Thanks for the reminder, cygan. I put my picks in already and I have backed three upsets today.
I wasn't following Bundesliga much but I again like Freiburg win, (bet on that + Doan goal is 6/1). Gladbach's given me a lot of joy in past seasons vs Bayern too, so for no other reason other than psychology, I not only bet on them but put my picks for them too.

Pretty strange to see all WTA seeds still alive on R3 but this is where the cracks start to appear -- pleased I went with all "yes" but you never count chickens in this game. Men's top 2 haven't dropped a set yet! Agree about the sets thing for women, which is what I mentioned earlier. More opportunity for upsets. I actually used to like betting on 3:1 and 3:2 for live men's on the favs but Djoker's been imperious lately. I finally have a football match going my way to give me an advantage, I don't remember the last time such thing happened, I just believed Hacken have been doing very well lately and Aberdeen are the exact opposite of that, so it was just really easy going with Hacken based on my guess, glad it worked out well for me, maybe I can't finally get a win on the board again after almost 2 months without one.
It was always a risk. Haecken scored 1 or 0 goals in their last 10 away games. I think when they scored their second it was 2 from 2 shots on goal vs 5 from Aberdeen at that stage. This was luck in the first half to me. I hate myself for always losing points on those 50-50 questions.
I've generally been 50-50 this season with the 50-50s, but I feel like it's been going the way of the very very slight "lower-seeded" team in even odds. Last round it was Canada over France, this one is Haecken (their odds improved yesterday though).

Ludogorets can't beat Ajax (I fell for that trap last time around) can they? One can argue the three-goal cushion could tempt players to dream complacently and maybe they lose? Nil-nil at half time, temptation to wait this out. The home team should be the favorite here but if we look at the betting market they are more favorite Hacken to qualify and we don't know the reason. I'm not going to take any chances in this match I mean I'm going to ignore who will qualify but I'm interested in the both teams to score option I assume they will do it again like in the first leg because this match is very decisive so both teams will do everything they can. I am attaching a screenshot regarding which team is predicted to qualify, but this is only the bookies prediction we can believe it and we can ignore it.
Strange odds. Since Monday when I first checked, it's been absolute even, and when I looked earlier today, pretty much the same situation. But now, after seeing your post, I see the odds have, indeed, tipped in Haecken's favour. It's my pick actually, but I'm not feeling extra confident here as I'm sure that's just the odds adjusting to market demand. Money must be heavy on the away team. Game's starting!

Yeah Rijeka holds so much last night against Lille, but in the end the tie exit from his hands.
For me Brugge win yesterday was a really big one, because Osasuna in his home its not an easy task to overcome, i know Brugge have more experience playing in europe than Osasuna, but Osasuna still playing in a much more high level league like the spanish one.
I always fancy the Belgians, and I got away with backing Antwerp last night (qualification for UCL) so I have no problem with Brugge again tonight but the odds that caught my eye was for Rapid Wien (which I posted on my thread) -- hugely experienced at this level, no doubt the Italians are probably better but I think they can nick this game. Not to mention they did win the home tie! Still 0-0 now. Everything else is too dangerous for the odds, but I watched Kiev/Besiktas first leg and while it failed to live up to the fire, it was an ok game to see so maybe the return leg gets them more angry.

Re names, best to just use the format First Name initial and Last Name format. e.g. M. Verstappen. And if even that fails, pick is assumed to be losing one, to teach us all a lesson heh.
Pleased to get the PSV point, so am level with jeremypwr -- I note we have different thinking in the majority of the questions, but feeling confident of WTA despite past performances. #nojinx
P.S. Lukaku-Mou, if I saw that coming I might have backed Roma this round.

