1461  Economy / Economics / Re: ETF - Will be approved or not? Price will grow up anyway? on: March 01, 2017, 08:57:30 PM
Well in my own opinion, I don't see any changes that will happen even if ETF is approved the only thing we will see is just the initial shock for the market to adjust to recent happenings and after that, everything will be back to normal but the part of the approval is what I am skeptical about in the sense that, something that has not be expressly accepted as a legal tender is now to be traded on the stock market ...
1462  Economy / Economics / Re: BitCoin Exchange on: March 01, 2017, 08:46:13 PM
Is making a bitcoin exchange a profitable business? Has anyone have any experience?
And I don't mean an online one, but a local one where people can go and buy/sell bitcoin.
What do you think?
I can understand that it will depend upon the location, but I think it can help in inviting more people to bitcoin too, right?

Exchange is actually profitable but there is no way one can excuse the online factor in other to reach more client speaking from the situation of things around here, having a location might be totally out of couple as the awareness is low couple with the cost of getting a location, running an office among others where one can do same thing from the comfort of your room or office in addition to daily job... That for me is just the right way to go about it...

1464  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Betternot.rest benefiting the entire Bitcoin community on: February 28, 2017, 06:38:23 PM
Pardon me for being pessimistic but from what I have read everything I have seen is  ' We are working with' since January and this ending of February nothing new has been added.

Also you need to also explain why I should put money in this when there is google calendar which you are also planning to integrate that can virtually do what you listed here with little or no cost. Aside that there are several apps that can serve as an alarm in that regards.

Explanation will be very much appreciated...
1465  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: What skills are needed to put up a crypto-related website? on: February 28, 2017, 06:32:05 PM
Based on what I have read so far and your responses I see you have stuff and ready to defend it with facts. That aside having stuff is not the only thing needed as that without backed by action is futility. Then the other things you will need are large finance because from the marketing to the review, then bonuses to attract users, its a whole lot of money.

Another is to form a team, in the sense that, aside from the coder and you as the administrator, you might want to need someone, who will want to help in the legal matters and he must have a perfect understanding of what the project is all about in other to advice accordingly...
1466  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has the high fees problem changed your behaviour when spending bitcoins? on: February 28, 2017, 02:35:04 PM
Personally I'm now less prone to do a btc transaction since the fee market has exploded and blockstream/sidechains aren't really available currently. I was enjoying speding btc with sites like humblebundle, but currently is really a pain. It's just me or you are on the same boat?

Although I dont use bitcoin to get basic things as we have no merchant accepting it as a means of payment so we are left with only to convert to fiat before getting anything we want to get. In that regards when it come to fees I try as much as possible to reduce to the barest minimum by not converting every now and then. What I do is accumulate to the point I needed to cash out I just pay the one time fee which is not always too much compared to what I want to get...
1467  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin adoption in Africa: Bitcoin solving problems in the country on: February 28, 2017, 12:05:59 PM
Hi Everyone,

We come to learn that Bitcoin adoption is rapidly growing in Africa. Analysts say that Bitcoin could be a solution to problems in Africa including remittances, economic difficulties and even corruption. If this would be successful for Africa, would it do the same for other countries too?

What can you guys say about it? Smiley

Reading through the article, I could not agree less concerning the rapid popularity bitcoin is gaining in Africa especially Nigeria as this is supported with facts that can be verified but on the part that it could solve problems including remittances is not what I will subscribe to that even advanced countries with sophisticated infrastructures still provide a stiff opposition to bitcoin simply because they could not find a way to ensure the right remittance, I wonder how Africa could now make that and explore to their advantage.

In the last few posts that I have been able to read, its so disappointing to see a project tow this lane after the initial hype and positive reviews that have greeted it in the past weeks. Aside that, the tagging on red flag over it is another call for concern. I doubt if this project will be able to gather what it purported in the crowdsale ( if at all it happens). What I have learnt is that a single member can bring about the fall of the entire team...

1470  Economy / Services / Re: Tired of mining bitcoin- try growing marijuana fr bitcoin on: February 27, 2017, 03:44:51 PM
Hi guys

if you tired of mining try growing.

In this method you dont invest in boring shady mining farms but in marijuana grow farms.

With your down payment the grow op will get financed, location, license, lights, seeds etc will be paid from that

depending on your payment the more will be your profit.

