1321  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [BPIP] Bitcointalk Public Information Project [Back in Action] on: March 18, 2023, 11:48:47 PM
I don't know if I have not been so observant in the past but lately there seem to be so many profiles just woken up showing as "inactive" or "archived" several minutes or hours later after posting

Like this user: https://bpip.org/Profile?id=1286231

Is it normal?

1323  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: An honest answer on mining with solar on: March 18, 2023, 11:01:22 PM
The only thing that's possible to run on solar panel in Nigeria is graphic cards, you can build a rig with 6 gpu and they whole rig will only take from 600watt to 750watt depend on the graphic card number,
This would be good advice if Ethereum Proof of work was still there, but we all know that that's now history, which means mining other altcoins will also not bring in the expected necessary profits, at least in this bear market.

Generally, it's a very risky venture and perhaps one that could have an ROI after a very long time. I am thinking by the time one is close to even getting the ROI, the mining gear they have could already be obsolete.
1324  Other / Archival / Re: [ANN] [banned mixer] | Best Bitcoin Mixer | Low fees | Fully automated on: March 18, 2023, 10:44:37 PM
YoMix, how do you feel about what happened to Chipmixer with the FBI seizing their website and putting out an international arrest warrant for the owner? Personally I think it is inevitable that all mixers will have their domains seized and the owners will end up arrested or on the run while an international arrest warrant is on their names.
It's not inevitable. Maybe you are just overreacting or being overly excited that Chipmixer got seized, which I understand is normal.

How many Bitcoin mixers have been seized by Authorities, for example?
I only know two. Bestmixer.io and Chipmixer

We have had so many mixers operating and some have just chosen to end business without anything to do with seizures and arrests.

1325  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Black_Gloves & Crypto Korea ("Native Translations" on Telegram) Scam Accusation on: March 17, 2023, 11:19:59 PM
Sometimes they forget which account handles which language.
In that thread In can see two more alts. ICO BLOG was banned which means other alts should be banned too if they try to evade the ban

Meanwhile, all the alts tagged and flagged

1. Black_Gloves - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;flag=3138
2. Crypto Korea - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;flag=3137
3. koreacrypto - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;flag=3139
1326  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Why we are not seeing a native wallet for .. on: March 17, 2023, 10:54:45 PM
it's good to see a member talking about Eth Pow, it seems like the world have forgotten about the project already,
Most people are into crypto to just make money... it's the bitter truth, so people will always flood to where they think they will make money quick. So probably most of them are not yet convinced about ETHW

How much does it cost to list a coin on the Binance exchange? Probably the projects don't have that much money.
Binance claimed somewhere that they list some projects for free if they pass their strict criteria
1327  Economy / Services / Re: [FULL] ChipMixer Signature Campaign | Sr Member+ on: March 15, 2023, 08:31:22 PM
It’s almost as if maybe this wasn’t the most legal service and perhaps it’s participants were advertising illegal money laundering services for profit. I wonder what sort of punishment one thinks is fair for promoting illegal money laundering schemes? My guess is those doing so will play victims and attack anyone who brings up their promotion of illegal activities for profits.
So is gambling in most Countries. Should we assume you are partly talking about youself?  Cheesy
1328  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Cloudbet account under review for 5 months on: March 14, 2023, 11:56:12 PM
You can complain on the official thread too.
Like they will care  Grin

If they did, they would be active in the forum answwring to different issues in their thread.

I would love OP to post more details about the case with enough evidence that can get us to tag and create a flag against cloudbet's profile here in the forum at least if everything checks out and is true.
1329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ETHW vs ETC mining related questions for clarity on: March 14, 2023, 11:47:48 PM
I am staying with ETHW compared to ETC despite many people clearly favoring ETC at the moment.I think that ETC won't go as high as it was in the last bull run of 179 USD was last time around as it maximum peak. Now ETHW as you say is uncharted territory so I am mining it as I know it is a gamble but it is worth taking as it costs me about 15 dollars a month to mine 10 dollars of ETHW worth,so I don't really care for 5 dollars lost every month while in the next bull run I expect this coin to be at least 200 or more dollars.I agree that it would be nice if more projects and developers jump on this coin, this would immediately give an increase in value but as they say good things come to those who wait.
Time will tell. Sometimes the gamble pays off, other times it doesn't. We will wait and see.