Forest led by 2 goals inside the first four minutes but gave it all up. That's how it goes, but I'd be looking for value bets all season against them and Chelsea. Took a nice win in Europe with Royal Antwerp at over 5/1 (and accas with Liverpool's next match) but couldn't find time to post that. Instead we dip into Conference football where Fiorentina host Rapid Wien. Away team expects to lose but I think the odds are skewed bdly so presents great value. 100 units at Sportsbet on Rapid Wien to WIN vs Fiorentina @10.90. Other odds 10.20 Units advantage: +70 Running advantage after 5 bets: +429 (+70) All-time cumulative: +90,499 Running units after 4 bets (0W|4L): -400 (-100)

WTA yesses -- I also thought most people would choose that. I know for sure some will drop out but predicting who is a coin toss I was hoping my opponent would take (and he did).
Stay safe Coin_trader. Next time have yr answers ready just to click submit. Igebotz what the hell man, are you trying to run away from me in Div2?
FIBA: I wanted to ask, I didn't really get it but why are some teams playing in two groups? This was the toughest to answer since almost everyone gets 3 more games (right?) but I went simple and picked all the leaders in top 2 each group. How did you guys answer? Oh and great catch on Hernangomez...

Thank you. Your performance on the different betting pools is impressive so far... (Bundesliga + PL) Great feeling to be ahead! Atleast for a single Gameweek Nah, the 1.00 on the "W" column is not a point. Its comparable with the yellow hat on Superbru. It means that you won a Gameweek. Thanks for clarifying to a guy too lazy to read up heh heh. But nah, my maiden Bundesliga good start is false. I predict these days based on anecdotal experience. I watched Freiburg a bit last season and has my fav player there, so I went for wins the way I think they will. My insistence to pick teams I "know" over the wisdom of odds will get to me later on. I sometimes wonder how I'd do if I put in the same research effort I do in BSFL into these pools, but I suspect that leads to overthinking. mainz's next game is also at winless werder bremen. fsv will miss 2 regulars due to injury, Ludovic Ajorque and Maxim Leitsch were injured on the last matchday and are therefore out. another regular may leave mainz today - midfielder Anton Stach will leave the club and most likely sign a new contract with league rivals tsg hoffenheim.
Bremen vs. Mainz is the obvious one: if this game finds a winner, the loser will be fatally demolished for the time being. This makes my heart all warm and fuzzy, in a bad way. I don't want a bleak future for them but this aids my prediction.

You did better than a lot of people for GW3. My points for GW3 was below the average so you actually did well. Why did you captain Nunez when you know that he's currently getting less minutes in the current Liverpool squad? That's a very bold move and risk that paid off nicely.
Maybe the fact that he's no longer on the starting line up has given Nunez time to reflect that if he doesn't start churning out top-tier performances and scoring goals equals less game time.
Nunez + Salah were used heavily to great success in preseason so I honestly thought he'd start -- I guess it eventually will happen so I paid the price for 2 weeks but hope he gets his chance. I'm also rather "uneducated" about other team setups and can only understand more as the season progresses -- I only learnt about Mitrovic and Jimenez switches when watching the games! Nunez still had the highest xG shots last season and if you watch, he is an absolute joy that loves attempting. Haaland's difference was great providers and better finishing but I'm adamant Nunez breaks mould this season. Maddisson also my early season pick to do well, so he stays in my team. I still need a couple more GWs to clear out the mess of my autopick, but I'm ok =)

Hate to say this, and I realise I'm speaking from a certain position of privilege, but you're likely better off honing an actual skill you have and looking to get paid for that work as a professional.
There are, as others point out already, ways you can earn from this forum. And there will always be opportunities to get paid for reviews, menial tasks, as you asked -- but these should never be seen as regular income or indeed, careers.
I'm on a reasonably high-paying signature campaign, but that came with many years of effort and luck (to get the recognition required), and it coincided with what I liked -- using Bitcoin and gambling. Even so, it is hardly enough for a career and serves as a generous supplement for my habits (haha) while, hopefully, giving the brands I promote good visibility and reputational association (that is really what these campaigns pay for),
My actual professional earnings come from what I do for work. I simply work now for crypto companies, get paid in Bitcoin, for my professional services. It's my personal DCA.
In summary: focus on developing yourself, your career, combine it with Bitcoin knowledge, and then get good enough so that crypto-paying companies want to hire you.

