1341  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Olympic Games, but doping is allowed?! on: July 09, 2023, 09:14:49 PM
Enhance and unlock these athletes' potential. He's still got some and that's why he said that. It's just going to be a matter of time until the authorities will even intervene on this. They'll take those drugs for enhancement and that's going to do no good with the athletes that will participate on it. I guess it's only going to be some matter in the future that this president of this org will even say that this could be a joke and will pull a card to say that it's all just a prank.

We don't know the sincerity of this, if this is just a joke or what.
But in case they will push thru this kind of event, allowing athletes to dope, I believe some of them will get into trouble.
It is because we don't know to what extent it will affect the athlete's behavior, where being impatient or aggressive can be one of the after effect.
There will surely going to be some problems if this happens and gets into reality. Nobody wants to see this unless that person is with them and doping with them.

Well, if they will make this happen, we will know if this kind of event is possible or the organizers will regret of handling this event.
The athletes may go to the extreme of using such drugs just to see how it will affect his performance, maybe, they can implement a limit of use.
They may even use not athletes but just whoever wants to participate just for them to get the attention of everyone. I don't see anything serious on this and hopefully the authorities get into this before it even happens.

1343  Economy / Economics / Re: What will you do when you have Financial Freedom? on: July 09, 2023, 07:27:27 PM
Here in my country, I can do a lot of things. But I'll set off first with my family and let them experience all the happiness that we've never taken before. We're a family-oriented country and that's why we're thinking of each other as we struggle altogether before, then we'd be happy altogether after. Well, success is already there and money is no longer an issue and just like everyone is saying about buying properties, enjoying life and living to the fullest, those are nothing new and common thing that I'll shall do next too.
1344  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Things that influence our trading decisions on: July 09, 2023, 06:42:11 PM
This a good list, but the most usual reason that influences someone's trading decision is about being emotional. I do know that many pro traders won't be affected by that but the majority is being affected by their emotions. When you're too greedy and you're not satisfied with the profit that you should take, the emotion ticks in and likely won't give that satisfaction that you should have and even if you have to take profits, your emotion will stop you from doing so.
1345  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: July 09, 2023, 01:19:14 PM
This is quite off but still could be said related to PBA, while Kai is going to participate in the NBA summer league. There's also Myles Powell of the Bay Area Dragons who's playing in the Houston Rockets.
We can accommodate that kind of discussion here as it's still related to Philippine basketball. Kai Sotto is finally close to becoming an NBA player. With his height, that's already an advantage, so he has to impress the fans, the team, and everyone who can help him secure a contract. I believe the game is tomorrow early; I may not be able to watch it, but I'll be looking for a replay.
Sad to see that while looking for some stream with the Orlando Magic and Detroits NBA summer league, I have been seeing a lot of comments about Kai, "bangko". That's disappointing as he's not given playing time. Looking at NBA's website for the stats of the players, it's said this on his name together with other players.

DNP - Coach's Decision

"Bangko" indeed. Sad to note but I think the coach of the Magic has not seen the right time to let Kai play this is only one game, maybe in the next game they can give Kai some minutes but for us hoping that he will be signed by the Magic should taper our expectation as that possibility is very slim.
We'll see, there are only a few games for this summer league, and hopefully that Kai will get some exposure even just for a very short period of playing time. Look at the FB page of Orlando Magic, too many angry reacts. LOL
That's full of disappointment for most of our kababayans but that shouldn't be done as it's embarrassing especially for our boy Kai.

1347  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When Bitcoin will become stable currency? on: July 08, 2023, 01:55:31 PM
Bitcoin will never become a stable currency as it keeps bumping.. maybe you can re-post this after the whole 21m tokens be in the market by then there might be an answer for this question.
That's after 100+ years before the whole 21 million supply has been mined. Well, even if we're near to it, the entire cap will be reached around 2140 and despite that the whole mined bitcoin as of the moment is around 19.4M. This is why having it now is the best thing to do.
Scarcity, never gonna be stable and if it's about being stable with its price, we'll never know if we will achieve that somewhere in the future. And when we say about the future, we never know when.
1348  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade with caution on: July 08, 2023, 12:16:17 PM
That 3rd statement is true and has always been the case for the majority. Just as everyone is aware that they're on the profit, they're passing it on. It's because that they're thinking that the profit might be higher than what's being seen at the moment. Thus, greed is being detected on the majority while it's possible to sell at just keep the profit and win by that time, they're letting it pass because of the thought that the profit might be higher if they wait a little bit longer. Yes, that's possible but for how long? Years? or just a few days or just a few hours? Do not forget to satisfy yourself and take that profit.