One thing I noticed about cryptos, especially altcoins is that hype is what drives their prices the most. Without hype, the coin prices will stay stagnant or continue dropping. Whatever happens to ETHW in the next few months or years will depend on how hyped up the community will keep up
1330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Loyce addresses for BCH on: March 14, 2023, 11:30:33 PM
Or any code way to gain it?

I talk about thousands of addresses, not single ones.
Talk nicely to @LoyceV

I am pretty sure he could get you some sort of code for free or for fee  Wink instead of going through all this troubles.

1332  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: scam csgo500.com banned account with 1000$ on: March 14, 2023, 10:50:12 PM
Your scam accusation needs a little more, like proof of payment, screenshots of chat logs etc

Right now, you just posted information that anybody else can make up. I know it sucks getting scammed, but I would like you to do it the right way.
Please follow this scam report format if you don't mind --> Scam Report Format (Use it to make scam reports properly)

Avoid this scam casino

what happened??? ive been using this casino for like 8 months.. and i even recommended to friends of mine. No problem so far.
Here is his scam accusation - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5444890.0

But it does not contain the necessary details and proofs. He needs to update his scam accusation to make it believable
1334  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Black_Gloves & Crypto Korea ("Native Translations" on Telegram) Scam Accusation on: March 14, 2023, 10:19:44 PM
Could we please have a list of profiles involved (or connected profiles)? It makes work easy. I read through, but I was a little confused when I was just seeing telegram handles.

I will tag and flag them because what they did is unethical, and they also led to some sort of financial losses to the service that hired them.

1336  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: "UNLOCKING THE POWER OF MERITS: STRATEGIES FOR GROWING YOUR ACCOUNT" on: March 13, 2023, 09:54:42 PM
Your account was registered in 2021, so I suppose you know how the forum operates. "Growing your account" shouldn't even be your primary focus. Reading and gaining more knowledge should be top priority. You can also use what you have to learn about Bitcoin and other things in this forum to help other new members who may ask questions in the future. Merits will just come in naturally.

Once you have earned a merit, you automatically earn the half value of that in sendable merits. With 1 merit you get 0.5 smerit,
Never seen 0.5 smerits, the minimum sMerit one can get is 1. So, 1 merit = 0 merits, 2 merits = 1 merit.
1337  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Aoftware on: March 13, 2023, 01:57:34 PM
Hi all

Is anyone interested in a bot that trades on binance futures paying out 1.2/1.8% daily paid out in Bitcoin or usdt
Paying out 1.2/1.8% daily?

Too good to be true. As far as I know, there is no trading bot or trading strategy that I have a cross that generates guaranteed daily profits. Why do i feel this might turn out to just be some ponzi scheme?
1338  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: No-kyc Derivatives Exchanges on: March 13, 2023, 01:48:03 PM
You don't own actual asset in derivatives,
This is obvious, but the collateral I used is Bitcoin for a Bitcoin inverse perpetual contract, if I make profits, I end up getting my actual Bitcoins and not wBTC

you bet on outcome whether asset will increase or decrease in price. Wbtc is pegged version of btc 'to be used' in ethereum ecosystem.
It's "pegged" to BTC until there comes a time when it's no longer pegged. Haven't you learnt already from the stablecoin dramas that have now started acting unstable?

All of above sites mentioned has actual btc derivatives. You could check it yourselves in minute but ok.
Let me ask you something

If wBTC depegs and price drifts away from the price of actual BTC price. What underlying price of asset do you think your pseudo bitcoin derivative will follow?
1339  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammer in this forum on: March 13, 2023, 01:22:07 PM
This is not a valid analogy. Accounts and trading are not forbidden by the rules.
Really?

But account trading is highly discouraged and can attract tags from DT members because they very well know that people buy and sell accounts for unethical reasons. The practice also encourages account theft. But you just decided to ignore the tags and send the money anyway.

Now I guess you know why the practice is high frowned upon by the community

I was also having problems with the TOR network for a moment when I did a successful update, and I put a custom TOR network on according to the instructions from the app - I also restarted my PC and now everything is running smoothly.
So it's a new fresh day with my PC restarting a fresh, but I am still having the same problem, trying to download installer and Verify signature via the application.

Again it all seems like the download is almost successful, and then it pops up this error

My internet speed is also now good

I guess I will just have to go the manual way.
