1321  Economy / Economics / Re: Is poverty a lack of money? on: July 17, 2023, 02:32:27 PM
I see poverty as the inability to provide what you need. So when people assume that poverty is when you don't have money I don't agree. Now what if you have all you need and you don't require money to buy anything, are you poor? Some people live in communities where everyone lives agrarian life. They have all they need because everything they need to survive is available. Food is on the farm, water available and everybody is happy. Although it was hard during the Covid-19 lockdown many people lived without money. I have also seen many people leaving cities and moving to rural areas to live a natural life.

In summary when you have everything you need to survive and you don't need money, are you poor?
Poverty was born out of a currency-based society, you're basically talking about people who are well-off to provide for themselves, which ironically was still achieved through surprise-surprise, purchase of land for your agrarian argument, and whatever leverage for everything else. Now you might be asking, what of the people who moved to rural areas then? Well they moved cause stuff was cheaper in the countryside, and that once again, was brought about by the argument of money. Funny how you mentioned the COVID-19 Pandemic too, cause that's basically what poor people had to live with for most of their lives, not being able to buy anything and go anywhere, stuck in their dilapidated houses cause they're either unemployed, laid-off, or they couldn't acquire employment for whatever reason. You only think they are able to get by because everyone's in the same boat but honestly speaking, especially in the Philippines the poor people during the pandemic had it worse.

it's fine to think that people could live without money, however, be careful not to discredit the struggles that people who live in poverty face on a daily basis all so you could prove that "poverty is not just about money".
1322  Economy / Economics / Re: Entrepreneurship and women on: July 17, 2023, 02:08:19 PM
I want to start a discussion highlighting some points I read online regarding women as compared to men in entrepreneurship and the chance of success.

Quote

Men and women do not prepare for the launch of their business in the same way. The number one preparatory activity for women is specific training (43.3% versus 31.8% for men). Men are looking for potential clients (45.8%) and writing a business plan (42.5% versus 34.6% for women).

Market research is carried out by about 1/3 of men and 1/4 of women.

Women entrepreneurs are much less experienced than their male counterparts: 37.5% have less than 3 years of experience versus 25.7% of men.

82.5% of women start businesses alone (compared to 69.8% of men)

Men consider that they are more entrepreneurial than women (84.7% of men against 72% of women)

Men have much more confidence in the future than women (48.2% of women vs. 64.7% of men)

Men are clearly more confident in the success of their company than women: 72.4% versus 65.3

There are far more unemployed women than men among entrepreneurs: 25.9% versus 16.9

Women are 3 times less likely than men to have already tried the adventure of creating a business: only 5.3% of women had already created a business against 18.4% of men

As a result of the difficult economic times, do you consider that there will be more women entrepreneurs competing with men in this field which it so looks like they currently dominate?

https://www.intotheminds.com/blog/en/entrepreneurship-differences-women-men/

While I want to be optimistic and say that the hard times temper the best people in the industry. It's worth noting that the odds are stacked against women too. The fact alone that most of them couldn't get the pay grade they deserve let alone be given jobs above clerical work is insane and is something that I see is what causes these people to go unemployed before starting their own business. Plus you also have to take into account that women most of the time are given more house responsibilities than male, which leads them to lose their jobs cause between caring for the house, the husband and the kids, going to work and then starting your own business, they won't have a life to live anymore.

I hope the system changes to be more favorable to everyone who wishes to make a name for themselves but it's misogynistic and capitalistic you couldn't really fight your way through unless you exert every ounce of your strength and will power to your craft.
1323  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People Are Not Nerdy Enough on: July 17, 2023, 01:36:18 PM
Can you really blame them though? The prospect of profit is not enough a reward. People nowadays would much rather receive immediate gratification than delayed ones, which is something that cryptocurrencies are good at. Plus you also have to consider the fact that bitcoin and cryptocurrencies are in hot water right now after the numerous crackdowns that governments from US and beyond are making which definitely do not sit well with the average joe who doesn't know what cryptocurrencies are besides what he can see on the news.