So the path to UCL group stage is now clearer. All tonight's favourites progress. Draw happens this Thursday and we know Pots 1 and 2 already, less interesting for me without Liverpool but I'd love to see how group of death will look like. Galatasaray vs Molde tomorrow night. in the first match Galatasaray won 3-2, Icardi scored a beautiful goal. Most probably Galatasaray will win tomorrow and go to the groups.
I was really hoping for a Molde upset here (mainly because they scored 2) but all their effort was too late.

I look at my measly 52 points and take small consolation that it was slightly higher than the 44 average. Kind of bummed my Nunez captain as well as Bowen still couldn't offset the crap City players brought (not to mention Brighton bomb).
I did also have a big transfer penalty (-12) to push out injured players so at least I have a somewhat clean slate. Ready for another Nunez captaincy anyone?

What a god-awful time trying to research on mobile, I swear the FIBA site did its best to not make their tables easy to read. Seeded women at Grand Slams? Expect half to fail before QFs. Sometimes I think their 2-set requirement works against the seeds.
@leea I see you. Near the top in EPL and Serie A. Quietly letting us all blab while you rake in the points. In fact, I think you need 2 draws, not wins, to guarantee promotion as you have a 2 game cushion.
@Harko: slackovic already won the Invincibles. Please don't jinx me =D
@Trofo: Your article reads real relaxed, hides the effort that surely goes into it. Looking forward to seeing more good news for me next week. Tough, tough!

seek3r nice job. I noticed 1.00 in a "W" column, that's not a point, is it?
@mv1986 I needed Mainz to lose to get closer to my bonus points (sacking) but that risk didn't pay off, next game is crucial, I'm yet to consider if it's time to give up on the Mainz dystopia. BVB look really shaky now, am I sensing a loss coming?
Freiburg, Doan;s just getting started, I still believe.

@tokeweed you're thinking this retest holds? I'm waiting (have been) for a supernova dip in global markets to prod Bitcoin into some wild move and it appears Fed hikes are still on the table so I might be waiting till halving. However the current position of the market is the best time to invest from here because if we cross $30000 in the next month there will be a chance of good profit.
More usual nonsense in speculation heh. "Best time to invest" is hardly the conclusion at any current position because "if we cross" we make profit? If we don't then what, is it the worst time to invest? "Good profit" is $30k after a 26k buy-in? Name your price for the best buy-in, show us some trades so we know you at least back yourself.

Not looking good for Lazio and Roma at all, huh, while the rest of the cream are more or less doing the job. Only 2 games in and just three teams have max points (I'd say four but Inter still to play) -- another good run for Napoli? I honestly thought they'd be raided clean but like Juventus, seem to have kept their team intact.
My weird stat: Mourinho can't seem to shake the team's love for the post. Most post hits for 2 seasons, and this season already 3 times. It's a Betbuilder constant if you like streaks.

I like that idea of a reward for most answers across entire "league system". I would also like to see something small go toward someone who gets the only right answer (think it happened once this round, also a few other rounds). Maybe a bonus half point for the league? Or, better still, a tiebreaker if he draws that round (maybe that's too much, but it gives great incentive to try pick wild answers, great risk, great reward).
I know it throws in a spanner into the smooth works but I'm always thinking of "weight" system to reward someone who went against the grain and actually won. 4 rounds left and cls63 will be hoping for better footing. I don't have an easy opponent (not that anyone was easy).
I feel for you, famosos but yeah, it'll happen to everyone at some point. You can lose with 6 and win with 2 if luck goes your way.
edit: I was so busy I forgot to remind about Ironman 2023 (which ended yesterday). A couple of weeks ago, I realised it was really tough to put a good question though. I couldn't find good odds markets, and just so little good coverage. The main problem here I guess is prize money. For the biggest endurance event in the world, with huge preparations to qualify, a measly $350k shared between 30 people!
