Christianity is probably one of the oldest physical proof religions that can be seen in history going all the way back to the beginning.
It sounds like you aren't very familiar with religions... there are plenty of religions older than Christianity... First, there is Judaism... the guys who wrote the old testament... The Old Testament mentions Egyptian religion, as well as many other religions (including worshiping Moloch, my name) There is also Greek, Roman, Celtic, Norse, Pagan, Druid, Zoroastrian, and other things like Plato's "land of forms", etc... tons and tons of religions before Christianity the Bible has no contradictions
That's incorrect, the bible contains hundreds of contradictions Here is a link and an image of the interactive chart: http://bibviz.com/

Islam is the 100% scientific religion.
Care to explain a little deeper with this? I'm guessing he's just the BADlogic of Islam... thinks science proves God, etc...

A statement that he later backed away from. Meanwhile, the drone program that's championed by Obama and his ilk, has killed 90% innocent civilians in some cases. Even intentionally killing a 16-year-old American citizen by blowing up the entire restaurant he was in. Don't worry though, we also blow up our own hostages and those of our allies sometimes as well. In case you're heart is bleeding for those poor souls whose lives were unduly cut short by having red-hot metal fragments inexplicably shred their organs and blast waves crush the skulls of their children before them, fret not, for chairman Sanders fully endorses and pledges to continue the program if elected. A factually correct paraphrasing of Sanders' position would be, "I endorse and pledge to continue the willful killing of innocent civilians, in instances where we have reason to believe that someone who is not very nice might be in that general area". Do you really want a petulant and ill-tempered 74-year-old Communist bum, who thinks it's okay to willfully murder civilians, and who supports the overthrow of a democratically-elected government in Syria -- to have any real power? Or is this simply more feigned outrage? Surely innocent people are just as dead when a "progressive" kills them, right? I mean, communism alone has lead to the death of nearly 100 million people in the last century... 1) You are completely wrong about Sanders... he actually said, "no more wars"... he does not advocate killing anyone Bernie Sanders: "No More Wars"https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Zb0-dROEHcB) This isn't about Obama or drone strikes (which I also disapprove of) iii) I don't care how many times Trump backs away from the stupid shit he says, he still said it... he still meant it... the fact that his advisors told him he needs to write an apology and take it back is meaningless... it's the thought that counts

It takes a god to state something as foolish as the idea that God doesn't exist

Atheism is one of the few religions that allow its members to set themselves up as god, without all the wasted time of making a ritual out of it.
I'm fairly sure Atheism is the only religion where you do not become a god/angel after you die... You continually project the faults of your religion onto atheism https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psychological_projectionPsychological projection is a theory in psychology in which humans defend themselves against their own unpleasant impulses by denying their existence while attributing them to others. For example, a person who is habitually rude may constantly accuse other people of being rude. It can take the form of blame shifting.
According to some research, the projection of one's negative qualities onto others is a common process in everyday life.

I think people like you and especially Islamists need a good scare and to be brought into line, almost everybody on the left have been absolute pussies about standing up to Islamists who want to establish Theocracies in our countries and have stated that is exactly their intention.
1) I am not pro-Islam... not sure where you got that idea B) Are you seriously afraid of Islam setting up a theocracy in America? That could never happen... Christians have been trying for 200 years and failing... what's funny is you never really respond to anyone, you're just sitting there ragetyping and never having a conversation with people or reading their posts properly.
Quit bullshitting... you don't have a point beyond, "Islam is not a race" (self-evident)... I'm not going to argue semantics all week... bring some facts or a logical argument if you want a debate
|
|
|
That's fine then but use that instead of trotting out the bullshit line of Islam is a race you fucking moron, that's the problem that I have
Nobody said Islam was a race... except you... "you fucking moron" You pretend like I said it... so you can attack a straw-man... but I never said Islam was a race... you said that I am simply posting some of the ridiculous things that Trump has said... if you want to interpret them as racist, that's all you brah The man is a troll... like many of his supporters... I see why you like him so much A presidential candidate needs to have a little dignity, self-respect, and respect for "the other" too
|
|
|
Can you morons at least get your ethnicities right if you're going to accuse people of being racist? Islam isn't a race, it's a religion, so fuck off with that bullshit.
Which makes him a bigot... check the thread title moron big·ot ˈbiɡət/ noun noun: bigot; plural noun: bigots
a person who is intolerant toward those holding different opinions. "don't let a few small-minded bigots destroy the good image of the city" synonyms: chauvinist, partisan, sectarian; racist, sexist, homophobe, dogmatist, jingoist
A racist by another name is still a bigot Besides the simple fact that Trump cannot tell one religion from another by outward appearance (and he can't ask because they could simply lie)... Trump wants to profile anyone who looks middle-eastern, which is fucking racist as it gets... he doesn't care about religion, he cares about skin color