In any case, we're sitting pretty nicely on our little boat right now, Rome wasn't built in a day as one guy in this thread said, proper campaigning and movements are more important than surge of users that are in here for the profit. We need people who would stay, not people who's here during bull runs and then gone as soon as the first sign of dumping comes out.
1324  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When you feels like only draw is your win on Blackjack on: July 17, 2023, 12:38:50 PM
Actually, I'm always experiencing event like this even before but I just decided to post this here to find if other user experience this kind of bullshit bad luck situation. I'm playing on evolution gaming most of the time and I have a game like this which I lose consecutively even if I change table or stay.

I'm still lose or draw whenever I have blackjack or 20 while the dealer hand is 6,5,4,3 and 2. What really surprising is they always get a lower card to get a perfect 21 or 20 to beat me or draw. I'm not telling they are rig but this kind of bad luck is really sucks to experience and make me loss my appetite to gamble more.

I decided to immediately stop my game since I knew that this will continue while my temper will be very bad in long run.

Never really had a bad experience with them when I was playing back then, and even the losses didn't really strike to me as them stacking the odds against me if you know what I'm saying. I would say it's all just in the luck of your draw as well as your strat too. I would highly suggest you lessen changing seats and all that cause blackjack, more than a card game is a game of maths, and you switching seats and all that (at least in my opinion) ruins your best chances at getting the win you want. Plus it even aggravates you cause you're out there thinking you're changing something to give you better odds only for you to be miserably disappointed when it didn't work on your favor.

Or you can take a breather just like what you're trying to do now. That works too.
1325  Economy / Economics / Re: Should I Use Emergency funds or Sell my Assets ? on: July 17, 2023, 12:27:06 PM
Are you holding fiat? Do you not know that if you are holding fiat, it is like your government are scamming you, although it is not a scam, but it is a means to lose money as your fiat money lose value and unable to buy what you can use it to buy before.

Likely you have your emergency money in your local fiat too. You said emergency, which means it should be used for inconveniences time and for emergencies. You supposed to use your emergency money, not that you should sell you property that may increase in value, although I am just saying that because some properties like land, metals, jewelries and many others like that  can increase in value.

It is better not to hold money in your local currency, bitcoin is still not that high, you can buy it instead. Ones the price is high very well and you have gained, you can convert some to dollar or other good foreign currency which are better than many fiat from countries like Venezuela, Lebanon, Sudan, Argentina, Zimbabwe, Turkey and many other countries.
Bro really out here defeating all the financial advisors on the planet lmao. Holding Fiat is a little out there you know, you got to be specific. For instance saving your money in the bank is considered holding fiat, and I dare say saving your money even if it's in fiat form isn't really that bad to be honest. You're also a little idk man. Your emergency funds are called emergency funds for a reason. You don't use them just cause your financial advisor asked you to invest your money on something. It's not money that is meant to be invested or be used to gain profits. It's literally there to be your safety net for when times get rough. I would much rather prefer OP using his assets as those can be reacquired anyway and who's to say he doesn't have assets that are easily recoverable? That way he doesn't have to spend his saving grace just so he can fund his investment? Cause I'd never go out there investing what's supposed to support me if shit hits the fan my guy. I'd much rather sell my other assets instead.
1326  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cz or the Sec who would you support? on: July 16, 2023, 09:40:26 PM
I agree with you OP, Binance has indeed done its part in making sure that all its users feel safe and secure when they use the platform. But at the same time, securities fraud blatantly expressed by one of their founders is no laughing matter too. And even though I hate SEC with every throbbing cell in my body I feel like they are in the right in this one. I don't promote the complete banning of Binance in the US though, at least monetary sanctions at most so people there could use the platform still but at the same time that's very unlikely considering the SEC's going bonkers on banning and barring every crypto-business out there for some reason. Still, time will tell whether Binance will prevail or not. For now we can only hope it sides with what's going to be in the best interest of the people.
1327  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling effects on LGBTQ+ People on: July 16, 2023, 08:59:34 PM
Recently research was held by Dr Reece Bush-Evans who told that online gambling could Hide the sexuality of the LGBTQ+ people and most of these people prefer online gambling as compared to physical gambling for obvious reasons.

