Their win streak is still alive, who would have thought they'll have a big 4th quarter comeback to win the game? 33-17 was the score, their import though not so offensive tonight but getting 20 rebounds was a big thing. Congrats to the Converge backers, but only those who bet on ML.
1462  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How important are exchanges? on: November 13, 2022, 11:30:05 AM
Bitcoins can exist without exchanges, but would you support the argument that the existence of exchanges are among the factors facilitating the popularity and accessibility that people have to bitcoins?
In some way they might but, I'll try not to view it as that. They definitely play a of defining the price and value of coins. That's actually an important aspect of a currency. Its the reasons we've got the foreign exchange markets for flats too.

In the eyes of rejection and a dream of the global bitcoin adoption as a secondary currency (let's not be too ambitious), exchanges makes it easy for one to spend his or her bitcoins by converting it to its fiat equivalent and one can work with what is accepted at there locality.

Exchanges are that important and they allow other forms of trading too. They are helping for sure.
Perhaps it was a tool connected to crypto. Because in the first place, we can never see exchanges if there is no Bitcoin or crypto. But because it fits the need of the people, exchanges have been playing an important role in a growing cryptocurrency just like fiat exchanges. They both tide up strong and we ca n really appreciate the importance of this because we are using this especially if you are a trader.

What just went wrong is that many scam exchanges popped up and many people lost their money in the hands of scammers. That is why some people will think it is better to no exchanges have been created.
1463  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can we see a huge rise in the price of Dogecoin ? on: November 13, 2022, 10:19:02 AM
it should be very possible that even if it doesn't have a big impact like Elon Musk initially entered crypto but at least Elon Musk still has a lot of followers and is known as the richest man in the world. There will definitely be an impact on the doge coin it supports.
Well, I would not say it was possible but yes, we can't neglect the influence he has in Dogecoin and with his huge number of social media followers and supporters, that certainly give a huge impact on his intention. But for now, it was a mystery - we never know exactly what he is planning with Dogecoin. I found it to be more interesting this time but I spend my money wisely and invest long-term coins, not in shilled ones or in hyped ones.
1464  Other / Off-topic / Re: Time management on: November 12, 2022, 09:27:49 PM
Time management, in my opinion is a skill. A skill that comes naturally to some, while others would strive to attain. Time management skills are valued by employers on a recruitment drive and are always on the lookout for such a skill.

I didn't consider it a skill but a task. We did this because it is necessary especially if you are multitasking. In fact, it was been a practice in major companies either small or big companies are adopting this strategy in order to become more productive.

It was not a criterion when looking for an applicant or an employee but what the company needs is someone who has managing skills that could implement this strategy in the company. Strong management skills will likely fill the job.
1465  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 12, 2022, 03:27:27 PM
There's no other team now that is doing well without their superstar than the Portland TrailBlazers. I don't imagine them winning games with Lillard but look where they are now, they are currently the number 2 standing in the West, and could reach the number 1 spot if Jazz will lose some games and they'll continue winning.
Jazz is a strong team, I think they've got a balance composition of players. Some have been known for being good players but not the same treatment as the other teams as a superstar and they're doing well just like the Blazers. There is only 1 win led by Jazz if it's against the standing and record of the Blazers. While on the other conference, Bucks is doing it and taking the lead on the Eastern conference while the favorite teams of most, GSW and Lakers are struggling.

I know that we are surprised by the Jazz but they are already a complete and healthy team this season. Prior to the start of the season, they don't have Mitchell and Gobert already, so this team that has an impressive run now is just proving to everyone that they should not be underestimated. However, I'm more impressed with the Blazers because they lose their star player but they are still playing like normal, I would not be surprised if they will have a better playoff run this season than the past playoffs.

1467  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: investment in bitcoin should be short term or long term. on: November 12, 2022, 12:56:10 PM
I don't know if the four-year bull/bear cycle is an accurate statement. If it is accurate, investing for four years will definitely make money.

There is no guarantee that after 4 years bitcoin will definitely rise again but history happened, in the past 3 halvings bitcoin always bounced back, always hit new ATHs and now we are expecting history to repeat itself. But with the current development and widespread acceptance, it is certain that bitcoin will increase in price in the near future, supply is limited and once demand exceeds supply, price increases are inevitable.
There are too many expectations after halving. People are expecting another ATH for Bitcoin, people are expecting huge profits as well which makes them courageous to buy/invest in Bitcoin during the price deduction.