I suppose it's better than nothing...
But, the vatican is the wealthiest business on the planet... they have all the money... and they only help 12 people?!?
WTF? Where are your priorities?

http://www.gallup.com/poll/187955/percentage-christians-drifting-down-high.aspxStory Highlights 75% of Americans identify with a Christian religion Christian identification is down from 80% in 2008 5% of Americans identify with a non-Christian religion, little changed PRINCETON, N.J. -- On the eve of Christmas 2015, a review of over 174,000 interviews conducted in 2015 shows that three-quarters of American adults identify with a Christian religion, little changed from 2014, but down from 80% eight years ago. About 5% of Americans identify with a non-Christian religion, while 20% have no formal religious identification, which is up five percentage points since 2008. These results are based on interviews conducted each year since 2008 as part of Gallup Daily tracking. The general trends in the data over this eight-year period are clear: As the percentage of Americans identifying with a Christian religion has decreased, the percentage with no formal religious identification has increased. The small percentage of Americans who identify with a non-Christian religion has been essentially constant over this time period. The downtick in the percentage of the U.S. population identifying as Christian over the past eight years is a continuation of a trend that has been evident for decades. In Gallup surveys in the 1950s, over 90% of the adult population identified as Christian, with only a small percentage claiming no religious identification at all or identifying with a non-Christian religion. Despite these changes, America remains a predominantly Christian nation, and with 94% of those who identify with a religion saying they are Christian. The broad Christian category includes Catholics, Protestants, Mormons and non-denominational Christians. In 2015, 24% of Americans identify as Catholic, 50% as Protestant or as members of another non-Catholic Christian religion, and 2% as Mormon. Christian Percentage Is Lowest Among Young Americans The percentage of Christians is highest among older Americans and decreases with each progressively younger age group. This trend reflects the high number of "nones" -- those without a formal religious identity -- in the younger generations, as well as a higher proportion of non-Christians among them. One key to the future of Christian representation in the U.S. population will be shifts in the religious identification of today's youngest cohorts. Traditionally, Americans have become more likely to identify with a religion as they age through their 30s and 40s and get married and have children. If this pattern does not occur in the same way it has in the past, the percentage of Christians nationwide will likely continue to shrink. Bottom Line America remains a predominantly Christian nation, with three-quarters of all adults identifying with a Christian faith, and with over 90% Christian representation among those who say they are a member of any kind of religion. A major religious trend in the U.S., however, has been the increasing number of Americans who say they do not have a formal religious identification. This expansion has been accompanied by the shrinkage in the number of people who identify as Christian. More than 95% of Americans identified as Christian in the 1950s, and 80% did so as recently as eight years ago. While the 5% of the population who identify with a non-Christian faith is higher than it was decades ago, it has not shown significant change over the past eight years. These data are available in Gallup Analytics. Survey Methods Results for this Gallup poll are based on telephone interviews conducted from 2008-2015 on the Gallup U.S. Daily survey, with random samples of adults, aged 18 and older, living in all 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia. The sample sizes of those interviewed were over 350,000 for the years 2008 through 2012, and over 170,000 for the years 2013 through 2015. The 2015 sample consists of interviews conducted through Dec. 20, 2015. For results based on the total sample of national adults for each year, the margin of sampling error is ±1 percentage point at the 95% confidence level. All reported margins of sampling error include computed design effects for weighting. Each sample of national adults includes both cellphone respondents and landline respondents, with the percentage of each varying across the eight years included in this analysis. Landline and cellular telephone numbers are selected using random-digit-dial methods.

The best religion is obviously the Pastafarianism! I converted about one year ago. We pray the Flying Spaghetti Monster that created us in a moment of drunkenness, it's all based about tolerance. Its origins are in the USA but it's quite popular here in Italy, pastafarians often appear in the national TV https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flying_Spaghetti_Monster(Just jocking, in my opinion there isn't a "best religion") Pastafarians are discriminated against in America... seems the government thinks they are not a real religion... as if the gov gets to decide which religion is fact vs fiction... Pastafarian Denied Rights Because His Beliefs Are ‘Fictional’https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cq2uDo6HHRc

Don't make me ask the Muslims to pray at you... Perhaps some day you will realize the only true God is Allah

You might be surprised, but the Catholics have come a long way in recent years...
They abolished hell from their dogma (they don't tell me I'm going to hell! yay!) The last pope(?) apologized for all the atrocities that Catholics have committed against science and humanity
The pope said it's ok to use condoms (their previous stance against condoms is the primary reason AIDS is so prevalent in Africa)
Now the pope wants to stop being so greedy...
At this rate, he will become an Atheist soon...
As much as I hate religion, the Catholics are becoming the lesser of the evils