The more important concern for the LGBTQ+ people is that they are being treated differently in a casino which may come under harassment. Also, the study says that people at the casino, the staff plus the public have shown discriminatory behavior towards these people.

New Research Explores Effect of Gambling on LGBTQ+ People
I actually didn't think to research this, in fact I think most of the LGBTQ+ people prefer to gamble in online casinos because of the convenience and efficiency they get instead of having to go to a physical casino.
But it seems that people in the casino or the staff are unlikely to be abusive, as it is clearly against the rules and makes no sense at all.
Even so, we shouldn't easily believe in this research because LGBTQ+ are scattered in various countries so their reasons for choosing to play at online casinos have different reasons.
It's not bound to a particular gender group my friend. A lot of us here straight or in the spectrum sees online casinos as convenient alternatives to land casinos. I do think there's a reason why there's quite the propensity over LGBTQ+ people choosing online casinos over land-based ones, it's most likely within the constructs of gender discrimination and all that stuff which forces these people to seclude themselves and choose the option that wouldn't force them to face interactions with bigots and incels (which I might add is quite rampant in the industry sadly). But as things get more progressive and casinos see this group of gender as potential customers, we might see an increase in the number of people who's betting in land-based casinos that are within the spectrum.
1328  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Former Celsius CEO Alex Mashinsky reportedly arrested on: July 16, 2023, 08:21:01 PM

Full doc here:
https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/ftc_gov/pdf/2223137celsiusnetworkorder.pdf

I assume this is in order to freeze any possible assets Celsius might have? Wild guess here!

A company like Celsius with multiple assets like mining, lending, network etc is vulnerable and difficult to control, I think that's one of the reasons they had to go bankrupt. How will they control all the assets mentioned on the doc, it's numerous, if they focused on two; lending and mining it could have been better and easier for them to withstand and trace any pipelined problem. Normally a business will grow, and sooner it'll begin to drop in value, that way Celsius would have been introducing other assets gradually other than managing all of them at a go. It's wild that, while cryptocurrency based businesses are getting penalized, the market keeps going, a sign that only a few of this businesses should be in existence. Because if SEC can't harm cryptocurrency they'll focus mainly on crypto based businesses.
I think the 4.7 billion sanction is more than enough to freeze whatever asset they may have. While Celsius is a big company, they don't really go as big as the titans in the industry like FTX and Binance which holds multi-billion treasuries. So with that being said the government is pretty much able to control whatever remaining stuff they have. While I want to agree with your statement too about the market carrying on despite the fact that SEC's going ham on penalizing these crypto-based businesses left and right, it's pretty much because well, we just moved on and realized that antagonizing them is a big waste of energy and resource, cause if they did ban crypto we can just go elsewhere lmao.
1329  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You must do this if you want to QUIT or NOT on: July 15, 2023, 09:16:01 PM
What I would suggest, and this is coming from a former gambling addict, is to actually stop when you're already contemplating whether you should carry on with your gambling routine or stop it completely. 9 times out of 10 it would always be because you're either exhausted with the gambling setup you're in and you need to take a breather, or you're already discovering certain signs of gambling addiction and these glimpses are giving you some sort of cognitive dissonance, either way the best thing to do is to not actually contemplate a plan which would only lead you to gamble further, but to take a second to think about it, stop gambling for a while, and only come back when you're positive you've already gone past that hurdle.