I actually don't believe in history repeating itself but it was once proven to come and I am also witnessing such an event. This makes me change my view of the market and help enlighten me that Bitcoin is really a good investment whether it was long-term or short-term.
1468  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Market is about to pump on: November 12, 2022, 11:58:57 AM
The market will pump(soon) but not these shitcoins.
Yes, I can't deny that I miss the opportunity to sell some of my coins during the last bull season as I think it rallies more. And I feel mad about it but never I feel that I lose hope because I still have the chance to invest potential coins.
2024 is projected to have the next halving and everyone is seemingly hoping this could lead to higher market demand and price increases. Investors are preparing now, I guess nobody will miss this time again.
1469  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Capital during sudden crashes on: November 11, 2022, 09:41:24 PM
Have observed in past that sudden crashes tend to be caused by FUD/over-reaction rather than anything substantial and the market eventually recovers.

In such times, capital can be handy as such opportunities are like finding gold on street.

I've seen the bear market as a tricky situation for investors.
FUDs are still influencing the market badly and injecting negativity into the minds of the people. Many people suffered losses for not understanding the situation and keep thinking about their money which lead to panic selling and losing their capital. It was very unfortunate but things like this will absolutely happen because not all can deal with the market situation and keep their faith.

As I was here and experience that previous bear market, I know how to adjust and adapt to market changes because I know price recovery will soon come which gives me a reason to hold and remain calm.
1470  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Exchangers Are safer then Banks and wallets on: November 11, 2022, 09:08:16 PM
At least i get refund and i sleep well
Oh, really? Well, I don't understand what you mean by losses. Like in trading or when your account gets hacked?

Anyways, it was several times people are answering the disadvantage of keeping your funds in the exchanger as it was not advisable. Let us say that you get the refund now but what if the Binance wallet got hacked? Do you think they will refund you?

You can only sleep well if you have the keys to your wallet but since you don't have them and you are just relying on the security of Binance exchange, that is different. For me, I couldn't unless you are just leaving a small amount there.
1471  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Manny Pacquiao vs. DK Yoo on: November 11, 2022, 01:38:25 PM

Can't imagine how it will going to be like if Manny converts a solid combo with Yoo chin, might be a KO sleep for him..

That would happen if there's no script, but if there's a script that will be followed, Pacman is not gonna hurt Yoo in this fight for this to be exciting to watch. We know already who's gonna win, but for the sake of entertainment, they should make it a fight that is fun to watch, and that means no one will be seriously hurt.
1472  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: November 11, 2022, 12:17:07 PM
Look at the voting result, seems like we have a very exciting voting result here as there's no heavy favorite to win based on the pulse of the posters. I'm thinking, maybe I should bet on the underdog, I'm pretty sure Thurman would not go down in this fight, so I predict it will be Thurman winning via decision.
1473  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The bear market is your friend on: November 10, 2022, 09:39:15 PM
I agree. In the bear market you have time to learn things you haven't learned or things you're late in learning. We should not look at the bear market as bad. I would say it is a better season for self-improvement.  Seasons like this will come so that you will realize something and turn to other things. Otherwise, you may not take the time for this and run away to easy money. There is nothing like researching and adding something to yourself in this season.
It is a useful tool to help us understand crypto and the volatility of the market. This helps us realize how volatility works as the market won't give us all the favor like being bullish all the time, yet the bear market comes and the market changes its direction from time to time. And those who think about easy will simply know that they are wrong. And as we are in this situation, it also teaches how to become strong against the FUDs and knows how to control your emotions. That is why the bear market is not all about negativity but it also gives some advantages and opportunity.
1474  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: November 10, 2022, 12:15:24 PM
Not a huge oddt, but I put it live betting with decent amount of money between the Kings and Cavs

At least I'm back in winning, I wanted to bet on other matches, but I just stick to this one and lucky me I hit it with still 1 minute on the game.

I thought that it will go to OT, but the Kings close them out really fast with good defense on Mitchell and Garland.

Good job mate, you are lucky with that pick but me, I would not take a live bet for 1.75 odds, unless I know too well that I will win which is impossible, haha.. but that is gambling, just go with your guts and most of the time you'll win.  Smiley
1475  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: November 10, 2022, 11:29:59 AM
I miss the game today, I should have put my bet on converge but it would be on a spread, I don't know what's the point spread in that particular game. Anyway, there's still a big game going on now, NLEX vs NorthPort, as usual NLEX still continues their struggle.