1350  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Number of homeless people in Los Angeles County surges to more than 75,000 on: July 08, 2023, 07:01:02 AM
Aside from LA, although I'm not from the USA. I've seen also a video about the drug problem in Philadelphia wherein it's like in every place there. They're also homeless people that have overdosed on drugs and they're everywhere based on that video that I've watched.

The homeless problem has gotten so much worse since the pandemic. It’s gotten close to home no matter where you live. They’re being provided with free food and encouraged to stay in cities on sidewalks. I’m really not even sure how this problem can be solved. The government seems to be happy with the current situation.
I thought that this problem is only existing in countries like ours in the third world. And while our government is providing housing projects on these people, they don't like it due to the place where they'll be relocated. The result, they go back to the side walks and they sell the house even if it's not allowed.
1351  Economy / Economics / Re: Automating your savings will help you save more on: July 08, 2023, 06:00:58 AM
AFAIK, banks do have this feature for automating your savings or even the payment of your bills. Well, sometimes it's good and sometimes it's not. With what I mean by that is when you're in need of money but then the automated feature gets in and you're no longer able to alter it. However, it's still your bank and you've got the control with everything that lies within in. It's the discipline that's helping you out using this feature and then if you're able to adopt it on your own, even without such features, it's within your head and practice.
1352  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: MIR4 NFT game? on: July 08, 2023, 12:56:22 AM
1353  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Silliman University College of Law Professor Launch Platform To Educate Bitcoin on: July 08, 2023, 12:08:52 AM
1354  Economy / Gambling / Re: Whats happening with Betnomi? on: July 07, 2023, 08:04:18 PM
I just received a pending withdrawal from betnomi, so some positive!
Nice and good for you but the website is still down.

The maintenance still continue that is almost a week without any update in all social media channels.
Yeah, visited their website and still on the same maintenance. If it takes more and longer, that's not gonna be good for their business.

They have a lot of events and giveaway here in the forum. It will be such a waste if they leave now on this state.
Let's wait for them and maybe there's truly an ongoing maintenance and there will be a lot of working and redesigning and changes not just for their website but also for their games as well.
1355  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is justice really blind? on: July 07, 2023, 07:20:48 PM
Friends let's do small judiciary work and legal advice this morning. A woman was accused of killing her husband, his body was never found and she was sentenced. Years after serving her jail term, she found out the man is living with another woman.

She went and shot the man several times and he died for real this time around and she was re-arrested for the same murder on the same person.

As a judge what will you do ?
will you address the case as a fresh murder or will you consider it as a crime she already served the term?

lawyers, your opinion is needed. Over to you
It's a fresh murder and passion crime. The sentence that she has served is the first one that's been verdict on her. If I'll be the judge, the situation is possible that she will be lessened with the verdict of years service in jail but that doesn't mean she'll not go to jail.
1356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pi Network is under investigation in Vietnam on: July 07, 2023, 02:08:41 PM
Good initiative by the Vietnam government. These authorities have for sure a lead on where they'll begin the investigation and who are the people that they'll search for. This mania will be stopped and alert the other pi members in different parts of the world.
They've got a lot of people that have been fooled and even sent their verification and identities on them. That's why many are hoping that this won't turn into a scam.

1359  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it safe to keep your money in bank? on: July 06, 2023, 11:47:10 PM
Why keep the coins on an exchange when we have the option to use hardware wallets such as Trezor and Ledger wallets? You're trying to say banks are not secure for storing money, but I would still advise storing money in banks. While bank collapses are rare, we cannot blindly trust cryptocurrencies due to their high volatility.
Thanks to this market that is opening the eyes of everyone on how we should keep our money and assets. While there are still people that can't avail to buy hardware wallets because they think that it's not worth it based on how much they've got so, some good wallets that are downloadable and free are enough for them.

In my view, performing KYC, 2FA, and Email verification does not provide a guarantee that your funds are secure on any exchange.
That in no way has a connection to the safety of funds. When an exchange says that your funds are safe, it's just all words unless proved by them during a tough situation they experience.
1360  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The danger of gender inequality on: July 06, 2023, 11:24:15 PM
I don't think there's gender inequality on that. If the person who's assigned to choose the best candidate sees the best in one, then that's the decision that must be done. This is just the tough situation of the hiring, application, and selection process. There's nothing wrong with that if that's the quality that the CMD is looking for in a candidate. Usually in this hiring process, if a company has already found the one that they are looking for, they'll reject and stop wasting time in the selection and also saves time the applicants.