It's better to quit than to think and be trapped, Gambling isn't something you should just dilly-dally around cause it chips away at your mental with every loss no matter how much you tell me you're only gambling for fun, actually meditating upon your current situation will help even more than thinking about how to go about your next gambling session.
1330  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This is not Practical on: July 15, 2023, 08:35:22 PM
I have heard the advice that you should only use money you can afford to lose for gambling. I say that this is more theoretical than practical. Literally no one has money that they can afford to lose. I feel that money for gambling is a matter of opportunity cost. You either use the money for gambling or use it to meet a need. If using money one can afford to lose were practical there will be no need for articles on having a gambling budget or bank roll management. Hey gamblers my question is to you now is, the money you currently plan to use for gambling is it money that you can afford to lose?
If you think you had no money you could afford to lose, that's all the more reasons you shouldn't gamble in the first place!

You're only speaking for yourself, a lot of us here had enough money to play around with which makes gambling something that we can afford. I'm not poverty-shaming or whatnot but the fact alone that you think no one's able to afford gambling money so we should just go with it anyway tells me that either you're someone who's really incapable of gambling due to your financial situation that you're projecting and supposing as if everyone's in the same boat as you, or you're a chronic gambler who's trying to make sense of things and your logic. You can't make me think otherwise.

1331  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Appropriate percentage of income for gambling on: July 14, 2023, 09:31:01 PM
Good for you if you can live with that kind of setup, but in my honest opinion I'd never go as far as 2% when it comes to filling my bankroll especially if it's on a weekly basis. Suppose your regular weekly salary's around 200 bucks, if you go so far as to put up 5% of your weekly profits just so you can fund your gambling behavior you'd be surprised to find out how much it eats up at your expenses. In my opinion you shouldn't even gamble weekly, only on occasions when you feel like it. You can't just say that you're "gambling for entertainment only" cause if you were, you wouldn't even allocate a part of your pay just so you can fund your gambling habits.

But let's throw that off to the window and talk about the crux of the matter. For me, you could probably get by with just at least 2% of your monthly salary if you're really a dedicated gambler. If you're afraid your bankroll's gonna be so low then I have bad news for you buddy, you're probably addicted.
1332  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What could make you get into a fight with your fellow gambler? on: July 14, 2023, 08:53:04 PM
I heard of a story about two gamblers that got into a serious fight on the grounds that a bet they merged an amount of money equally to place  using the online account of one person among their two. Luckily for them the bet won. But something happened, when it got to the sharing formula of the total amount won the owner of the account  insisted on taking a lion's share since it was his account that was used in placing the bet. The latter refusing to accept it that way they got into a serious fight. How pathetic!

What could make you get into a fight with your fellow gambler? And would you agree at anytime to double cash with your fellow gambler to place a bet using his account, on the notion of increasing the potential win.
Well that for one would definitely spark conflicts between a different gambler and me. Although thanks to my introvert-ass I don't really socialize that much nor go out of my own way to talk to people, let alone persuade them to merge bets with me. It's also possible for me to have an issue with someone when I feel like things are being taken personal. Don't get it wrong I actually love friendly banter within the table especially if it's with my closest circle of friends but they know quite well not to tick my switch on certain topics, else they risk offending me and ruining the table's mood.

If you'd sum it all up it's all a matter of respecting the other person's principles really. If you're positive you'd be a total jackass while you're gambling then I'd suggest you actually gamble alone so you don't risk getting gut punched or something.
1333  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Thoughts On First Time Lottery Bettor Who Won Big Amount? on: July 14, 2023, 08:17:25 PM
I feel indifferent. Here in the Philippines I came across some news back in 2010 of some Overseas Filipino Worker who got back to the Philippines, and out of some funny joke he tried to make a bet on our version of the Powerball. Lo and behold he won if I'm not mistaken around 740 million Pesos back then which in USD was probably around more or less 15 million bucks, and he did it all while being a first time bettor too. I never felt anything about it, didn't feel inspired to take the chance and make the bet in hopes of actually landing the jackpot, never felt envy that he got a little less over a billion pesos just from jotting down a few numbers here and there. I didn't feel proud and happy for him too cause at the end of the day he's not gonna give anyone he doesn't know a piece of the pie.

