1361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Hashra mini controla download? on: July 11, 2016, 06:06:39 PM
Thanks, but when I tried to donwload this and unzip it to an IMG file, it reports that it's corrupted archive.

maybe it's corrupted now il download it and try . can't say i don't own any hashara stuff i think i did once or was able to use there software with some zeus miners i had once sense the chips for it were the same .

I got it to download and unzip, it unzipped as hashra-mini-controla-v1.4.0.img, I will send the unzip file to you, say were .  PM me if you don't want others knowing your contact info. Don't worry il delete it after i send it.

I will even re zip it if  you want it in zip form.

1362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SimpleMining.net Easy OS RX 4xx or R9 3xx/2xx - RELEASED on: July 11, 2016, 05:55:57 PM
or offer a one time charge like http://ethosdistro.com/kb/ does i bought a copy of that software i don't use it but still have it and do load it form time to time to see whats new, i like making my own and doing all my own custom set ups etc , after i learn how to .

Sense you said it's a hobby why not just offer some kind of reason able one time charge if you have no plans to make a living doing it and but want to help and feel you need some thing in return, which is cool .

I wish claymores miner offered a one time charge but that might be a little hard because of how it's used , i use it as much as i don't want to but it's kept up to date so right now it's about the best one to use .
1363  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitfury: "16nm... sales to public start shortly" on: July 11, 2016, 05:08:46 PM
As evidenced by this thread words from Bitfury mean nothing, except perhaps that they're somewhat good at PR.

Yeah and unfortunately its a big one. They've certainly never scammed anyone but we just can't trust anything they say any more. We fell for it more than once and the rugs been pulled out from under us again and again. It also boggles the mind that after completing my 50th - and probably my last - hardware review, that there has not been one IRL picture or miner seen by a third party since their generation one boards. Bitfury, the leading hardware manufacturer of ghost hardware.

last why bitmain going private ?. !!! or your done dealing with it ? and finally see others point of view of how much the big guys really Don't care any more .

and

when i read that blog one time from some one from bitfury back in the 70 'S about his family, I knew then it was BS they were feeding us because if they really cared wed have those chips it was  one big troll or PR to get the big bucks involved with the best advertisement around and it's free, us and these forums . Smiley.

1365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Yes you can finally mine Ethereum on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS on: July 11, 2016, 04:54:18 PM
well when ever some one actually gets it working without  error in ubuntu 16 like it does with ubuntu 15 or before . ill try again i either get the error like langxxl listed or no cards found.

but if I use ubuntu 15 or before no issues.

@ tytanick

i tired your image all it did was make my screen flash then nothing .. i don't think I'm gonna use it any way the fee is way to high as others have said .once ubuntu  16 fully supports AMD we won't need it, most will make then own install.
1366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Hashra mini controla download? on: July 11, 2016, 04:46:09 PM
it's either this one from hashra

Code:
https://mega.nz/#!Pw4yjZLI!FryuGnpRx_nG-7eev_ucAUjEGUMD7oZViAnItbJ2XOQ

or

Minera

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=596620.0

or use SSH, command line it with BFG or a fork of Cgminer before they removed all Scrpt support in CGMINER .

Hashra turn out to be a scam company after Zeus and some other company's ripped off a lot on the forums.

Download AMDGPU-Pro Driver Version 16.30 released by AMD.

The basics of the install:
1. download amdgpu-pro_16.30.3-306809.tar.xz
2. extract the compressed file to your home folder or somewhere.
3. goto that folder and now run the installation script "sudo ./amdgpu-pro-install"

For reference here is AMD's page:

support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/AMD-Radeon-GPU-PRO-Linux-Beta-Driver%E2%80%93Release-Notes.aspx

And here is the direct link to the compressed file:
https://www2.ati.com/drivers/linux/amdgpu-pro_16.30.3-306809.tar.xz
NOTE: You have to extract the compressed file and then run the script to install the driver to make opencl devices detectable (for ethminer, oclhashcat, etc.)
I am using 6 - RX 480 (4GB model ) in Ubuntu 16.04 LTS
Stock settings. I believe the ram is at 7000mhz vs 8000 mhz in 8GB version.

Preliminary benchmarks
Ubuntu 16.04 LTS
Driver is 16.30 for Linux
Genoil 1.1.7
2 - XFX 4gb rx 480
4 - Sapphire 4gb rx 480

Doing about 134-139 mh/s. I'd say its doing about 22.5 or 23mh/s in Ubuntu 16.04 in stock mode.
Next up is finding out how to overclock/undervolt GPUs in Ubuntu 16.04 with atitweak or something else Smiley

The drivers do work ? . gonna give it a try i saw them up on AMD sites the other day was waiting for some one to post good way to load them gonna try now .

thanks

1373  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Halving = Less Miners = Slower Transactions on: July 09, 2016, 04:20:21 PM

1375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Zeus Thunder X3 scrypt miner on: July 06, 2016, 09:47:02 AM
more setting from the minera help .

https://getminera.com/help#bfgminer

BFGMINER

Zeus Miner generic

Code:
--scrypt -S zus:all --set zus:chips=X --set zus:clock=Y

Zeus Miner per device

Code:
--scrypt -S zus:/dev/ttyUSB0 --set zus:chips=6 --set zus:clock=328 -S zus:/dev/ttyUSB1 --set zus:chips=64 --set zus:clock=224

1376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Zeus Thunder X3 scrypt miner on: July 06, 2016, 09:07:49 AM
This should cover it till you know more. !!!