This is a great way to be part of the cannabis boom and earn bitcoin

Payout will be after Cannabis batch is sold  ( approximatly every 4 month)

Drop me a line if interessted or if you have questions

If I get you correctly you are literally raising ICO to grow weed an item which is illegal in most countries. Do you even consider the legality of your services before coming here to sell one? I am sure you didnt. Good luck to those who still want to add more to the problem the world is facing currently...
1471  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will happen when 1 satoshi is $ 1? on: February 27, 2017, 09:35:48 AM
What if bitcoin gains much more value than you anticipate? So what happens when 1 satoshi reaches the price of 1 dollar?
What kind of arrangement is made if payment is requested as Cent? Can the bitcoin core be modified?

That will be a long way to go. Although, I will not say its impossible because even the price we are seeing for bitcoin today, quite a number of people would have said its not possible but at the same time, its not going to be easy if it becomes possible and when that happen, I see alot of faucet sites start giving out a fraction of cents, signature campaigns now paying in satoshis among other things because the price will be un-affordable to a lot of people...
1472  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Anybody hear of newage-bank? Offering bitcoin credit cards loaded automatically on: February 27, 2017, 08:43:34 AM
Just heard of this site:
https://newage-bank.com/

Can't find any information on them because they started just on Feb 27th today.
There faq sheet doesn't work too well so can not see where they are and if they are a registered company and for what country.
If they can send you a bitcoin credit card funded by what you send to the them.
They are also giving you 35000 satoshi on the debit/credit card for signing up from what I read quickly on their site.

Since they are new then not a large percentage of the community wuld have heard about them but at the same time if any site is coming to the already saturated market then there should be no room for any flaws, and they should be on top of their game right from the first day of launch which is not the case in this website as you have rightly noted as the most basic is not even gotten right. For me, I would rather take my time before patronising such site...

1474  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 0.0012 daily Bitcoin and more on: February 26, 2017, 06:51:30 AM
When I see sites pop up like this promising mouth watering returns, I just laugh and pity those who will fall for it especially newbies who are promoting the referral links thinking 'by the time I do this for 10days, I am already rich' not knowing they have been played upon. Some of this sites were even funny that when its time to withdraw, the withdraw function just stop working or some will even congratulates you for the withdrawal with nothing in your wallet...

1477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can trading be considered as gambling?? on: February 21, 2017, 05:51:06 PM
Although there is a thin line between the two but they are different and if one is not careful, you might be engaging in one thinking you are doing the other. For example an individual with no particular knowledge on trading then go ahead to invest in some coins simply because others are making money from such endeavour, is merely gambling and not the other way round of what he thought he is actually doing...
1478  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do small investments make sense? on: February 21, 2017, 03:52:27 PM
When we think about investments we imagine investors with big sums of money, so for btc casino it would be 1 or more btc, for instance. However, the minimum amount you can invest is usually 0.01btc which is only 10$. Do you think such investments are profitable but you earn small sums or maybe they don't make sense at all? Can someone explain it to me?

Quite a number of people have would have commented on this but I would just add that when deciding what will be right amount of investment just have one fundamental which is 'can I afford to lose this amount?' the moment you can answer that then you are good to go... No more no less and dont forget the higher you put, the higher the return which goes back to the question, how much can you afford to lose?...
1479  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] Are You losing Interest ? on: February 21, 2017, 02:39:32 PM
After looking at your profile and see that you have been here since 2013, you have seen the good old days and the bad ones and even at your rank, you have no higher ground to go. Couple with the fact that life itself is a phase and what interest me sometimes 3 years ago, I might no longer find amusing. There is nothing wrong in that... But for me, and quite a number of people who are coming in on a daily basis still believe and will continue to until this phase is over and who knows, it might not be over...
1480  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] HashForest.com Official Announcement! on: February 21, 2017, 07:39:12 AM
And if it wasn't obvious enough, offering 8% extra hash rate doesn't seem that reasonable.  I'd love to see pictures of the facility.
[/quote]

Even with pictures, I wont still believe because that can easily be gotten on the internet. Cloud mining on its own is a ponzi site and thats what it means to me. And with the return this site is now offering at 8% daily on referrals, then I dont need a sooth sayer to tell me this is double ponzi scheme. Good luck to those who wants to try this out and hopefully you will be able to recoup your investment in 2050...