I don't get why people are stoked about other people winning the lottery, it's one thing to celebrate other people's success but it's another to actually congratulate people who lucked it out, and to top it all off someone that's most likely you never even knew your whole life.
1334  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How real? That football players required to bribe before they are allowed to play on: July 13, 2023, 09:19:31 PM
Hey guys, reading little story on Kylian Mbappe who on Thursday visited Cameroon on a charity with the deaf and other familiarization visit to his father's home town. He spoke with Joseph Dion Ngute, the Cameroon's Prime Minister, he was honoured visiting and I believe this is just like the humanitarian work some influential people do

But one striking revelation was that he would have been a cameroonian player if they weren't asking his father to pay them money before allowing him to play while he still trying to fix his career and French allowed him without payment.

Quote
"At first, I wanted my son to play for Cameroon, but someone at the Cameroonian Football Federation charged me money that I didn't have to make him play," he explained. " The French charged nothing."

I have also heard of some local stories about how some coaches require money from new footballers before they allow them on trier both in their clubs and national teams. Is this happening globally for new players who are still seeking to find a spot in clubs?

Do you think Cameroun miss Mbappe or it is Mbappe that missed Cameroun ?

https://theafricanhistory.com/2975#:~:text=My%20father
This doesn't just happen in Cameroon, this happens in all of soccer for all I know. The whole football scene is like this and they always victimize young talents that just wanted to play a fair game of soccer but couldn't because either their current roster's marketability is great enough that even if they don't win that much they still could get brand deals and make money off the players, or they just win so many games that changing the roster is going to affect their chances at claiming titles.

Either way it's stupid and there have been contingencies set in case something similar happens, otherwise I don't see why they would take in new talents in the first place.

This game is just stupid sometimes man. It's hard to defend it when even the system's rigged against the player.

It doesn't happen globally his father just said the French charge nothing so they stay with the French team. I'm not really familiar with football sports but I can see this is pretty much similar to other sports where players are being pirated by headhunters. Quite a revelation from Mbappe, will the football federation do something about this because someone just went rogue.

But I'm guessing the French team needs good players and they can't just let Mbappe go to some other team. No need to bribe says the captain just let us win.

The fact that an established team is doing this is evidence enough that perhaps, this also happens in other leagues. You already said this happens in other sports, so what makes you think that this only happens in the Cameroonian Team? That's a little bit unreasonable you know. Plus it doesn't change the fact that the Cameroonian team was asking for a bribe before they even let Mbappe play for them. It doesn't matter that the French team who took him up didn't ask him for a bribe. What this signifies in essence is the fact that this type of corruption happens in sports, and it's a little optimistic to assume that only one team in a league filled with hundreds of countries vying for the top spot has ever committed to such act.
1335  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you cheat in gambling? on: July 13, 2023, 08:16:51 PM
~snip~
Trying to cheat a casino cam only be fine when you don't have much money in your account and don't have the plan to stay for a very long time in the casino because it is certain that the person will be ban or account locked as quick as possible. Many of these casinos are always strict and ready to penalize us when we do something contrary to there terms and conditions especially when the person a has some money in there account. It will be unwise for us to try and cheat a casino when we know that the casino can in any ways freeze our account for breaking there team's and conditions.
The sure thing is that the casino will find out about people rigging the casino because the casino has a security team that will keep an eye on all the players. The casino will not let people cheat the casino and will find them easily because the security team has access that we can't even imagine. And if the casino finds it, it will surely punish those who cheat by locking their account or even immediately deleting it. In contrast, the casino will take the balance in their account. So you should never think about cheating the casino because you will pay the price later.
But what if you can get away with it? Because that's what I assume what OP is supposing in this scenario. If you could get away with taking advantage of the casino's bugs and glitches, or mayhaps a sleepy guard and a failed shuffle on a land casino, what would you do with it? Would you still not cheat cause "it's morally incorrect and my ethical standards aren't that low", or are you going to be tempted to cheat cause hey, that's a free win right there staring at you dead in the eye!