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=596620.0

same setting work with windows as well as with a linux based OS, if you use bfgminer

Code:
bfgminer -o stratum+tcp://pool:port -u user -p pass --scrypt -S zus:all --set zus:chips=128 --set zus:clock=328 --set zus:ignore_golden_nonce=1
or
Code:
bfgminer -o stratum+tcp://pool:port -u user -p pass --scrypt -S all --set zus:chips=128 --set zus:clock=328
or
Code:
bfgminer --scrypt -S all -o stratum+tcp://pool:port -u user -p pass --set zus:chips=128 --set zus:clock=328

This might help some ,

http://cryptominingasic.com/bfgminer-port-for-zeusminer/
https://litecointalk.org/index.php?topic=20477.0

I would use BFG miner over cgminer, bfg is kept up to date including old drivers as needed . cg miner had all  scrypt mining support removed after version 3.80 or something like that bfg kept it all .

you many not need this line

Code:
--set zus:ignore_golden_nonce=1

if the miner under powers, the above line might be why , bfg was refined to work good with any Zeus miner .

from the bfg README.ASIC:

You should also configure the driver for your specific device:

--set zeusminer:clock=N        Clock frequency (default: 328)
--set zeusminer:chips=N        Number of chips per device

         Blizzard    :  6                 Cyclone     :  96
        Hurricane X2: 48 (2*24)    Hurricane X3:  64 (2*32)
        Thunder   X2: 96 (4*24)   Thunder   X3: 128 (4*32)

Note: if you set this option incorrectly, the device may underperform and/or
      misreport hashrate.

For example:

Code:
bfgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://pool:port -u user -p pass -S zeusminer:\\.\COM3 --set zeusminer:clock=328 --set zeusminer:chips=128
1377  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What's your kWh price while mining Ethers with GPU? on: July 06, 2016, 09:00:02 AM
after all the fees are added on to 7.89 cents per kwh i pay around 11 to 12 cent per kwh, BG And E was allowed to add more to my bill sigh starting with Junes bill,  i was paying around  10 cents with fees . IF i get it all from BG and E id pay up to 15 cents they have no problem expressing that on there site Sad.

1380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 5$ to whoever gets my gawminer black widow working on: July 06, 2016, 01:49:18 AM
bfgminer should do it just fine

http://luke.dashjr.org/programs/bitcoin/files/bfgminer/5.4.2/bfgminer-5.4.2-win64.zip   windows 64 bit

http://luke.dashjr.org/programs/bitcoin/files/bfgminer/5.4.2/bfgminer-5.4.2-win32.zip   windows 32 bit

on your windows PC after you download bfg and unzipped it, go to the start menu type in search box CMD

then CD to were you have bfg unzipped some thing like this  C:\Users\Administrator\Desktop\bfgminer-5.4.2-win64

then type after you turn on the miner

Code:
bfgminer -o stratum+tcp://pool:port -u user -p pass --scrypt -S zus:all --set zus:chips=X --set zus:clock=Y --set zus:ignore_golden_nonce=1

the above lines should work with out the need to set a com port in the setting with BFG  even with windows, you all so need to fill in the your mining pool and the user log in and pw. i left that as you see it .

if it says no device found you may need to install this driver

http://www.silabs.com/Support%20Documents/Software/CP210x_Windows_Drivers.zip

I  left the chips as x and clock as y because there is two version of the  gawminer black widow,  i have no idea which one you have .

This might help some , i would use BFG miner over cgminer, bfg is kept up to date including old drivers as needed . cg miner had all  scrypt mining support removed after version 3.80 or something like that bfg kept it all .

http://cryptominingasic.com/gaw-miners-black-widow-setup-instructions-and-user-manual/
http://cryptominingasic.com/bfgminer-port-for-zeusminer/

you many not need this line

Code:
--set zus:ignore_golden_nonce=1

if the miner under powers, the above line might be why , bfg was refined to work good with any Zeus miner type sense all the gawminer is, is a Zeus miner .

but do consider using any pi type and find out how to install Ubuntu 16 in it then use it, it works better then, all ways having a windows PC on etc but takes some learning.

keep the five bucks if this works , always glad to help .!!!