Anyone who believes they'll have a come back should bet on the NLEX with 6.00 odds.

The game went well for Converge they are now in the top 2 spot, they really doing it with passion, import is carrying the young guns and he's really effective bringing everyone and make sure that locals will play their role to win a game, it is nice to see individual team making his way to compete and to have a chance to move to the next round, hope they can get to the semis or even in the finals.

In the other game, I didn't see anyone replies with your last statement and it's a good thing because NP didn't give NLEX a chance
to win, taking it with a decent margin.

Their import is really good, he could probably win the best import award at this conference because by far, he is the most consistent import. I even think that they have a good chance beating good teams like SMB and Ginebra, so hopefully they'll clash in the playoffs so we will see a great series.
1476  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is "Solana" Will be the Next to get Killed.. on: November 09, 2022, 12:06:49 PM
What we saw with Solana is somewhat an indication for its future, it seems hopeless to see this project long-term but smells like a shitcoin that is soon to die. In fact, their investors and supporters had left earlier for they actually have some negative view of what might happen to this project. We never have to neglect this situation, it is about testing projects in the market to see who will ever stay.

Solana has once been hyped last year and it struggling now to survive, that is a terrible thing to happen in a project that it was just created for such event.
1477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: November 07, 2022, 01:31:56 PM
The warriors are back at home with 5 losing streak, I guess it will be hard to bet against them, although the spread is -8 but I think they'll have a sweet victory here with a double digit win, so I'm betting on the Warriors. Also I'm eying on the following games.

Dallas vs Brooklyn
Lakers vs Jazz
Cleveland vs Clippers
Boston vs Memphis
Bucks vs Hawks.
1478  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: November 07, 2022, 12:45:12 PM
So, this match is just a month and a few days to wait. And this match is already booked in Duelbits and look at high the odds are.
1.02 for Naoya and 11.00 for Butler. Well, just like what the crowd is talking about Naoya who's going to win this match but if you're a gambler and you believe on some lucky punch of Butler, this is going to take a lot of risk if you're going to bet with such amounts.

The odds were already available early but if only the ML odds are out for now, it's not attractive for bettors as no one would bet on Inoue with an odds of 1.02, that was insane, although he will likely win, but would your risk with that 1.02? I guess we should wait for more alternatives.
There will be people to bet especially those who are a die hard fans of Inoue. He is popular enough to have gamblers on his back no matter what. On my end I'd go with betting on Naoya even if I'm not a die hard fan of him, I was just taking advantage of the odds. But to be safe I won't put that nuch money for this fight simply because I am still not aware of their full potential (would watch clips of both fighters a week before the fight so I can conclude which one) but I'd go for now with the crowd favorite. In sports, inspite of the difference between popularity and biases, things could be changed once the bell rings and as long as fighters are still up on their feet. Luck? that would work but in this sport, instincts and talents are more dominant.
Personally, I'm a die-hard fan of Inoue but I will not bet on Inoue because he has 1.02 odds, that's not gonna attract me, imagine, if I will put $1000, I would just win $20, I think that's not gonna satisfy me. So instead, I would just wait for better odds with other betting options, not the ML.
1479  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 07, 2022, 12:09:50 PM
Utah Jazz stunned the Clippers on their own homecourt.

Such a big win for the Jazz, both Clippers and Lakers are dealt with accordingly, and that is because of their good team work. PG13 scored huge points but the Jazz had a proper distribution of points, their big 3 were playing well.
1480  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bear market Survivals on: November 07, 2022, 10:47:55 AM
You have a lot of time to prepare in this bear adventure, that's why I love this time slot. For the most suitable basket, of course, I usually prefer CMC top 100 coins. I think the current prices are suitable for choosing altcoins. However, it would be more ideal to prefer Major altcoins. It won't be successful because there will be thousands of altcoins, you just don't want to sit back and watch it.
100 coins are huge, it is better to lower your criteria in choosing coins like the top 20 or the top 10. Because I could assume that many coins from the top 100 are still worthless to invest in and a waste of time either. Like if we just make a choice from the top 20 or 10, we are sure that these coins will survive the bear season.

When I choose coins, it doesn't matter to me the price but the potentiality of the particular project. I've experience buying cheap coins before but sadly, I haven't a chance to sell them, and it was one of the top 100 coins in the CMC.