It's easy to dodge the dilemma by avoiding the argument and extrapolating the situation by including stuff that's in paper not within the bounds of the question anyway, just so your morality's not judged by the people here. But what matters most is actually providing a sensible answer to OP's questions, which I believe isn't even that hard in the first place.
1336  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Signs that indicate you are not addicted to gambling on: July 13, 2023, 07:28:16 PM
That's too much, the simple way to indicate someone isn't a gambling addict is gamble only for fun and afford to lose.

When a gambler think gambling is for fun, he know how much he need to gamble and not looking for making money, the gambling activity will not harm his life. Different people have different amount that he can afford to lose, even someone can't save his money and use it for gambling, it's not a problem as long as he follow that two rules.
That's a little on the nose but at the same time vague as well. When you gamble for fun it doesn't necessarily mean that you're not tanking losses at the same time even though your mental stability is relatively sound. Losing a significant amount of your bankroll or poorly managing your funds is the surefire way of knowing whether you're addicted or not. You could be "having fun while gambling" and yet you're playing everyday of the week and losing a year's worth of bankroll in a month, and you're considered an addicted gambler.

It's not about the motive or what because we can all have fun and still be deeply stuck in our vices. That's why there's Alcoholics. As I said it's not about the motive, it's about the behavior and how you carry your gambling.
1337  Economy / Gambling / Re: l0tt0.com on: July 12, 2023, 10:20:50 PM
I am visiting l0tt0 website daily to see if there are any changes and I notice something interesting in last updates, this is showing that developer listened to our feedback we posted.

First I thought this is some error or bonus reward from dewez when I saw different email and amount of 0.026 BTC in my account, but then I realized this is maybe just demo account for testing games.
There are several new games added, Lucky 7s and Pick 6, but they cant be played for now and I cant log in my account.
Version on website is now showing 2.0 and it was 2.1 before.

It's interesting to know that the developer is working hard to improve the site, listing more games and giving gamblers a whole new experience, that's very commendable if I should say the least..

I great casino always have a demo version where gamblers can play the games listed on the casino with unreal currency, and like its real, most a times, it even acts as a motivator, many a times I can't even remember, I've ended up playing with real cash when I initially didn't want to, this was after playing on demo version and winning some good amount of money, I decided to try the real version to see if i could emulate the same luck, but unfortunately, it's most times not so, but I am always happy at the end of the day..

So a demo version of any casino is always to the casino's advantage, even if it doesn't seem like so.
I mean that's the reason why demos are made, to show people that what they have is working, and to reel in people as well. Sometimes casinos who offer demos would intentionally skew the win rates for games, just to show people that you can really win, which is what you may have experienced. While in some cases I feel like it's a little exploitative since you're basically abusing first impressions with what you're doing, the fact that a demo game is up and running goes to show that real effort was made into the game, and given enough funding and trust they'd be able to release the real thing soon as possible yeah?

I feel like that's what you think/feel whenever you try out demo games. It's the same thing with me. I always love trying things out.
1338  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Olympic Games, but doping is allowed?! on: July 12, 2023, 08:45:43 PM
So I came across a video on youtube about someone planning on creating a new type of Olympic games called "the Enhanced Games" to rival the Olympic games. In this version of "Olympic games", performance-enhancement drugs that are usually prohibited to be used by the athletes competing in the Olympic Games will be allowed to be used.

the president of "the Enhanced Games" believes that this competition could unlock the athlete's true potential and will obliterate all the world record that has been set in the Olympic games. from what I have read in an article, they are planning on launching this event next year in December.

