino and have some fun.

We all want a solid community and reputation of a casino as that really makes a gambler confident and worryfree whenever we gamble on them plus having a good and very responsive support.
Good help desk and strong community/reputation are my topmost priority. I think once these two are almost perfect in rate, it just means that the rest that follows are also highly exercised by the casino. So I don’t have to worry whenever I gamble on a highly reputable casino and has a good customer service, these two already guarantee that I am gambling safely and that my money and profits are highly secured from the eyes of the bad people. And when I make sudden complaints, the casino will surely address the problem quickly.
1277  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Referral bonuses are waste of time on: March 26, 2023, 09:59:17 PM
It's a waste of time if your affiliates are not depositing. But if they are playing, then you will get commissions... how come did that became a waste of time?
As what have said before, claiming the reward is extremely easy. No time is wasted.
Exactly. The fact that you will get commission once they decide to enter and play, I think that is already an advantage for you. You can already enjoy a free bet or whatever kind of reward that the casino will credit to you. It will only be wasted if you cannot enjoy the reward. And if you are just playing in a legal casino, you will eventually get those referral bonuses easily, like you can also lose them easily lol.
1278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chasing looses Vs Finding closure: Any difference? on: March 26, 2023, 09:35:31 PM
Chasing losses for closure? That's just a silly justification to me. Any person who thinks that way is already considered a gambling addict in my book and is only finding absurd reasons why he keeps on betting. I can confidently say that there will be no closure even after he manages to get a winning streak. He will still gamble his winnings until he loses again. The cycle continues......
True, totally an absurd mindset. Once you learn to gamble and you develop deep addiction from it, you will never find closure from all your bets, regardless if you win or lose in the process. If you win, you will chase for bigger profits, if you lose, you will still chase to recover your losses. So there’s no closure in gambling, you will never stop gambling unless you decide to from quitting from gambling.
1279  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does your country tax your gambling winnings? on: March 26, 2023, 09:20:31 PM
I live in Australia and we have no taxes on all gambling winnings (lottery, hose racing, sports betting and casinos).
I know the USA has gambling taxes and I think it's ridiculous.
You are risking your own money and if you win you are penalised.
I'm curious as to how many other users have to pay taxes on their winnings.
In our country Philippines, all forms of gambling are being taxable except for those not legalized games. Like for lottery, if your winnings will exceed 10k, they are subject for 20% tax deduction. But below 10k winnings, you can always claim the full amount of what you had won. I guess for me that’s not bad at all, at least you can always give help to the charity.
1280  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stay humble and go your own way (invest in yourself) - the best strategy of 2022 on: March 26, 2023, 08:59:26 PM
Best of all, sticking with your plan. It's easy to have such a list and plan to follow it, but actually following it in the long-term is the harder part. People often underestimate how emotions(fomo, panic, etc) can easily mess up a person's plans.
There are always obstacles that we often met along the way while we are reaching our goals, but if we can stick to the original plan and focus on it, we will sure to succeed particularly in long term investment. Mostly, if we are not strong enough to face different emotions, we suddenly fall and quit, but if we are determined enough to  beat them and stick to the plan, we will always succeed in the long run.