now, the reason why I post this here is because since a lot of sports bettors here love sports I am curious about what you guys think about it and whether this would be a new sporting event that will be enjoyed by sports betting enthusiasts.

personally, as a person who likes sports, I am curious about what this new sporting event that allows the usage of performance-enhancement drugs could lead to.

the video I stumbled upon
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h49A-2Zv8dA

some articles about the topic
https://apnews.com/article/australia-olympics-enhanced-games-doping-24462bcf8f1f97125a8234bea5723ff3
https://dotesports.com/general/news/the-enhanced-olympics-where-drugs-are-welcome-sounds-like-its-from-a-dystopian-video-game
https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2023/jun/30/the-enhanced-games-a-drugs-olympics-where-cheaters-can-prosper

I'd be more curious in wondering what the life expectancy will be of these athletes if this is allowed to happen. Messing with your body can't be a good thing, if it was then there wouldn't be so many rules against it. Why put yourself at risk for a few records and maybe some money? They will not be allowed in legitimate sports.
This. What people fail to consider is the fact that not only does doping give players an unfair advantage against the competition. It also endangers the player's health in the process especially if it's all about performance enhancing drugs and not the ones that's just gonna bulk you up. In any case this definitely will not receive recognition from any legitimate body of sports just cause the notion was stupid enough. Imagine if people were allowed/encouraged to use cheats in a videogame, doesn't that just drain the fun out of actually watching these players tough it out and prove that they are the best out there?

The same principle could be applied to doping olympics, cause it's basically the same thing only that you do the cheating in real life.

The market price won't increase in an instant, it's that simple. If you are betting using Bitcoin, then your $500 worth of btc and you happened to lose that amount, it won't be woth $800 in a single day. Also, if you are having hesitation or doubts of using it as a mode of payment then choose the alternative, and if you still do, then just focus on investing. It simply means that gambling is not for you and it won't do you any good if you will push yourself just because of the idea of earning profit 'coz there are many ways to do so. Gambling has its own risk other than in this industry alone so be sure to manage it well.
While I'm not against the idea of using bitcoin for wagers on bets and all that, I stand by your argument. Most people here see gambling as their way into the profit earning sector of the industry not knowing that they are actually looking for investing instead. But whatever, I see this post as nothing but a way for these people to advertise their site, read the article and it's just nothing but useless information about how bitcoins are mined and transacted upon which every year 2 bitcoin user already knows.

What people fail to consider is for one, your argument which is the fact that just because bitcoin is volatile, doesn't necessarily mean that it's going to jump between hundreds of dollars in mere days, especially if you didn't invest that much anyway. Another would be the notion that people are afraid of using bitcoin because they don't want to lose profits, which is simply untrue. While a good percentage of people who holds bitcoin think that way, the majority just sees better alternatives and cryptocurrencies to use for gambling instead of bitcoin.

It was exhilarating to say the least. The first time I joined and played the game (talking about my first ever experience gambling in a casino) it was loud and yet at the same time people are so invested that you'd not hear a single thing. I was nervous cause I only had experiences of playing that particular game in videogames and nothing else. When it came my turn, I was sweating profusely. I still managed to bag a couple of wins in there and ultimately go home with a positive experience. But since then I have never visited a land casino anymore.

My virtual gambling experience however, was a bit sadder. I was bored as hell during the heights of the COVID pandemic and you can't really do much back then since all stores are closed and everyone's forced to go back to their houses unless you work for the health sector. One day my old friends hit me up to recommend gambling where they play and bet on who's gonna bag more wins after the session. There's a prize pot that we all chipped in and we base winners on a hierarchy basis so that everyone's able to get something at the end of the day. It was fun while I was playing with friends and hanging out with them through Facebook Messenger and Discord but afterwards I just feel drained and sad, probably cause I couldn't hang out with them in real life.
